love the breadsticks and ceasar salad. Great family food place that’s quick and yummy.

This is the first time that I have been here in years. Literally YEARS. The customer Service was phenomenal. The lady at the cash register was very kind and quick to greet us. She also have very good input about the different meal types and finally convinced us to get the dinner for two with pasta, breadsticks, and salad. The food was pretty quickly serviced and the food was mediocre. It was bland. The only exceptional thing that we received was the breadsticks. I don’t know if this would be a place to come to if you are craving real Italian food because it is an Americanized dish; no flavor, nothing special to look at. I liked the people and the surrounding stores but the food was alright.

Don’t order take out. They blew my order, forgot to make half of it. Came in the 15 minutes they said on the phone, waited anther 20 minutes after I got there before my food was ready. And NOAPOLOGY! I will never go back under any circumstances.

This has long been my family’s favorite restaurant since my sister worked at the original Oscar’s and the chain and its owners evolved since there. I am so confused now if this chain is the big corporation that took over or the original owners who banded together and defected but bottom line, with their diminishing numbers, if we see one we stop out of loyalty, out of long-lost favorite flavored imprinted on our memories. We weren’t even in this strip mall to eat but my child started screeching«Oooooooo! There’s an O’s!» So when we finished what we were there to do the kids beelined for the front door. We immediately dove into the hot, buttery breadsticks. They have a firm but thin crust with buttery garlic spread all over permeating every bite. They are so springy and soft on the inside. Each delicious mouthful was amazing. We ignored the rest of their new offerings — although I am sure that they are all tasty. One thing about this restaurant is they always made things you can find at other restaurants but somehow they do it at least two levels above everyone else in freshness, flavored and quantity. We chose to go with the lemon chicken salad which is enough to feed me for days(my kids don’t love salad). Always great quality chicken strips on top and the flavorful spectrum of flavors in the salad. Unfortunately we are not usually in this corner of San Diego though O’s is strong enough to pull us in.

I’ve been here a few times, as it’s one of my boyfriends favorite places and it’s right next door to the large Edwards Theatre, so we will stop by for a bite to eat before catching a movie. Just a few things to note: –They have a large tented patio that is great for parties. –Their breadsticks are to die for(don’t forget to order a side of their marinara sauce for dipping) –Their potato wedges are delicious. Their large size is HUGE, so if it’s just two people, go for the small. I made that mistake before. –They have a lot of options, both for meat eaters and non meat eaters. –Food comes out pretty quickly, but if you’re in a rush then call in the order beforehand just to be safe My boyfriend is a huge fan of their chicken. Lots of good sauces on the side. Big space and lots of parking!

This place was TERRIBLE. It was like overpriced school cafeteria food. We will never go back here again. The only redeeming thing was the potato wedges were crispy. We tried the ribs, the hot wings which were soggy and had barely any sauce and an individual pizza. Every single item was mediocre at best.

My family held my grandfather’s 80th birthday party at O’s American Kitchen yesterday. We made a special request weeks before to reserve a section in the outdoor seating area. We had a party of 15, who made several varying requests, and left a huge mess. The staff was friendly, prompt and went out of their way to accommodate our every request. Thank you, Noelle and Tyler and all the O’s Kitchen staff, for helping make my grandfather’s birthday one that we’ll never forget.

For the family of 4 size meal, it’s a good bargain and food portion is great as well. The service is friendly and you can get unlimited hot bread when you done in. I look forward to another visit here soon.

Everything was delicious! I’ve been here two times with my department & I love that it’s family side portions. I can have a little of everything & everything was bomb! Highly recommend for big parties

O’s is good for when you have a large group and don’t know where to go and can’t decide what everyone wants to eat. you can order in bulk easily since the menu has a section for decided what to order in the chance that you have 20 – 25 people in your party. its really helpful. its right next to edwards theatre so before or after your group eats, you can catch a movie. the service is always good. and the food comes out quickly. the breadsticks are also better than i expect. one thing to note is that the food is not very good. it is average at best. their pizza is comparable to chuck e cheese pizza and their pasta is just store bought sauces on top of noodles. WHICHISFINE. for the price you are paying, it is good for what it is. also, the staff is very nice so you can move the tables around for your big party. and the to-go boxes are by the counter so you can get it yourself to bring food home.

