My family and I really really enjoyed this location although we only stayed one night, we where very impressed! From the island inspired décor to the peaceful bomb fire near the ocean… love love loved it! Great family resort… they even had movie night by the pool for the kids. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

We checked out of our room(#400) this morning after staying for 3 nights. I wanted to let you know about our stay. I was going to address it when I checked out this morning but the staff member did not ask me how my stay was so I figured she was not the correct person to address this with. First off I want to say that this was our 3rd time visiting your resort. The location, grounds, and staff are all great. The original room we were in was not in the best location in regards to easy access to the pool and bay for our young children, we called in and were given the option to upgrade to a room in the area we preferred. This was great. The room was very spacious which was nice, but we had issues. The first was the coach was disgusting, there are dark stains all over it and I’m sure they’ve been there a while. The ceiling had scotch tape all over, not sure what that was about, the blinds in the bedroom had broken slates, walking around barefoot made our feet black, and the worst of it was the bathroom sinks and the tub/shower were barely draining. This meant looking at toothpaste and spit in the sink as it took minutes to slowly drain, water collecting with soap, shampoo, shaving cream, hair, etc as we took a shower, gross! My wife called in and they said someone would come by while we were out to fix it. When we came back at night one sink was better, not the other, but the shower did drain. The next night our youngest son had an accident(wet the bed) on the pullout mattress from the coach. In the morning we called in and let them know(and apologized) about the situation. We were told they would change everything out including the mattress while we were out. We got home later in the evening and everything was changed out except the mattress(we marked it, it wasn’t changed and wreaked up pee smell). It was late and our kids needed to get to bed because we were getting up early. So they had to deal with sleeping in a dry pee-soaked bed. As a temporary fix we called in and asked for an extra blanket to lay down on it. It took over an hour and 3 phone calls to get the blanket. We were literally waiting that hour for the blanket in order to go to bed. Let’s just say our trip to San Diego was great, your resort is great, but the room stunk!(literally, on the last night). We paid a premium price to stay with you and I do not feel we received the value given the problems with the room and the maintenance/janitorial’s lack of fixing our problems. Please let me know what you can do to make this right.

First let me start by saying: If you found this place on hotels tonight or booked it because it is convenient for Seaworld and have never stayed in a California resort or mainly stay at Motel 6, the resort fees are normal and you’re going to hate the water pressure and bathtub drainage because California is trying to save water so that future generations can enjoy places such as this. Please don’t give this resort a one star review because of YOUR ignorance. Also you should probably stay on the top floor of the highest hotel you can find because ants will find you — they’re a big problem in the entire state wherever plants grow and little kids drop food crumbs. I really meant to give this place 5 stars because the staff are incredible(esp Keana at the front desk whom we drove crazy), the resort is beautiful, and the rooms are large and well maintained, but I can’t for the following reasons: 1) after 3 nights here, my back hurts from the bed. Our room is nice, but the mattress is one of those cheap springy ones. I planned on going for a pedicure at the spa, but I’ll for sure need to invest in a massage. 2) They’re doing construction on some sections of the resort. This would be fine since we can’t hear it, but I have lost count of how many times we’ve stumbled around caution tape because there is no easy way to get from the main pool or dinner to our room and no signage is available to help guide us. 3) Some amenities were closed due to low occupancy on Tues and Wed. We’re paying to stay at a resort with a pool bar and nice restaurant… Not a motel like half the other people that come on weekends with their kids. Don’t make us feel less valuable by providing half the service. The Alice app is fine, but we’re not paying $ 7 service charge plus tip every time we want 2 drinks delivered to the pool.

From the initial contact over a year before our wedding, to the goodbye hug at the end of our wedding night, Ashley Abbott was absolutely perfect the entire way through. She was extremely responsive anytime we reached out to her, whether it was through call, text or email. She made sure that she kept us informed and up to date the entire time, which made us feel very comfortable and in good hands. Our wedding exceeded our expectations down to every single tiny detail. It was absolutely gorgeous and the most fun we’ve ever had. We genuinely never had to worry about a thing. We cannot say enough good things about Ashley. Ashley, we owe it all to you and we cannot thank you enough.

