I’ve been looking for a good esthetician since I moved to San Diego a year ago. I finally found Sarah at Gingerly.

Ginger and her staff are the BEST! Have been a client at Gingerly Wax since they opened at this location in South Park. Never have had a problem getting scheduled. Every one is always so happy and friendly!

I tried this place after I got a haircut and filled in for someone who didn’t show up. It is by appointment only, but I was in the neighborhood and got lucky :) Very nice staff ! They did a wonderful job cleaning up my brows.

I received services from Ginger, who is a true professional. I didn’t realize waxing could be this easy and painless. I will be coming back here in the future. Thank you!

First saw this salon during the last South Park walkabout, and was excited to try it out. Sarah was fantastic with my brow and bikini waxing, and an excellent singer besides :) Between the convenient location, great ambience, friendly and professional service, I will definitely be back!

Just left from getting a Brazilian and it being my first time at this waxing salon. They are by far the best. The receptionist was really nice and professional. She greeting me just as I walked through the door :) the esthetician was super cool and helpful. She gave me some good tips and did not make it awkward what so ever. Definitely making Gingerly Wax my go to.

I loved this place came here for my first Brazilian and was super nervous. I told the technician that it was my first time and she was very helpful in giving me as much information that I needed to know about how the hair growth works when getting waxed.
The procedure was not as painful as I imagined, it did hurt but she made it easier when she told me to take deep breaths and let them out when she pulled. The music in the background was nice, helped a little with the nerves.
Overall I was very satisfied. At the end I was given a birthday discount (I love discounts). After trying out a different waxing place I know I want to come back here and get waxed there.

Let me start by stating Tracy is AMAZING. I’m not a first time waxer but due to not having one done in nearly 4 years, I might as well been. She was very patient, funny, and it was seriously the least painful experience ever. Previously, I went to Zikki’s wax and while I loved it there – I didn’t realize what it was like to be pampered. I’m so glad I found Tracy… she’s a jewel! The customer service was great even when I had to reschedule my second wax. They are all so accommodating and sweet.

Great brow job. Squeezed me in without an appointment and didn’t have to wait at all. Super friendly, funny and approachable ladies. Who says they can’t wait to go back to a waxing salon? ME! I Can’t wait to return:)

I’ve been here twice now. Both times I walked in (because I never remember to make appointments, and usually get around to getting waxed about 24 hours before I think there is a chance I’ll be seen nekkid or in a bathing suit or something. That’s how it goes, amiright?). The first time I went, I was waxed by Ginger. She did a great job and was fast. She has the personality of a quirky, sassy older sister and I laughed the whole time! I do not believe it is possible to have more fun while someone slathers your nether region in hot wax and rips your hair out by the roots. It was awesome! I kinda want to hang out with Ginger all the time.
The next time I went, I saw Sarah. I didn’t think it would be possible to like anyone as much as I liked Ginger, but indeed Sarah is also an amazing person and we chatted and laughed and laughed and laughed. Meanwhile, all the unwanted hair went away – easy peasy.
If you, like me, have body hair that needs to go, and are bad at remembering to make appointments, and love to laugh, you should come to Gingerly Wax!

Gingerly Wax has that wonderful cool without trying too hard vibe. The owner, Ginger, has created something really special in this salon. My daughter and I have been going to Gingerly for over two years now and won’t go anywhere else! Not only can you get top notch treatments each and every time, you feel like you’ve found the best-​kept secret that you want to tell everyone about. It’s just that great. A tip regarding parking: If you cannot find parking in the front, it is often easier to find around back.

I have not had a brow wax in a couple of years because of my sensitive skin and the fear of going through a traumatic waxing experience again. I found this place while perusing Unilocal.I got the courage to call and make an appointment and from the phone call to my walk in everyone was genuinely friendly. To top it off Tracy did a great job and talked me through the whole process to ease my anxiety about my brow wax. I will definitely be coming back.

