Solid Thai restaurant in the north Poway/Rancho area. My first try was with a 6 person party lunch family style. Enjoyed the Pad See Ew, Pad Thai, Fried Rice and Mixed Seafood along with Chicken Satay and Fish Cakes. Also a great Thai tea. All tasty, but I did have a good label on my cooked pepper. Other than that, good experience.

We got 7 dishes included desserts. OMG, they were really delicious!!! Yummy thai food, friendly and kind hostess. Prompt serviced. Everything is excellent. Two thumbs up. The best! I thought Sabilee is the best one but… no…this is the one now. Hidden treasure @RB. My favorite Thai restaurant.

Directly behind the barrel room! I don’t live in the area and drove for 5 minutes trying to find it. I ordered the chicken pad see ew and it was decent. I ordered medium spicy, but I think the cook accidentally dropped a bit more into it than anticipated. I actually didn’t mind, because I actually quite enjoy spice. I’d come here again if I was around and needed a Thai food fix. But I’m not sure I’d seek it out on my own. Just happened to be up this way for an appointment. There’s a nice little area you can eat outdoors if you’d like. I got mine to go and opted to eat in the outdoor area which was nice because they have a water fountain and a quiet atmosphere. Try this place out, it’ll give you the fix you need!

Debating between three and four stars, for now I’ll give it three. Ordered the lunch Pad Thai with shrimp and the small vegetable Tom Yum soup. I got them to pickup, and my food was supposed to be ready in 10 – 35 minutes, took about 15 so very decent! When I went to pick up my food, the waitress was very friendly and kind. She made me want to come back again. 4.5 stars: Tom Yum soup was flavored very well and had a great kick of acidity to it. Not too sour, but definitely not bland at all. The vegetables were cooked well also and still retained their texture but had soaked up the yummy soup. 2 stars: Shrimp Pad Thai somehow really lacked flavor. Lacked fish/seafood flavor even though it had shrimp in it. I think I’ll go home and add some fish sauce and lime juice to this to kick it up a bit. I think I will be coming back and hopefully revising my review!

I thought the food was fresh & excellent. We shared Red Chicken Curry, Orange Chicken and Beef Hot Basil. The owner and waitress were very friendly and the restaurant was clean. We got our check in a timely manner and my Thai Ice Tea was refilled in no time. This place is in the courtyard close to the Barrel Room by a water fountain, I had no trouble finding it. Their hours are a little unique so you might want to call ahead and make sure they are open. They close between 3 – 5 in the afternoon to prep for dinner and reopen at 5, Sunday’s they do not open until 5 pm.

I went into Erawan for the first time and found the place to be very nice and clean. And lots of parking outside both front and behind the building. I ordered the Thai noodles soup with chicken and pork. It was a perfect dish for a cold day. The flavor was sweet and sound and very authentic. The portion was very generous and I had to take half of it home for another meal(The owner packed it for me and the sauce and substances were separated so the noodles don’t get soggy later). I plan to go back and try other dishes soon.

The owner reached out to me after my review and noted that they have changed their to go boxes to ones with separators. They also invited me to come back for another meal on them! Great customer service goes a long way. Bravo! Keep it up!

Best tasting Thai in the RB/Carmel Mountain area. Everything from the fish cakes to the egg rolls, were outstanding. The drunken noodles were spicy and flavorful. We asked for everything in a medium and it was perfectly spiced. The thai basil beef was tender as was the chili lime steamed fish. The only thing that was not a 5 star was the yellow curry chicken. It was BLAND! Now the service. Super SLOW! BUT they are brand new and getting used to crowds. The people are super nice so give them a try. You will thank me for the food. And if you have never had a fish cake, shame on you! Go try it!

Agreed with one of the reviews. This is a new Thai restaurant opened recently in RB. Slowest service in the area. We have been waiting for more than 30 mins for even our egg rolls. Ridiculous!!! We ordered egg rolls, not even cooked till golden yellow. Even kids didn’t like it. We still have not got the privilege to taste the entrees yet after 45 mins so cannot comment on the food but the services are definitely not somewhere you should spend the money on. There are several more Thai restaurant around RB which is much better and faster service. Will never waste our time in here. By the way when we are here the restaurant is not even 1⁄3 occupied.