Don’t do it! I used to love this play. I have stayed there several times. It is dated but I overlooked this because I liked how it was peaceful. I will NEVER stay there again. The hotel would not cancel my reservation a week before the date and they were impossible to reach on the phone. I left numerous messages and it took days to call back and then the staff was super rude. Try the Bahia resort for something similar but with better service or the US grant downtown or Andaz downtown.

BRIDESBEAWARE! I had my wedding ceremony at Paradise Point at the most expensive wedding ceremony site there last weekend. I has over 20 rooms booked and a lot of money being spent there. This was the absolute worst experience of my life! My wedding coordinator changed three times in the course of seven months and I ended up with someone name Silvana. She did absolutely nothing to help me. I paid top dollar to have her not even show up on the day of. When I requested that we meet up before hand, her response was don’t worry we do not need to. The resort messed up on my parents room and gave it to my aunt, so my aunt got the welcome gift I sent to my parents and there was no longer a surprise. My room was guarenteed to be checked in my 1pm at the latest and I was not able to check in till 4pm. Brides and people looking to use this event, look elsewhere. I called the coordinators director Roxanna asking for help and she told me that«it’s not that big of a deal and that there is a lot of turn over in the wedding coordinator industry» Like that was supposed to make me feel better. Also, the cherry on the cake was for my rehearsal walkthrough, she booked it at a different location than my actual ceremony site. Don’t book here, it’s not worth the money. (p.s the rooms are nice and the hotel is cool to stay at but the coordination is awful).

I feel bad that there are so many negative reviews about Paradise Point. We checked in and the front desk staff was super nice. Got to our room which was booked through and it’s perfect. Granted the walls may need a paint job, but hey, so do the walls in my own house. The pool is super kid friendly, the grounds are beautiful and the view can’t be beat. Eventually they will upgrade and then the rates will be astronomical so be careful what you wish for. My only complaint is the bathrooms are kinda dingy and the walls are thin. I don’t get what all the negative nonsense is about!

Christin and Ralen made this whole experience worth a 5-star review. I booked through Hotel Tonight and from the get-go Christin provided me with exceptional service. Ralen was very accommodating and went above and beyond to be sure I was taken care of. BUT… The«resort» itself is not worth more than MAYBE2 stars. It’s basically a Motel 6 by the water before Motel 6 made upgrades.

This review is for the Conference Center. My event is still going on. Everything has been so flawless that I couldn’t wait to sing their praises. The entire staff here at Paradise Point has been exceptional. From our Catering Sales Manager Amy Mihok, to the A/V people Sara and Kevin, to our outstanding banquet team. They have all been extremely accommodating, timely, efficient, and very friendly. Amy has made my process as the event coordinator feel so easy. I knew that I could count on her from the first meeting. I cannot say enough great things about her. She is top notch. Even the Event Sales Coordinator for Tidal Restaurant has been amazing. All in all, between the property, the amazing staff, the food, and everything in between, I will absolutely recommend clients to Paradise Point in the future. Thank you so much Amy and the entire team at Paradise Point for making my job so easy.

It’s horrendous that I have to even give this place 1 star but it’s the only way I could leave a review. DONOTSTAYHERE. I am unfortunately stuck here for 2 nights but as its for a conference I’ll suck it up. The resort itself is dirty. The pools look disgusting. Worst of all, they’ll charge you underhandedly a ‘mandatory resort fee of $ 29 per night ’ to ‘ENJOY’ their ‘resort fee’ on top of an additional $ 37 per night parking fee for one of the few ways of navigating to this hell hole. If it’s a mandatory fee, why on earth would you not just add this to the over priced room. San Diego is a beautiful awesome place. I love it to pieces. It’s places like this that make me not want to return !! Ur management ought to be ashamed of the impression you leave with unsuspecting tourist to this beautiful city !! Oh and they’ll tell you that they have no control over how third party websites sell their services. Well I’m sorry, if I appointed a third party organization to sell my services, u bet ur ass I’d know how they represent me to the buying public. Lame excuses, lame rooms, lame place. Spend your money elsewhere !!