I found this place on accident and I’m so glad I did. I’ll be getting all my waxing done here from now on.
It’s kind of tucked away in the back of a small alcove of shops, not too hard to find though.
I didn’t have an appointment and was able to walk right in, and didn’t have to wait at all.
Janine did my waxing and she was so sweet and did such a good job. One of the least painful waxing experiences I’ve had in a very long time. And super fast and reasonably priced.
This is FOR SURE where I will be having all of my waxing done from now on.

Ahhhhh Ginger and Morgan are the absolute best at Brazilian on the entire West Coast.
I moved a while back and don’t get to go to Gingerly Wax anymore. After trying a dozen places in Seattle and Los Angeles and having had unfortunate experiences basically everywhere, I gave up on waxing entirely.
Appreciate Gingerly Wax as much as you can ladies because a good Brazilian experience does not exist outside of San Diego.
I hope to see Ginger again some time but I don’t have any reason to travel there anymore. I might just start thinking about moving back there lol.

Hands down the best group of ladies I’ve gotten a Brazilian wax with! And also hands down the best Brazilian I’ve ever gotten! Amazing and such friendly customer service. Ginger, Janine, Tracy, Heidi and all the ladies really make you feel welcomed. My latest Brazilian wax here was from Tracy who is extremely warm, accommodating, professional, and works promptly but never rushed. They always takes the time to make sure ya get the best wax ever! They’re all super fun to talk with and I literally often forget I’m getting a wax while talking with them. I asked Tracy if they do eyebrow touch-​ups to which she responded she could give mine a trim! (No extra cost) she gave them the quickest snip and I was amazed at how awesome they looked!
I’ll be a customer here for life :-)

Ginger is a fantastic woman. She’s silly and very professional. It’s always a treat to see her.
I started to visit Gingerly Wax when Morgan started working there around 2010. Now that Morgan is gone, I alternate between visiting Janine or Tracy, both great in their own way. The location is conveniently located in South Park near The Station, some antique shops, and a few other restaurants. I look forward to my monthly appointments so I can meander around South Park a bit and visit some lovely ladies.
Pricing is very reasonable and comparable to other shops. The shop is small and private.

Todas las mujeres siempre tratamos de no vernos tan feitas…: p (bueno eso creo) y pues sin bellos nos vemos un pokito mejor, es la primera vez que hago esto de la depilación con cera :) y me fui a lo grande Jajajaja me animé al brazilian wax y auchhhhh como dolió!! =) pero valió la pena y si lo recomiendo, se siente uno mucho mas limpia, se puede uno poner traje de baño agusto :) y verse bien (según yo .se ve bien uno jajja). Bueno platicare un poco mi experiencia para las nuevas en esto, cuando llegue estaba súper nerviosa, las manos me sudaban y estaba a punto de irme, quería subirme a mi carro y desaparecer de allí, pero pues ya había hecho la cita dos semanas antes y dije ya estoy aquí ya que! Las muchachas que trabajan allí son adorables! La recepcionista te recibe con una sonrisa y es súper linda y la muchacha que me hizo el trabajote ufff súper linda también te explica todo acerca de la depilación y te hace sentir muy cómoda, recomiendo mucho esto a las que son nuevas como yo y «ojo» que antes de ir, esperen a que pasen 3 semanas o mas para que todo crezca (refiriendome al bello) como debe de ser y se haga un trabajo mucho mas limpio, creeanme que saldran contentas :) :) un poco irritadas pero felices: p

I’m back! Called this morning promptly after they opened and a kind voice (didn’t catch her name) answered the call and quickly booked me for the same day at 4:15.
The staff is prompt and polite, and totally genuine about it. I honestly feel so welcomed here. I was brow waxed by Tracy today and I’m learning everyone here has serious skills. I know my brows have serious potential and they know exactly what to do with my unruly brow line. I am so impressed.
It’s $ 20.00 for a brow wax and it is SO WELL WORTH IT. easy to find but come early to find a spot on the street.
I am hopeful in the future ms. Ginger will add in someone who does facials etc.
I will be back — I’m a forever client now. :)
