Fantastic service! Super friendly. I’ve had a couple of belts needing work and they’ve taken care of each one on different trips without much of a wait. Been so happy with them that I’ve been referring others. Hope you’ll try this location too!

Came here over the weekend with my friend. We wanted to take a look at the silk scarves and ties that they had since my friend collects ties.
First of all, I used to work many retails jobs before so I get it when employees tell the customers «Let me know if you need help». Cool, but it’s terrible when they watch you like a hawk as if you’re going to steal something. We used to do that when I was a teen working in retail and you get an feeling that these punk kids are going to steal, you watch them down and pretend you’re trying to «serve» them, but WOW! I’m shocked my friend and I were nicely dressed, he was even wearing a suit so I have no idea why they stare you down.
There’s no need to follow us around the store every inch. There’s a difference between selling and trying to get commission over «babysitting» customers that you think will steal or ruin your merchandise.
The employees don’t even smile. They’re more like security guards than sales associates if anything. Their employees need to calm TF down. Smile and at least pretend you like your job.
We were so uncomfortable in the store my friend and I left before he even got to take a good look at the ties.

My hubby and I went in on a whim one Saturday as we got lucky it was open. We usually frequent FV on Sundays where the Hermes store is close. We were assisted with a very friendly and professional staff as we both bought our bracelets. We wanted to stay and browse longer but was running late for an appointment with a NM associate. Nonetheless, our first purchase at this store was a 5 star experience. One SA named Ricky who assisted our SA Paola caught us off guard with his wicked sense of humor but it was all good :)

Ricky is honestly the worst sales associate I have ever encountered. He was rude, condescending and extremely unprofessional. I will never frequent this store again based solely on the fact that he works there. Save your time and effort and go to the store in costa mesa!

My first SLG from Hermes I went into store was very excited Paola help me she was very nice and helpful, they didn’t have the item I wanted so I place a order, left the store and 2 days later I call to track my order a very rude lady with a thick accent said she couldn’t help me didn’t even give me a chance to ask or explain, long story short my item won’t arrive till Friday and I won’t be in town Friday Horrible horrible experience won’t shop here anymore.

I haven’t been in the city of San Diego, too long. (Moved in 2013.) Before that, the Costa Mesa-​based Hermés store was the go-​to location, living in Newport Beach. The service was fair. No complaints, to say the least.
Now, San Diego. My first visit was a simple, no longer than 5-​minute «browse and walk out». (I had other priorities in that shopping district, then.) I did notice an awkward-​looking, older, grumpy woman — not doing much other than sitting on her arse behind the counter the whole time, other than interacting with myself or the other customers, inside.
My wife visited the store, not too long ago. In her own words, «So here’s Ricky’s card. He’s the Asian guy. You need ties, or buying gifts, you talk to him.» She was in and out in about 10 minutes, with the leather goods she needed. (A mutual friend who owns a group of car dealerships [in San Diego] suggested she go to Ricky.)
Went there to look for a briefcase, not too long after. Surely enough, Ricky was there. (Red, soft leather briefcase.) (Spotted the weird old woman, too. Hah ha!) Anywho, I needed a stronger-​built one, that could endure the abuse I put briefcases through. I deemed it unfair to do so to a mere 9,000.00 (U.S.D.) one from Hermés, and opted for a different manufacturer — from Fashion Valley’s shops.
A genuinely helpful and informative associate, he was. Between him and Leilani C. (a Louis Vuitton associate, recently promoted to the Neiman Marcus in-​house store, from the Fashion Valley flagship store), the experiences have been helpful, courteous, and TIMELY.
Our anniversary is coming, and guess who and from where I will be going to? Ricky from Hermés. And if he isn’t available, to Costa Mesa I will go!

There is a horrible lady working here who they will not get rid of. She is not friendly at all. When others are there I will shop there but with her. I went to buy an inexpensive bottle of cologne Narcisse bleau and she was very mean. I went to Bloomingdales and even though at that time they didn’t have Narcise bleau I got the Orange instead. Her name is Anna and she will say Khati!

Come to find out her name is not Katja but Ana, interesting maybe she didn’t want a bad review…

I rarely go into this store because nowadays I only buy the large bottles of Concentré d’Orange Verte Eau de Cologne which currently costs a cool $ 154.00, but which lasts me well over a year. It’s a wonderful fragrance that smells fresh and citrusy and is not overpowering like many men’s colognes. I like the fact that no one else wears it and even better that the ladies like it too, especially my special lady!
Back in the day I wore a lot of Hermes ties. I still have about twenty of them. They tied well, looked classy and no one else had the same ties as me. They cost about $ 100 a piece, and stayed well for years.
As for the Fashion Valley Store, I really do not have much to say, it’s nicely decorated and as I know exactly what I want my interaction with the staff is minimal. I have found them to be courteous and professional.
Obviously Hermes products are not for everyone, and I think the staff are probably trained to be a little distant. This is not the Cheesecake Factory where the waiting staff kneel at your table, introduce themselves and ask you how your day is going. Hermes is a luxury product and I think the store and the staff reflect this.