Disappointing. This resort has so much potential. It just desperately needs updating across the board and some TLC on a daily basis. The ducks, seagulls and other flying creatures make it fun to walk the grounds. You just have to be careful where you walk. And swim. Yes, the ducks use the pools too and this is sometimes reflected by gifts that sink to the bottom. I finally remembered a bathing suit on a trip to San Diego, but there’s no way I was swimming with that. My(first) room was just awful. First, it was filthy. The dust and cobwebs on the track lighting above the head of the bed was atrocious. The floors were dirty. More cobwebs in the bathroom. And everything is painted yellow, including the dressing and makeup areas. Good luck having any clue how you actually look before heading out. After a night’s sleep that can only be described as painful at best, I asked the desk staff to clean the lights and fix the detached toilet seat. Night two, not only were the lights not cleaned, my room was never serviced, although the toilet seat no longer went sliding across the bowl. But it was much warmer the second night, so I made the mistake of turning on the wall air conditioning unit.(No central a/c for this dinosaur.) Do you know the sound of a wind storm gusting? Yeah. That was how the a/c sounded constantly. After the second night’s «sleep» of pain and noise, I asked for a new room. «Absolutely! I’ll upgrade you to a room I have available with a bay view.» Lovely. And while the view was beautiful, and the a/c was no longer«gusting», the bed was equally painful and the floors just as dirty. This room had the added attraction of curtains embellished by Wolverine. Let’s see. What have I left out? Despite the ginormous resort fee, it’s an extra $ 15 to use the spa sauna or steam room without a spa appointment(which are ridiculously expensive.) So, why 2 stars and not 1? Because the staff do seem to try. The restaurants on property were good. And there’s more hot tubs than you can imagine. I’d never stay here again voluntarily until they have an overall update except that unfortunately I have an event here in four weeks. After five straight painful nights, I’m contemplating shipping a mattress topper ahead for that trip. For the price, there’s much better accommodations in the San Diego area. You’ve been warned.

Very bad first impression. After driving 9 hours, we check into our room to find it has an ant problem, the bathroom sink drain is very slow(seriously housekeeping — how did you not notice this??), there aren’t any other available rooms we can move to(we asked), and the maintenance person has already gone home for the night so we’re stuck with the slow drain and ants. No thanks, looking for a new hotel now…

Sooo my husband and I love taking short trips for small getaways… Being that we live in San Diego and heard the RAVE about this«Resort» we decided to give it a try! This«resort» more like a «rented apartment» since you have to call house keeping if you want your room cleaned is only good for being convenient to the beach! The«resort», as they call it, has several pools, which are located in several areas but very small. The«ADULTPOOL» is about 12′ x 12′ and features nothing. I don’t know why they call it an adult pool when it’s just segregated from all other pools but no special highlights! The«main pool» has a bar/restaurant they feature on their website as their Baja cantina with authentic Mexican food… Only to come to find out it’s only open during the summer?! Ok?! So why have it? If anything there should be a bar at the«adult pool» right?! BUTNO! Another downfall… There are NOPLANNEDACTIVITIES… Which a TRUERESORT has to offer such as «live bands, classes, etc»! Another downfall… You have to walk far to get to anything! The 2 restaurants they have, supposedly there’s 5 or more, are located inconveniently in the back of the resort… So if you’re elderly I recommend staying closer to that area. Another downfall… The facilities itself is sub-par. It’s not up-kept very well for a «RESORT» and for the $ 30 resort fee you pay a day it’s not worth it! Lastly, the ONLYGOODTHINGABOUTTHIS«RESORT» is that you can WALKFAR and rent boats, jet skis, kayaks, and the service over there is Good! If you want«RESORT» QUALITY check out Temecula Resorts!!! Much better experience!

