DONOTGIVETHISLOCATIONBUSINESS! This Papa John’s is AWFUL! I ordered a pizza at 6pm online, called at 7:30 and asked what was the deal with the wait, the manager Bobby tells me the driver tried to call(I never received a call) and that since the order had been done through the Internet he could only remake the order and send it again. After waiting another 45 minutes on a «rushed order» according to manager Bobby, the driver calls and I meet him at our gate. The driver insists that the order is cash even though I had already paid online, after looking at me with a confused, slack-jawed stare, he calls manager Bobby(GREAT!) who tells him the last order had been cancelled and now needs the card to run the order(Manager Bobby did not mention anything about this in our prior conversation). I gave up and sent the pizza back. I would rather go out of my way to the store on University for carry out than to EVER give this location business again. Bobby is unprofessional, the staff is unhelpful, and the fact that they have nothing to say about their lack of professionalism or standards is heinous.

Don’t use your GROUPON here. I got no explanation on why I can’t use it here beside my manager says we don’t accept it. No where on the Groupon states that it only works in certain locations. Very bad communication for this company.

My husband and I love Papa Johns pizza. We sometimes go pick up our order instead of having it delivered. This night I decided to order for pick-up on the Papa Johns app. I decided to pay when we picked up the pizza. Once my husband and I arrived, we got looks from the employees, we didn’t get a «Hello, or «Welcome to Papa Johns.» We were the only customers there. My husband and I waited there for someone to help us. About 5 minutes passed and still, nobody greeted us or said they would be with us in a moment. To top it off, the manager was there helping the workers make boxes, and still she did not greet us, or try to help us. My husband and I walked out and decided to take our business else where and got burritos! I understand they were having a busy night, but at least they could have been courteous. Since that day, we have not ordered from Papa Johns. If we do in the future, it will DEFINITELY not be from this location.

This was my first time ordering from here and what a terrible experience. Two hours to get my pizza delivered? On top of that my pizza was cold as if they made it at the time I placed my order but just forgot to deliver. I had to call an hour after placing my order to «remind» them to deliver.

Pretty disappointed, I’ll be honest. After some bad service from nearby pizza places, I decided to give Papa Johns a try. I placed an order a little before eight. When you pay with card, you only have the option to tip your delivery person while ordering, which seems pretty ridiculous. The point of a tip is if they were on time and polite, so why would you tip before even finishing the order? I know that this isn’t something that this location has control over though, so I won’t fault them for it though it bothers me. I ordered a large cheese pizza, garlic knots, and a pepsi. Over an hour later I called up the restaurant wondering where my pizza was. After waiting through a ridiculously long automated advertisement, I spoke to a team member who then passed me on to the manager. Apparently my pizza order was«complete». How funny. After a bit of prompting on my part(and me assuring him that I did not, in fact, have my pizza) he said that he would call the driver and hung up. He didn’t call back. The driver got to my house a couple minutes late with luke warm food. I live right down the street. I know that delivery guys/gals take multiple orders at once, but it took over an hour for me to get my pizza and, as I was told by the manager, it was made and taken from the store at 8:30. Will likely not be ordering from this location again. Hopefully in the future orders will only be marked complete when the pizza is in the customers hands.

I usually like papa johns but this store messed everything up! first they cut my pizza wrong, then it took them an hour to deliver my pizza when I live 5 minutes away, and if that wasn’t bad enough my pizza was cold and gross. I’ll stick to dominos for now on.

So I’ve been coming to this papajohns for about 3 months now. It is now my go to pizza place. The hubby likes costco pizza but who doesnt. But I’m a sucker for this garlic sauce! & anyways I’ve never had an issue ordering carryout online or over the phone. So today I order online and call before I leave to see if my order is ready. The chick on the phone was sooooooooo blah. Like bland no type of energy and then rude when I asked her to check my order. So I went in and Tim helped me out. He’s the GM and he’s helped me before, super duper friendly. So I told him about his employee. Because hey I work in the dental field and we need feedback to fix issues if any arise. He was so apologetic and even comped my order. Guess it was a known issue that they’re working on. Sorry to the employee cuz she probably got warned for it, but it’s things like that that makes me not wanna return but for that reason of Tim taking care of me and apologizing is a reason I’ll be back. Thanks Tim for caring about your customers!!!

Thursday, May 7, 2015, early evening, Ordered a pepperoni pizza from this place online. Delivery arrived on time, I signed the ticket and gave a generous tip. After pizza boy leaves I open the box and see only a cheese pizza. I look at the ticket and it says cheese pizza. Somewhere during the ordering process a mistake was made. I intended to order a pepperoni pizza but when the order was processed it was processed as a cheese pizza. I drive over to Papa John’s and I explained the problem to the manager and she was so adamant about me ordering another pizza and getting 25% off the new pizza. What the !#*%, I’m not satisfied with my order and you are asking me to order another pizza and pay for the new one just to correct my order? Let’s try to process the managers request for me to order another pizza to correct my dissatisfaction with my current pizza. At a sit down restaurant when you are not satisfied with your dish the waiter takes it back and brings back another dish to the customer’s satisfaction. At papa johns, well if you don’t like it you will have to buy another pizza. Manager tells me it would cost too much to replace my cheese pizza with a pepperoni pizza. I’ve delivered pizza before in my college days and whenever a customer was not satisfied with their order, I was always sent back to the customer’s house with a new pizza. I can tell you I definitely was not working for Papa Johns back then. I was working for Pizza Hut. This place has a low rating and I experienced what you would expect from an establishment with a low rating. I felt like I was in the ghetto when I walked in. The staff here talked to me in a patronizing condescending manner without even getting to know me or allow me to explain my situation yet. This place is not a clean or pleasant environment. It looked dirty behind the counter and the gentlemen behind the counter was not properly groomed yet he works with food. His manager didn’t seem to care about having an employee who is not properly groomed handling food for customers. In the end I left my cheese pizza on the counter and told them I don’t ever want to do business with Papa John’s ever again.

