Thank you for feeding my Thai Food addiction! By far the best THAI restaurant in the area. Really enjoy the Penang Curry chicken.

Love eating here for lunch. The food is great an comes at a reasonable price. The thing I like the most is they are consistently serving quality sushi every time. You will be happy to eat here. I like the Officers roll personally.

Great food Smelled a little funny when we walked in but overall it was good ol authentic Thai food Started out with a shrimp tempura roll and fried wontons Had curry red and yellow for the main dish Great food Yes service could be better but you have family running the place so they are doing the best they can. Super friendly and super polite Definitely come back again

I ordered over the phone for pick up. I called once to ask a couple of questions about the menu. I called a second time to place my order. Basically, add $ 3 – 4 to each individual item in your order. I got two rolls, one was priced at $ 6 on the menu and the second was $ 9. When I picked up the food my total was over $ 22. I spoke to the employee who rang me up about this discrepancy, she said she’s spoken to the owner about this but he has no interest in fixing it. This is an unethical way to run a business by advertising prices ~30% below what is charge.

I had their lunch special Pad thai seafood. The lunch special is of great value. Real fresh ingredients, the portion was plenty, and the price is very reasonable, $ 13. The service is outstanding, you can see the more experienced waitress is really genuine and caring. The atomsphere seem a bit crowded. The location is decent. I would highly recommend a quick lunch here.

I came here for lunch since its only less than three blocks from my work. I was greeted immediately by a young lady and was given the menu also immediately. A nice touch. The menu is very extensive; easily over 100 items to choose from. I would reccomend stream lining the menu and reduce the amount of items to only to a few of the best sellers or limited to the more savory dishes and specialty. The service is very attentive and the young lady that served me-always approached me with a pleasant warm smile. This is very nice to see. I ordered the Spicy Crispy Calamare. The presentation is very nice but the batter is too dark for my taste. The calamare could have been cooked 30 seconds to 1 minute less for that light golden crispy batter appeal or use fresh oil. The sweet and sour sauce served with the calamare unfortunately is store bought. It would have been nice to have freshly made sweet and sour sauce instead. The main dish I ordered is the Spicy Steamed Mussels. It is accompanied by a garlic sauce and Jasmine Thai rice. The mussels are good but too many bay and mint leaves in the bowl. A couple for presentation is a nice touch but no more than two or three tops. The mussels are good but could have been cooked two minutes less. A couple were over cooked a tough to chew. As much as I would like this establishment a higher rating… their cooks seem to lack in attention to detail and or technique. Maybe both. They need to elevate their cooking from home cooking to fine dining since there are so many fine dining dishes on the menu.

Now I had high hopes when I got here however it was a let down. My beef curry had 4 little slices of beef so we’re is the beef. Now however there was real good flavor but not sure if I would ever come back. The other dish got my beef. The patseeu got the flavor and tast are there so if you like meat I guess that is the meal to get. One thing if you go they give military discount but you need to tell them up front

It’s one of the only places in town that can make food that’s actually spicy to me. I love their green and red curry(spicy 10) and I get one of those every time I go. The price is cheap and the service is good, can’t ask for much more than that.

I wanted to try this place because I live 8 minutes away from it and I love sushi! the quality of the sushi is low and the salmon looked old on the Rainbow Roll. if you enjoy cheap sushi then this is the place to go! the smell when you first walk in smelt of rotten fish so that should’ve been my sign to walk right out and not eat there. my waitress on the other hand was extremely nice.

I love this place, I would go more if it was closer. I was introduced a few years ago and I haven’t stopped going since. I get the shrimp fried rice everytime and their sushi is pretty good too. Their staff is super friendly and I love bringing new people all the timr. Also they do military discounts!

The food was great. We were a group of 6 and we all loved it. We had the Hawaiian fried rice, Pad thai noodles, fried egg rolls, penang duck curry, crunch roll and lemon roll. Everything was so good we ate it all and ordered more sushi, more penang curry and dessert. Their prices are great as well. The bill was just over $ 100. I will highly recommend. The only thing I did not like was the service from our very dry and grumpy waitress. Most really good Asian restaurants I’ve been to have great food and not so nice servers. I’d rather have great food then great service so I gave them 5 stars anyway. It’s worth it.

Nice quiet place with yummy dishes. Service was great. Good was tasty but be very careful how you order your level of spicy. Ordered a three but I am sure it was seven. Sushi tasted fresh. Prices was very reasonable. Would recommend if you are staying at the navy lodge its walking distance.

I stopped in for dinner last night. I had the New York roll, chicken Satay, shrimp fresh rolls and Harborside Fried Rice. The presentation was great, the rice comes in a halved pineapple! The quality of the food was very good. Everything came out very well. I liked that they had both Japanese and Thai dishes to choose from. It got busier towards the end but the quality of service stayed the same. I enjoyed this restaurant and will be back.