There are times when a meal here is cooked with great experience. This place is so amazing. Love it!

I can’t possibly imagine a circumstance where I would consider returning to O’s American Kitchen. I remember the glory days of «Oscar’s» and then«Pat and Oscar’s.» Then came O’s American Kitchen. The glory days are over. I went here with my fiancé before a movie on 10÷16÷15. We ordered a small lemon chicken salad, a small cobb salad, and an individual size order of the potato wedges. My fiancé kindly asked the cashier if she could substitute the chicken tenders in he cobb salad with grilled chicken, since we usually try to stay away from things like fried chicken. The cashier responded by telling us they only have fried chicken. We both thought this was a bit strange considering the lemon chicken is not fried. My fiancé then decided just to forego the chicken. We initially found a booth to sit in, but then decided against it considering it was covered in filth. We eventually found another booth to sit in. After about 20 minutes, we started wondering where the heck our food was. Then again, it must take a long time putting lettuce into bowls. We finally received our salads and potato wedges. Let’s start with the lemon chicken salad. I would argue this dish should be more appropriately described as a beet salad with 4 small pieces of over-marinated chicken. I’m not exaggerating about the beets either. A few beets here or there wouldn’t have been so bad. At least 1⁄3 of my salad was beets. The salad was horrible. I could’ve made something better myself for $ 3 at Vons and it would’ve been done in about 2 minutes. I didn’t even finish my salad, and at that point, I was starving. I would be embarrassed to serve such an atrocity of a dish if I owned this establishment. Next up is the cobb salad. We were confused why my lemon chicken salad came with dressing, but the cobb salad did not. Whatever, it wasn’t too much of a hassle getting up, navigating through all of the other patrons, and finding the salad dressing. The cobb salad would’ve been edible had it not been for the raw, uncooked bacon bits in the salad. Not even the most liberal application of salad dressing could disguise the horror that was this cobb salad. Ok, so we’ve established the lemon chicken salad and the cobb salad were big swings and misses. How hard could it be to mess up potato wedges? Pretty easy apparently. The potato wedges, although quite plentiful, were soggy and an insult to my taste buds. I’m pretty sure by this point, my taste buds were contemplating suicide. Not in a subtle, «I’m going to down these sleeping pills» kind of way, but more so in a «I’m going to blow my brains out in this restaurant in front of everyone» kind of way. On top of being soggy, the potato wedges had no flavor whatsoever. Not even ketchup could fix this abomination of potatoes. I hope this review serves as a warning for any other people out there who think«Hey, let’s just go to O’s American Kitchen before we catch our movie. The wait time is better than Island’s!» Don’t make the same mistake we did.

Stopped in after a movie in MM. It took me a minute to realize this was the old Pat and Oscars. Very open and white. Busy but we ordered and got served fairly quickly. They bring you your food and you can get your own drinks. Their famous breadsticks are still a part of their appeal. The BBq Chicken was pretty good. Messy but good. My son enjoyed his Mac and Cheese too.

This is a fast and convenient place to go before a movie nearby, and it is very family-friendly. Very casual, and easy. You get your own silverware, doggy-bag materials, drinks, etc., and order at the counter. They bring the food to your table. The staff that delivers to your table is always very friendly and helpful, but are limited in what they do for you.(They do bring me extra olives for my Greek Salad upon request!) The food is mediocre, except that I like the Lemon-Pepper Wings, and their version(not authentic, but tasty) of a Greek Salad. I’m not one to eat breadsticks, which seem to come with everything. If I stick to those wings and the Greek Salad, I’m fine, but I wish there were a restaurant in this part of the mall that excited me!

I use to come here 10 years ago when they use to be pat and oscars! This was the spot to go to when I was in middle school. I finally came back and they have changed but they still have their famous breadsticks! The setup has not changed, you still get your own silverware and ketchup yourself. I like how os kitchen has Mac and cheese, very delicious. I recommend coming here if your going to watch a movie at the movie theater.

