5I was going through my reviews and was surprised I hadnt reviewed it already. this resturant is just a few blocks down the street from work. I hadnt been here in ages. The place has been remodeled since She answered my questions to my satisfaction. The order took a while to prepare than I expected but not a terrible wait and My burger and fries were hot. I had the Sourdough Bacon Ranch Combo that included small fries and small drink. The burger was a quarter pounder with bacon lettuce tomato cheese and ranch dressing. Had it came with chichen nuggets and a chocolate chip cookie it would have rivaled Burger King’s 5 for $ 4. The soda dispenser had just about any Coke product you could think of. There were a couple healthy choices. Not much of a value menu. They kept the store clean. The men’s rest room was fairly clean but in need of a touch up and urina This compleats day 18 of my 100 reviews in 100 days challenge. I’m mistill on track to reach my goal.

HORRIBLE!!! I would give 0 stars if I could! Or even negative stars. I went through the drive through shortly after 11:30 am on 3⁄18 and paid cash. I was SO excited to get my food, that I drove off right away without double checking that I got everything. Well, I an hour later I realized I NEVERGOTMYCHANGEBACK. $ 12 to be exact. I returned to the restaurant to inform management of the situation. I was kept waiting for 15 before I was told that the drawers were only over by $ 2, so I MUST have gotten my change back. The lady that took my order insisted she gave it back to me, and I was essentially called a liar and given the«hands in the air, I don’t care» response, and I was never even given my receipt back. I have NEVER had customer service that terrible! I will be contacting management as soon as my work day ends. I’ve been a loyal Jack in the Box customer for YEARS because I’ve normally had very pleasant experiences with them. Now I don’t think I will EVER be going back!

Wow. I ordered two Habanero Ultimate Cheeseburgers, because I had a 2 for $ 5 coupon. This picture that I will attach shows how small the burger is. THISISWHATPEOPLEPAY5DOLLARSFORTHEBURGERALONE??! I think they probably used day old patties as well, because the beef patties DIDN’T TASTEFRESH. This is sad, how that this specific jack in the box is the closest one to their office and yet the food quality can be so bad. I work nearby, so I come here sometimes. MANAGEMENT, get your staff to QC food good. I used to work for fast food years back, and I know it doesn’t seem like the best job, but it’s a job nonetheless and you’re catering to a business area. What kind of burger would you have made if some big named celebrity ordered there and complained? C’mon guys.

I work nearby and visit here occasionally… very hit and miss at this location. Last experience was awful and I probably won’t be back.

1) Located off the 805& Balboa ave in San Diego 2) This Location is a little Get-O, When you see grown Men on Bikes riding around the streets to get a burger… that’s Not a good sign, Real Men own vehicles 3) Since this location is the closet to The Jack In The Back Headquarters… they offer unique test-trail menu items such as Chili Cheese Curly Fries, Bacon Milk Shake, and items like that

I went to jack in the box, normally I don’t go, but because I have tried the buttery jack, and that is the only reason why I would go to jack in the box. Overall, standard was good, I don’t think you can get wrong with fast food hamburgers but you never know. The curly fries are so yummy, although only a couple of them were actually like really curly where there were more than one circle. Anyways, they didn’t mess up on the curly fries and it was good along with my hamburger. I tried the buttery jack, everything was good and no complains instead of taste. Don’t expect gourmet because it a fast food restaurant. This place had good service, didn’t have to wait too long and pretty much delivered. For what it serves it was good overall.

Worst experience took over 10 mins to get one sandwich and there were hardly any customers waiting. Came in the morning and the coffee tasted old as well

Unfortunately due to my job I eat at a lot of fast food restaurants. This Jack in the box is the best on I have eaten at. The food is pretty much the same but the difference is the staff and how they treat the customer. Not that I have been treated bad at other JNB’s but this is the first one that ever tried to make it up to me for my order taking I guess what they thought was a long time. I ordered the breakfast plater and they were out of the mini pancakes. They first ask me if I wanted to order something else or would I like the waffle bread instead I said that would be fine and they tried to give me a free coffee. Later she called me over and gave me a juice. The good was good and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was happy and my order was fine. When I’m in SD and hungry I will be stoping back in.