I’ve been to this establishment several times over the last two years. At first my dining experiences were good. But slowly it started to decline to the point where I loathe going but the food is good and it’s walking distance from where I live so I still go on occasion. At first it was charging me extra for a tiny container of sriracha. Which popped up about a year into my going. $ 1 for a tiny container not even filled up halfway is not worth it. Other times I’ve gone since they started doing that and depending on who’s working I can just squirt it on my meal before I jet off, free of charge. Tonight I ordered, the woman behind the register is also working waitressing duty and running around, when she finally gets to me she takes my order and then takes off before I can pay. She presents me with my check and then I tell her I’m military(they give a discount) and she says it’s too late. That I should have told her before I started ordering. But if she hadn’t of run off I would have been able to tell her before she printed off my cheque. Other times I have told them I was military after making my order and they’ve given me the discount no problem. I’m just really fed up with the shitty service here. I will go farther for my sushi cravings now.

Thai, Laosian and Sushi all in one place — never again do you have to choose between the three when you can get all of them here. I’ve been coming here since they opened up and obviously keep coming back for more. But in all the times I’ve been here, it’s never been too busy or packed. The most I’ve seen is probably 4 tables max. Nothing special about the ambiance and décor but they’ll typically have major games on the TV. The places losses a star for service. For as long as I’ve been here the service is always slow, unfriendly(almost rude) and inattentive — with an exception from the owners’ daughter who really gave us a good experience. But the food really brings it home for them, although I would love to see more Fusions foods like a chicken satay sushi roll or something since its Thai, Lao and Sushi. The [Chicken Pad Thai] is alright but ya’ll gotta try their [Beef Pad See Ew] and you probably wont want pad thai anymore. The [Shrimp Fresh Egg Rolls] are good and best with the peanut sauce so ask for more. The [Harborside Fried Rice] is cool, but probably because it’s served in a pineapple. As far as their sushi go, don’t sleep on the [Pokie Roll] and [Harborside Roll], and the sushi chef is kind enough to make your rolls with less rice if you want. If you’re lucky enough to get there for lunch, order the lunch specials. Best lunch deal in the area with a stacked plate. Also, the owner is kind enough to walk around and check on you from time to time. He even gave us a free margarita! But yeah, a great place for a late dinner since they are open until 10pm.

This is my favorite place to get Red Curry. It is just absolutely delocious. I don’t have to drive all the day to Clairemont to satisfy my thai food and sushi cravings. The staff is always very friendly. Whenever I do dine inside, there aren’t always very many people. The food is delicious, but lack of people may be because of the location. It could be very hard to miss. Anyways, back to the food. The food always tastes very fresh and consistent. The red curry is delicious. I’ve tried it with variety of meat options there, and I do favor the chicken or seafood. It is the perfect combination of spicy and sweet, with a lot of fresh vegetables. The pad thai is delicious too! I love that this place also serves great sushi. My favorites are the officer roll and the Harborside roll. Very delicious. Love this place.

This place is pretty good. My fave is their pad thai! I was a bit skeptical as they seemed to have combined sushi, Thai and American food together, but overall, all the dishes I’ve had have impressed me and left me satisfied! I do dock off one star due to service. Sometimes it takes so long to get someone to refill water or take take your order. If service was up to speed they would definitely get 5⁄5.

I love Harborside! I work nearby and is our lunch break go-to. Great lunch special, typically good service, good food and usually quick. Only downside is/was(hasn’t been a problem in a few months) was confusion with orders-may have been a communication/understanding issue. I’ve eaten spicy noodles and red curry but many of guest have had pad Thai and pad see eww. We got often at least 1 maybe 2⁄3 times per month as a group or of 2 and love it. I even have a coworker who goes enough they remember his order, pad see ew. :)

This place was A-ok, but not too memorable for me. I had a meeting at the Filipino bakery a couple doors down and was looking for some ‘real food’. This place suffices, but to me, the food wasn’t memorable. I would go again, but only if I was in the area. The service was friendly and fast and I’m super glad that we didn’t have to go far to get real food. If you are in the area, definitely go for it, but if you live north of the 52, like me, this isn’t a place you NEED to necessarily trek down for.

We are sort of sushi and Thai food snobs who live in South Bay where there is no amazing sushi or Thai for miles, that is until we found out about Harborside Thai! The Thai is amazing, way more amazing than Amarin Thai in Hillcrest, which we frequented for a while, and just as amazing and fresh as Bangkok Spices on El Cajon Blvd, our ultimate favorite. Harborside is extremely fresh and the sushi rolls are all amazing, acutely balanced in ingredients. Major kudos to the sushi chef, the man knows his stuff.