Great location right next to Edwards Cinema. This place is great for large parties. My best friend had his baby gender reveal here, on their outside patio. They have heaters available and cover in case of inclement weather. Their food is delicious, starting with their breadsticks. I’m not a big breadsticks fan, as I’d rather not fill up on just bread, but their breadsticks are buttery and soft, probably the best in town. They have good pizza selections and you’re free to perfect it with your own seasonings; salt, pepper, parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes. I particularly like their baby back ribs and barbecue chicken plates. Both are tender and full flavor without drowning in sauce. If you’re a salad person, you’ll find decent salads here. I really like their potato wedges. I usually order the wedges, season them with salt, pepper, parmesan cheese, and red pepper flakes and stuff them in my girlfriend’s purse to snack on as we watch a movie. They go great with ranch, which you can get to-go for free.

This is a really cute casual Italian/American restaurant in Mira Mesa. They offer pizza options, salads and pasta entrees. The best part of this place: The Breadsticks. I just love soft, buttery breadsticks! They come with any entrée you order. You order at the front and take a number, where they bring your food to your table. Pizza was just ok, but the size was really commendable.

O’s is a local chain that is clearly trying to make«fetch» happen. They just keep rebranding themselves, ostensibly looking for the spark that will transform the company into more than a regional also-ran in the fast casual market. Lacking signature items such as a refillable pasta bowl or absurdly huge burgers, O’s really leans hard on their breadsticks to get people in the door. While I appreciate being given free breadsticks while standing in line, the sticks are a bit on the oily and doughy side, and not too differentiable from Olive Garden’s. Upon arriving at the front counter to place one’s order, one definitely feels the lack of menu standouts as one grapples with the question, do I really want any of this? But having already tasted the mythical pomegranate that is the breadstick, one is stuck. So one visually fumbles through the menu before finding something that kind of looks okay. For me that thing was the garlic chicken and mushroom pizza. That turned out to be a poor decision. What the menu calls a «roasted garlic cream sauce,» turned out to be reminiscent of a creamy salad dressing. Now I like cream as much as the next guy, but the dressing-esque sauce combined with the cheese made for a gooey, creamy mess. Summary: This big O gives too much cream.

I love this place! This location is probably not my favorite, but it’s close to the movie theater so it’s convenient. Came here this Saturday night and it was packed, a team of basketball players was having a team dinner, but there were still plenty of seats outside. Definitely a little noisy inside, but that was just because it was during peak hours. Our cashier was not the friendliest, but got us what we wanted… We ordered lemon chicken, salad, and a couple breadsticks. We weren’t sure the best way to order all those items(the combos are a little confusing), and she made us feel remotely stupid for not ordering them in the right combination. But the food here is one of my favorites, definitely can’t go wrong with some breadsticks and a greek salad! I also love that they have bottles of the non-fat dressing(which tastes just as good as the regular!).

Setting : Long walk way entrance to the registers. They offer menus on the side and on the walls so you can decide what you want before you order or while waiting in line. Bright and clean. I think it’s very convenient how they have a section for condiments, a section for utensils and even a section of to-go boxes. Everything is «grab on your own» basis and not having to ask somebody. Tons of tables and chairs indoor and outdoor. Definitely great for parties and kids. Food: Twice Baked Chicken & Brocolli Pasta $ 10.99 I chose Garlic Grean Beans as my side and also served with two breadsticks. This dish came out sizzling hot on a clay plate which made it look pretty fancy. The cheese was melted, crispy on the outside and goey on the inside. Chunks of tender chicken and brocolli. The sauce was not watery, but more creamy and baked. It was quite delicious. But the green beans were not as garlicky as I was expecting. They could use more flavor but at least you can tell that they were fresh cut green beans. Not much of a fan of the garlic bread either, too thick for my taste. Chicken and Ribs Dinner $ 11 Served with side of potato wedges, mac &cheese and garlic bread. Chicken tasted like rotisserie chicken. Unfortunately the chicken pieces looked like anorexic or midget chicken cause they were so small and skinny. Even the ribs were small. There was about 4 pieces. The meat came off he bone easily, had lots of bbq flavoring but was dryer than what I would like. Mac & cheese was a very thick and creamy cheesy sauce. It is nice that they have other options such as soups, salads and sandwiches but I was looking more forward to more pasta options but this place only meets the bare minimal expectations which is probably why their menu never seemed appealing to me in the first place after they changed their name to O’s American kitchen from Pat & Oscars.
