Customer Service is pathetic. Owner disrespects employees in front of customers — very uncomfortable. Food is OK. The only reason why this place is still on business is because its convenient for offices near by. No other choice.

Not being a big breakfast person, I went out on a limb and ordered the sausage breakfast croissant. You definitely get enough to eat in this one. Perfect amount of egg/sausage/cheese and the baked croissant was fresh, light, buttery and flakey. It’s my new breakfast spot!

This place is awful. I’ve eaten here several times and every time I have regretted it. In addition to my dislike for their lousy sandwiches, a friend of mine ordered a wrap from them and found two moldy spots on it. There are so many places in the area with great food so I truly don’t know how this place is still in business. Two thumbs down!

great salads — I like the thai chicken and noodle salad quite a bit and they give you a good portion. also basic, good quality sandwiches. satisfying and healthy lunches for about seven bucks, probably the best day to day lunch spot in the immediate area, and there are several.

at first I wasn’t too excited about this place but I tried a few other sandwiches, i’m def a fan. they usually toast the bread/bun so the sandwiches come out great. I enjoyed the Rio Grande(roast beef) and the Grilled Italian Chicken w/Gouda very much. I also tried and loved the Italian Chicken Pesto Panini… their panini’s come out great. I will probably become a regular here because it is so close to my work.

I LOVE this family owned business. They always remember my order. Such great value for the food you get. I’ve never had a better tuna melt… In fact I didn’t know that I liked tuna melts until I tried theirs. It’s packed with delicious veggies like avocado, tomato, cucumber and sprouts. Put on a perfectly soft toasted bread and melted cheese. I also love their Thai wrap and Thai salad.

Fresh food, clean venue, fast service, decently priced AND orders are correct when you get back to the office to eat what you ordered in you don’t dine in. Can’t say that about too many deli places downtown.

I love this place!!! The tortas are the best!!! I always get mine with butter, cinnamon and honey. Their fruit bowls with cottage cheese or yogurt and a sprinkle of granola is good too. They have good salads and I really like their veggie sandwich which is named after the restaurant. And since it’s right across the street from my work its my go to breakfast place. The place is cute with all the fruit in the wall and the many different colors. And the place is clean. Staff is pretty friendly.

A hidden gem has never been so hidden. Walk through the lobby(an 80’s time machine with floor to ceiling green and black marble), past the elevators and you’ll see it on your left. Although this place has a wide assortment of fresh fruit drinks, breakfast items and salads, I go here for the sandwiches. The sandwich selection has something for everyone with the wide regular menu and weekly specials. Looking for something light, but filling and totally delish? Try the La Fresqueria sandwich! The La Fresqueria sandwich is a veggie sandwich — not normally my thing — but the fresh veggies, zesty special sauce and warm, fresh torta roll makes this a real winner. I suggest getting the torta for any sandwich you order. They are fresh baked and served warm. It’s food magic. Plus, you can’t beat the lunch prices for downtown. Don’t forget they are only open during the week!

They updated the décor, and I just love their food and people! There is a reason I’m the duchess of this place. Try the chicken pesto panini, it’s to die for!

I order food for a corporate law firm downtown. We used to use La Fresqueria as our go-to people for last minute orders. However, about 1 year and a half ago the delivery kid said that the owner had instructed him to return to our office in the afternoon to retrieve the platters and covers so that they could be reused. These items cannot be put in a dishwasher, etc. So, for sanitation purposes we immediately stopped ordering from them. However, I must say that when we did order from them they were always on time and our order was always correct. I still order breakfast burritos from them for myself – mmm tasty! Also, Lourdes has worked in the shop for a few years and she is great. She is friendly and professional. The owner is less than friendly and as a non-native English speaking person he struggles to get orders correct.(I always hope Lourdes answers when I call!) Oh, one last thing: They accept checks, but if you pay the tip with a check the owner will not give the check to the delivery person. He keeps it for himself, so always pay the tip in cash!(Told you the owner is a Mr. Meanie Pants!)

I come here for the salads, because it’s the only place that sells okay salads that don’t cost $ 12 around where I work. I also come in for the Friday sushi special. Now, it’s not the greatest sushi in the world, but $ 7 for 12 pieces is not bad for a quick lunch. What not to do here is order something off the menu, especially if it’s something hot(except for soup I assume). You will be here your whole lunch hour… waiting. Also, customer service leaves something to be desired. The owners are very friendly, but the staff is the opposite. I don’t know how to explain it other than it seems they could give a rats ass if I stand there for 30 minutes waiting for my sandwich, and not once have I seen the staff here smile. Not once. Basically, come in if you work in the area and just need to pick up something like a salad(or the ready to go sushi on Friday). Definitely not a place to go out of your way to try

SOULWRENCHINGLYAWFULCUSTOMERSERVICE! My husband called in our order at 10:30, and they hadn’t even started on making it when he got there at 12:15! Then they kept him waiting for 20 minutes before he got the food. They screwed up my order(putting on toppings that I didn’t want, and leaving off toppings that I requested). The egg salad on my sandwich was bland — the filling was eggs, mayo, a dash of black pepper and nothing else. Moreover, they put about one forkful of it on my sandwich — so I essentially paid for a sandwich, but only got lettuce on bread. I’m never eating here or ordering from here again!

I love that they have some innovative sandwiches and such an assortment of foods and plenty of veggie selections. My favorite is the Italian Chicken with Gouda. From sushi to smoothies, sandwiches and salads, there is almost always something good to eat! It helps that it is so conveniently located in my building. My only complaint is the $ 4 minimum for cards. But that wont stop me from comin back, I just end up buying more! lol

OMG their pasta salad with penne pasta, black olives, lettuce, tomato, onions and feta cheese with an Italian dressing/dill sauce is insanely addicting. My office orders this in for us for lunchtime on random occasions, at least once a week. This stuff is sooooo great. Their sandwiches are OK, nothing spectacular. I actually used to work in this building so I used to come down on a daily basis for the essential fountain diet coke and I was always a bit weirded out by the dynamic behind the counter. Everyone SEEMS friendly enough but there seems to be some underlying resentment between the owner and staff. It makes you feel a bit awkward!

i think the giant fruit tables are awesome! okay, maybe the soup tastes like it came straight from the can, but i think their sandwiches are good. it’s a good quick lunch if you’re in this part of downtown.

This is in my office building, so I’m stuck going there sometimes, but — blech. Salads are OK, sandwiches are mehhh… and the soups are awful. Straight from a can — I swear. Plus, the giant fruit and veggie motif of the place is a little scary… I always feel like I’m having an acid flashback in there. That aside, it is the closest option for a quick lunch, so they get my business probably once a month or so.