This Jack in the Box is the WORST! The chicken club is a piece of deep fried chicken that tasted dried out and greasy. Fries are mushy and uncooked. Definately won’t come back here.

I don’t get why this place has more than two stars. The cashier was friendly when we ordered and help us make separate checks when I ordered with my cousins. But when we got back to our hotel room and checked the food, it was horrible. The fries were small and overcooked. One of the sourdough jacks was burnt. «I expected more than this.» Was my cousins reaction. As soon as I bit into the taco I didn’t see any meat and discolored pieces of lettuce. I didn’t bother finished the rest and we just threw all the food away. What a waste of money –_–

This is your average Jack in the Box, you will not experience anything out of the ordinary. They once messed up my order but later fixed it and even gave me a free dessert.

Lots of homeless hanging out. Rude service. Worst jack in the box in north county. Don’t ever use the bathrooms there either.

I had a yearning for some chicken tenders, and I figured I could get them rather quickly here. I order them and a couple of tacos and a vanilla milkshake. The tenders were good. I received 5 for $ 4.79.( ) I liked that they came hot and crunchy. The all white chicken meat was tender and slightly stringy.( ) They had a good peppery breading on them. The tacos were descent. The mystery meat(soy) was a little on the mushy side, but the shell was crunchy and tasted good.( ) The star of my meal was the real ice cream vanilla milkshake.( ) It came with a great vanilla flavor. It was thick and rich, and was initially so thick, that I could not even suck it through the straw.( ) Great milkshake! Regarding the service, after a small order mix mishap, everything else went smoothly. The food came out at a reasonable amount of time and the employees were nice. I like vanilla milkshakes…

Well, this is my 200 review and I can tell you that compared to the many choices for breakfast places in this area this place delivers. Service, product and presentation makes sure that I will be back!

Order my fave item on the menu: JIB tacos. The taco shells were a bit stale, the cheese was not completely melted, and there wasn’t much sauce. It was dry. I was disappointed… Friendly service and quick, but failed to deliver…

I have never felt so welcomed in a Jack in the Box! You laugh but if you read the other reviews, majority rules that this staff is pretty friendly for a fast food restaurant. My fave thing at Jack: Jalapeño Poppers… perfectly battered and the cheese is just right! I went here for their coupon deal: free grilled fajita chicken pita with a purchase of a large drink. (Get it while it still lasts) The fajita was pretty good and nice size.

After a solid outing with some of Unilocal’s finest at Tobacco Rhoda’s, then closing out West Coast Tavern, the crowds are thinning out after 2am. I had hoped to catch a late nite/early morning snack with the evening’s survivors, but it just wasn’t in the cards this time. Instead I, helped out on unnecessary cab fare and generic cabbie chit chat by motoring a couple of my fellow Unilocalers back to their respective homes, safe and sound. With my VIP escort missions completed, I was still craving, but the adrenaline levels must have waned. So rather than sit alone at a diner and pass out, I just wanted to grab something simple. Not many places open after 3:30am, but thankfully the drive-thru window @ JitB is available. Their tall, brightly lit restaurant sign is the beacon that calls out, «Come to me…» [
At the menu board speaker and also when I pull up to the window I receive the most cheerful greetings. I’ve experienced the low-energy store associate especially at random hours like this and it can be a sad scene. Not here, though, and not this time. She confirms my order again and heads back to the kitchen area to help out probably because it’s a bare bones crew. It’s only a matter of minutes when I’m back on the road and eventually at home, to enjoy my freshly prepared dollar menu bites [ . I’m a fan of convenience, customer service, menu variety with options, value pricing, and fast food that tastes good to me… albeit after hitting the bars. Jack in the Box hit the marks on my criteria for this visit.

Picture this: A poor little Asian chick rolling up to a Jack in the Box in Kearny Mesa of all places in her beat up, dirty ’95 Camry and being addressed on the intercom as though she were at a 5 star restaurant. As if their unique logo wasn’t indication enough, this place is special, dude. Perhaps more importantly, my food and fries came fresh and piping hot. I love it when my curly fries aren’t made with old oil(you can judge by the lightness/darkness of the color). And of course, just before driving off, the cashier wishes me a good night and tells me to drive safely. Isn’t that sweet? Best Jack in the Box ever :)