This was a honeymoon trip, one my husband was so eager to take because of how beautiful this place looked. The island is indeed beautiful, but that in no way makes up for all the failures this resort has managed to check off. Where to start? How about I begin with the tile flooring throughout that, as I found out on the third day and I highly and terribly suspected, they only Sweep. Tile floors. Swept. It’s an island… did I mention that part? Where sand is ever present? Watched as the house keeping only swept, no vacuuming and Certainly No mopping in any form or fashion. This means the floor never really gets cleaned, you will Always manage to have sand in your bed, no matter what you do. The shower… ah, Lord. Faucet coming away from the wall, lower pressure from all-sink included, with temperatures in the bath only capable of the, «And hell is hot!» range to constantly tepid in the sink(you’ll want to let it run on hot for about 3 minutes before it gets warm to hot, I often just walked away until it was ready). To make your shower work be prepared to have a confusing relationship with the piece you pull, as you both try and gently work it with great finesse to avoid further injury to the disconnected faucet from wall, to pulling hard and twisting like a bully with no sense of reason until it gives to your will. After it is working as you please, you must say a prayer it simply remains where you finagled it to. The worst part of this place: the bed. What is meant to be your Heavenly haven after a long day of exploring-which is 99% walking in California-turns out to be a box. A box that in no shape or form gives to your figure, but instead repels and defeats any hopes for a comfortable and peaceful rest. You will need a chiropractor for spinal adjustment and massage to try and correct the damage that will be incurred from this torture device. Matched with small, substandard pillows leaves you wanting to sleep on the couch but, your fear of not knowing the last time That was properly cleaned will keep you from hopes’ minuscule sliver as well. When the housekeeper asks, as you leave your room, if you want the sheets changed, you too will begin to fear when indeed the last time the sheets were changed. Finally, the restaurants on the island. My God, we ate at McDonalds and had better breakfasts and lunches. Overpriced to the max and subpar flavor of the burgers was found at Barefoot Bar and Grille, I have a review for them. The Caveman Pizza was apparently good, price was fair on that, but as with the bar snd grille the wait was unfortunately substantial. Tidal, couldn’t eat there. Went, sat, reviewed the list, left. Overwhelming smell of seafood-which I expect some smell at any seafood restaurant-was concerning at the strength of odor. Oh, putt-putt was not really putt-putt, rather a waste of money.

My husband was set on this resort. I myself was hesitant as I had seen a couple negative reviews. However I gave into my husband’s wishes and booked Valentines weekend/our eighth wedding anniversary here upon arrival I was in awe of the manicured grounds. Upon check-in we were greeted but the most friendly girl. It felt like we were visiting friends. We were told that they had up graded our room for our anniversary at no extra charge. We arrived at our bayside view king suite we were both mesmerized. The room was large with many amenities and the beach at our doorstep. I can’t say enough good things about this resort I could go on and on. I am glad I didn’t listen to the other reviews we will definitely be returning to Paradise point as this is our new special place

So I came here on a work function and loved the stay. The rooms are huge and there is plenty space to stretch out and get ready for a night out. Their bathroom features a floor to ceiling mirror and there is great lighting to get ready. Only odd thing was our parking space was a couple hotel rooms down, when almost all the rest of the rooms had a parking spot right next to the room. No biggie just thought it was odd. The pools are actually heated!!! So much so steam was rising off the pool. Perfect to dip your tootsies in.

We got married in April but planned to honeymoon in December, so picking a hotel for the weekend to enjoy our wedding bliss was important. Paradise Point Resort was an easy choice. We had a lovely bay-side room with a view, a nice big tub, and a great bottle of champagne awaiting us after the wedding party was over. Although it wasn’t warm enough to swim and enjoy the lovely pool that weekend, we had all of our out of town friends join us for an afternoon of cocktails and laughs at the Barefoot Bar & Grill. It was a perfect way to enjoy our first weekend of marriage. With each other, and our dearest friends, at Paradise Point Resort.

We decided to have a stay-cation night and being from San Diego I still felt like I was transported to a vacation island. The Paradise Point grounds had a Island laid back vibe. They have their own little village filled with gold carts and bikes, a miniature golf course with real grass(much harder the reg mini golf), a restaurant/lounge, a beautiful banquet hall and a little pier. Our single King bed room was priced fair. The actual building was a bit dated with white painted brink but they had done they best to keep the inside looking fresh with a new coat of paint and modern/Island décor. The bed was a bit firm and had hard springs but it looked nice. The best part was the back patio. Our room opened right up to a small patio, perfectly manicured lawn that encircled a man mad pond. Being so close the bay we saw some birds stop by and have a rest at our personal tiny paradise.