Find yourself walking in to the store because your lady-​friend dragged you in, and you’ll see 3 things:
1.) Price tags that look like zip codes
2.) Very little inventory
3.) A guy wearing an all-​black suit scowling at you from the corner
I understand people give value to «status symbols.» I don’t personally think this is a store worth anyone’s business, but if you want to drop an outrageous sum for a bag, go nuts. Fellas, expect an awkward experience.

Paola is so awesome! Go ask her if you need help with anything. She is genuine and very patient. She has made my wife’s dream come true on our anniversary. Paola (and everyone else including the boutique director actually) have given us an amazing customer experience and this San Diego Hermes is by far the best Hermes store we’ve been to (much much better than the South Coast one).

went in to buy a specific scarf, and halfway through the transaction (I was already paying) two Mexican men walked in and the sales associate completely dropped me, and I mean completely– no receipt, no package, nothing, to go help them, didn’t say excuse me, or thank you– guess they drop more change than I was but that’s totally rude– I almost want to return the product cause I feel like I should have walked out and just purchased on-​line or in France.

I feel the need to update my review after my last visit. I stopped by the store today to pick up a few items (some were still out of stock, which is why I did not give a 5 star rating), and Maria Teresa could not have been more helpful. I was running errands in workout clothes and no makeup, but she was wonderfully courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. My experience with her was completely different than with the sales associate I dealt with on my last visit. After complaining that I will only shop at Hermes when out of town, I have reversed my position. I still wish this store carried more stock, but I look forward to working with her – and only her– in the future.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! I was with my boyfriend who was looking for a Hermes belt. They weren’t busy at all but did not really seem to acknowledge our presence. This nice russian accented lady welcomed us, and asked if we need help. So she helped us get the belt from the stock room for us to see. So the other lady (a bit chubby) who works there whispered (which we can actually hear…) to the russian lady «why are you even servicing these people.» UMM hey, we’re customers and please do treat us with respect!

I bought a Hermes Perfume for my sister. It’s Hermes Jour. I didn’t have any issue with the store associates. They even put a ribbon on the box and in the orange paper bag. She even sprayed the perfume on the paper. Service were great! I wouldn’t mind buying a perfume there since its exactly the same price from any other store. Just a better paper bag. LOL!

I love Sheryl service. she is the best because she always safe a new arrvied stuff for me. Thanks Sheryl. I cannot wait you are be back this summer. Hope you and your new born baby doing well.

My mom wanted a belt for her b-​day so I went to get it for her here; I had been to other locations but they were all out of this specific belt.
The lady who waited on me was so rude that I only stayed because I desperately needed to get the damn belt, she didnt deserve her comission at all.
She wasnt helpful when it came to calculating my moms belt size and she was a total snob telling me that I was the luckiest person becuase they were all out and I had snatched the only belt left… pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeezhhhhhh like we all go out and buy $ 800 belts everyday.
whatever, I have my belt and I will never go back…
ohhh, plus I had several shopping bags and she didnt even offer to help or hold them while I shopped. Snobs and bad ones at that… not classy at all.

I went in with my friend that shops at this store often and was pleasantly surprised at how sweet and helpful everyone was.
I never gave Hermes much thought but after going in with my friend I will probably start shopping there or at least stop by each time I’m at Fashion Valley.

Every single sales associate at this particular store is nothing short of amazing. Every single one of them have their distinct and fun personalities. The many times I have visited, I have had nothing but great times exploring their exquisite pieces of art, learning a bit about their history, and just getting to know the lovely sales associates there. It is like visiting old friends whenever I step into the store.
I wish their inventory was a tad better though because it can be frustrating not being able to buy items I want at times. They always try their best in locating items I am in love with and even show me items I am not familiar with based on my preferences and purchase history.
At this store you will never feel that an associate is too busy or too good to help you. You will feel that you are shopping with your friends. I highly recommend this Hermes.

JD was awesome! He was extremely helpful & knowledgeable. I was in search of the 32 mm Constance belt for quite some time and luckily they had it in stock! JD was efficient and quickly processed my transaction by phone. If the entire staff is just as a great as JD, you’ll have an awesome experience!

I came around 7pm on a Monday and it was already closed… I was looking to purchase a tie :/