Aug 25, 2015. I ordered a $ 5 pizza. A woman took my order. Fast service. This time pizza did not taste as good as the last time I ordered it! I gave it 3 stars because the woman who took my order did not wash her hands with soap and water before touching the dough and ingredients with her hands. From cash register, she used a little hand sanitizer and immediately wiped her hand with paper towel, then she touched the dough and ingredients. Yikes. Why is it so hard for the staff to wash their hands with soap and water? If I was a restaurant inspector, this hand sanitizing will not pass and I’d give this restaurant a «B» category.

I messed up on my online order. I called to see if I can fix it, they we’re amazing at making this customer happy. They even came back to my place to without even being asked. Beat my expectations. Last night I ordered the thin crust and it was pretty terrible. The crust was burned and the pizza was so dry. I also ordered the brownies and they were also burned on the bottom and the edges. I’m pretty disappointed in the money I spent and the quality I didn’t get. Whenever I order pizza, it’s usually from here, but this order and the one before were both like this. The quality and flavor seem to be hit or miss and it’s not as if this pizza is cheaper than their competitors as an explanation. It might be time to satisfy my pizza needs elsewhere.

I had tried to use my coupon deal for a free pizza that I had received a couple weeks back. Your online site was not working!!! I called the store and they said there was nothing they could do since it was on the papa rewards. The free pizza coupon expired without use since I was unable to process the order online. This is not the only time I have had problems with the papa points or being able to process an order online. I had attempted that order at least 8 times that evening

I’m impressed by their customer service! They missed an item on my pizza and when I noticed and asked they gave it to me for free! I offered to pay for it and just take the extra charge off, but the manager insisted it was on the how because it was their mistake. Talk about taking care of your customers! :) thank you!

This review is for delivery and the foodies we ordered. I placed an order online for a medium pizza, chocolate chip cookie and a 2 liter soda. I placed the order and was waiting for the confirmation email. It was about 20 minutes and still no confirmation email. I was about to call, but we had a call from the front door saying our pizza was there. Our driver’s name was Matt. He was super nice and friendly. Which was really nice especially considering the pouring rain he had to drive through. I wish all drivers could be as nice. My boyfriend and I dug into the food. The cookie was warm, pizza was hot and the soda was cold. The food was pretty good and not disappointing at all. I would order from here again! We also ended up getting our confirmation email, but it was after Matt, our driver, left. So that was the only downside. Overall, we would order from this location again!

I’ve been here a couple of times, and it’s your typical Papa John’s experience. The employees are better at making pizza than exhibiting customer service. The food takes like it should. Their time estimates are accurate. Etcetera, etcetera. I’ll be back.

Ordered a pizza for delivery at 1pm. Unfortunately they arrived early and made really no attempt to get us to the door except for a phone call. I have an obnoxiously loud doorbell as well as a dog that goes crazy if anyone comes up to the door. Giving 2 stars because I’m not going to bother calling to see if they will make it right. I don’t trust minimum wage workers that don’t make a real attempt to deliver food to not mess with my food if I complain otherwise it would either be 3 stars or one star.

I have come in to papa johns a couple of times and it’s usually ok. But tonight I was shocked at the lack of customer service by the general manager Russ white. He was acting as though I was an inconvenience to him. And as I started to place my order he walks off without even saying excuse me. When he gave me the total. I know I miss understood him and I gave him the money short the $.70. He was rude and gruffy about it. I asked him if he had a bad day. He just said it was busy. I can understand. But if a customer at least comments on a manager with an attitude you think he would at least apologies. I hate writing bad reviews. I prefer building up than being down

It’s pizza… what do you expect. It’s like sex, even when it’s bad it’s good. Lucky Papa John’s is better than that. Get your pie, maybe some hot wings, 2 liter bottle of soda… life is good. You move on, you’re home in time to watch the late movie. BTW… the especially lazy all agree… order online. Earn enough points to get a free pie! Reason enough you lazy bastard.

I order from these guys more often than I’d like to admit, but part of the reason is because I’ve never had a bad experience. When I get home late from work and don’t have time to feed my boys and/or am on a budget, this is who we turn to. I order online, 15 – 25 minutes later our pizza is ready and paid for. I literally just pick it up and go. It beats the other ‘Hot & Ready’ place. You order, pick up, eat and move on with your life. And, there’s also the perks that come with signing up and the whole Padres deal they’ve got going on is pretty sweet.