This place is a money trap! The website makes it look so nice but don’t be fooled. I booked the«premium» lanai garden room which had a picture of a pond near the porch however the room I got had no pond behind it. Just a dingy yellowing grass area located right by the entrance near the busy road. I looked online to see what«premium» entails and it said either a wet bar, walk in closet, or water view. My room had none of these. It did say premium on the plaque though. The room was smallish. There was a couch that had white stains on it. I’m hoping that’s food or baby spit up. The drapes had brown stains on them too. Floor was dirty. My toddler took off her shoes and ran around. Within 10 minutes her feet were black. There was a tiny fridge big enough for a few drinks. No microwave. I thought a decent mini fridge and microwave was normal accommodations but not in this premium room. I have had better rooms at the best western! The cable or satellite signal was choppy. Couldn’t watch the tv at all because it kept breaking up. The king size bed seemed small which I have a king at home and it was definitely smaller than mine. It was a cheap spring mattress that was uncomfortable. I will say at least the linens were decent. I have had better but they weren’t the worst. Pillow was firm which I like. It’s off season so there was a lot of vacancies. I could see empty parking spaces around me but for some reason they filled the two rooms right near me. One was a couple of smokers When I opened the door I could smell it and they threw their cigarette butts all around their porch area where my toddler wandered over and was picking them up. Gross! When booking the room warned about the $ 27 a night«resort fee» but didn’t say anything about the $ 35 a night fee to park my car! With the other«incidentals» this came to $ 65 a night in fees! $ 130 for both nights. Keep that in mind when you book. Ridiculous. I REALLY wish I stayed at a nicer place for the amount I spent on this run down, dirty, hovel. To top it off, I had made two separate reservations. The staff didn’t know how to deal with this. When I checked in the girl said call her with the confirmation number. I called the front desk and they transferred me to reservations. I called back then she said she’d have some call me back. I told her I was putting my kids to bed and not to call back. She said I could sort it out in the morning. About half an hour later they called back and woke my kids up and it was impossible to get them back down. I really expected better for this amount of money. This trip was a Christmas present for my family and it was not very nice. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There’s better resorts in San Diego. Better hotels with nicer accommodations for less even. Without hidden charges. $ 35 to park my car?!? While I’m staying at your nasty resort?! That’s some audacity.

«Welcome to Paradise!!» — Lady at the front check in desk My fiancé and I booked a last minute vacation to San Diego for Labor Day and chose this beautiful resort as our oasis… and I’m so glad we did! From the moment I entered the resort — I felt like I was officially on vacation. bike/Segway/boat rentals, great restaurants and friendly people! Here were the main takeaways: PRO’s: — Full & lush palm tress, beautiful flowers and tons of vegetation! — Hidden bungalows throughout — ours was located close to the beach and perfect for us 2! — Private beaches surround the island and make for a great sunset walk and an ENGAGMENT! :) yippee! — Fun coastal restaurants — with good food and great service — Location is great! close to everything and right across from SeaWorld! — People are so nice and friendly! CON’s: — Fee’s out the bum! $ 38/day to park with a $ 27 daily resort fee too! — Kiddo’s galore. While I understand it’s a great place for families, I was hoping more adults would be present and less babies! I would DEF come back… and maybe for my honeymoon! :)

So I have always wanted to check this place out so I went to their website and it looked fantastic. So finally this past weekend I went to see if I could just get a day pass to lounge around. As you drive in there are lots of trees which is nice because it feels like you’re in a tropical forest. I read some reviews that were saying that they charge 35 bucks to park but I think that’s if you book a room. I parked on the side of the street so that was free then I walked toward the front lobby passing by their golf course. I walked passed a little gift shop where they had Monster energy drinks for 5 bucks!!! I then passed their spa which seemed pretty slow but I was going to the pool. As people were going in I just walked in with them and acted like I knew what I was doing. I hung out at the pool for a while but there were tons of small kids and some had pampers on wtf??? They also had a jacuzzi that could fit about 4 people which I thought was ridiculous for the size of this resort. I walked around the resort to find the beach but on the way I came across the pond which was pretty big but was disgusting. In one area the pond was over flowing onto the sidewalk and the pond didn’t have any type of railing for kids. I didn’t think that was too safe so hopefully parents won’t bring their kids to the pond. Also there were cobwebs all over the place and it looked like it had been there for months. It just seems like they don’t care about how the resort looks. I found the beach and it was very nice and cool because the rooms were right on the beach. The prices for the rooms are outrageous but because of the view I see why they charge so much. Anyway I never did get the day pass and I’m glad I didn’t this is suppose to be Paradise Point more like Paradise Disappoint. I walked in the front lobby and it smelled like mildew or something. Well I’m glad I came here but I’m done peace out.
