I have used their services twice — once to size a new watch and another time to repair a pearl necklace. Both times the owner was courteous and the work was excellent.
They offer reasonable prices and fast turnaround times for the work.

Great customer service! Walked in for a battery replacement for a watch, did it on the spot for $ 15. Came back next day to inquire about having a watch polished/​buffed. We went with the refurbishment for $ 55 and was happily pleased, the watch looked brand new again! There was a polish service as well for much less but this watch was pretty scratched up and needed some attention, boy does it look as good as new!

They moved from Point Loma a few months back and I’ve been going here since we first lived in Point Loma 15 years ago. The owner has made custom jewelry for me and his prices are extremely reasonable. He also has replaced my watch battery on the spot on multiple occasions. It is rare to find a family owned jeweler who you can trust and know that you won’t be paying outrageous prices. Now I live in CV and drive here even for a watch battery replacement!

Could not be happier with the level of service I receive from Ipanema Watch. I trust them will all of my watches and with each service, the owner walks me through the necessity of everything that he did, and often sends me text messages as he is working on my watch showing me what he has done and why. I would recommend Ipanema to anyone.

Wow! I just had a fine watch battery replaced for only $ 10 (I have been charged $ 60 – 70 in other places)! Brought in a bunch of little repairs too and they got them all done in a matter of minutes. Oh, and very courteous and pleasant. Welcome to the neighborhood Ipanema! Obrigada!

Ipanema used to be in Point Loma and was much loved in that neighborhood. They’ve relocated in mission hills and it’s totally worth driving there! The quality of service, their knowledge as well as kindness makes it my favorite destination for watch repair. They can be trusted to take great care of those expensive, fancy watches and I love how they take the time to explain and show you what needs to be done and what might be wrong in the mechanism. Fantastic place.