Like many other Thai restaurants, the menu is very similar, with very similar layout and items. The food taste is what sets this place apart. Fried Tofu appetizer, Papaya Salad(Thai Style), Pad See Ew noodles were excellent. Panang Salmon was good, not the best — the fish was deep fried which is somewhat new to me, at least. A very generous serving of salmon, though. There was one waiter — probably the owner — but the place was not crowded. So, she did just fine. Quite attentive and got the requests accurately. The tables were not cleared fast enough. No one to bus. Definitely one of the top go-to choices the next time I feel like Thai.

Wow… slowest Thai restaurant I have ever been to! We came in the other night with some friends because Urge and Akai Hana were both slammed. We peeked in Erawan’s window and only one table was being used. That was a sign we completely ignored. The food was actually pretty good. We ordered the Crying Tiger, Panang Curry, Pad See Ew, and the Tom Kha soup. All of it was as good as any other Thai restaurant we’ve been to. The Crying Tiger was actually really delicious and was probably the standout dish of the meal. If you’re not into spicy food then avoid it as the sauce has a pretty good kick. But the service… man. I feel bad because the lady who appeared to be running the show was very, very nice. But we were in there for 2HOURS. Most of that time was sitting around waiting for our food. We were never checked on. We constantly had to ask her or another server/busboy/bartender guy for refills or to check on our order. And again, there was literally almost nobody in the restaurant. While we were there(we were a party of 5) a table of 4 and another table of 6 or 7 people were in the restaurant. That was it the whole time we were there! I would have understood more if they were filled to capacity but they weren’t even close. I find this to be so weird because normally Thai restaurants are super quick. Perhaps we caught them on an off night because of the holidays… so maybe they were understaffed??? I think because the lady was so nice and the food was pretty good we may go back and give them another shot. But I think we’ll wait until after the holidays are long gone.

Ordered at 4:45 and didn’t get my food until now at 6:48pm. Terrible. And only 20% off after an hour late delivery.

I ordered a party tray of Panang curry. Fresh string green beans with pork are great combination. The curry was not spicy yet tasty. The curry was gone quickly and people complimented«It was very delicious.» I definitely will come back to try other food in the menu.

I found this on Unilocal while looking for a place to take a friend from out of town. It was centrally located although a little obscured in the CVS parking lot. The place is new, being open now for only a couple of months. Everyone went out of their way to be attentive and courteous. This went above and beyond good service. The food came out in a reasonable time and everything was tasty. I like the ambiance too. You should definitely check it out if you find yourself in Rancho Bernardo craving Thai food.

Good food with amazing service. The owners here are so nice and accommodating with any requests you make such as using less oil. I would say the food is pretty standard for what you expect to find at Thai places in San Diego. I thought that their portions wee quite generous and the ambience was nice. The place is a bit hidden and hard to find. There is no clear signage from the parking lot and you have to wander a little bit to really find them.

We enjoyed the Delicious fresh rolls with peanut sauce. The shrimp was really fresh and tasty. The Penang curry salmon was excellent with beautifully steamed vegetables. Service was great and the ambience was pleasant. We were impressed with the cleanliness. We will return now that we found this elegant establishment. It was hard to find, but don’t give up. It’s worth it!

Erawan was a bit confusing to find from Google Maps as it used to be Phở Kim which will state itself as closed when you are attempting to get there. But if you are in the parking lot with a CVS Pharmacy/Starbucks, you are in the right place. It is located among the shops — and if you see the fountain Ona S posted — should not be too hard to find. I am guessing they were a bit short handed when we dropped in yesterday so we just seated ourselves after we did not see any one at the table. Like literally no one to ask if we should seat ourselves in sight. I did see a family or two seated around and after maybe like 3 – 5 minutes, the owner(not sure if it was her) came out and thanked us for seating ourselves and for coming out a far way. She was really sweet but there were some moments where I felt a sense of déjà vu of huh? She seemed a bit nervous as times and kept apologizing for some pretty simple things like neglecting to bring the chopsticks out. Mr. W ordered a chicken pad thai while I ordered a chicken pad see ew. The food did come pretty fast and was pretty good. Mr W polished off all his off the plate while I took my remaining to go for lunch today. Prices were pretty reasonable but I did not really feel anything special? Might need to come again to gauge the other food on the menu.

Last night was my second visit to this restaurant. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls, coconut soup, pad Thai and crying Tiger. Everything was delicious and the owners are the nicest people!!! I recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes Thai food, it is the best I’ve ever had!!!

Tonight was my second visit to this restaurant. Earlier this week I took a client here. We were surprised that the previous restaurant was gone, and this new one popped up. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. The owners greeted us. Very nice people. I had the Spicy noodles. The presentation was good and the meal was excellent. Tonight my wife and I ate here after working all day. I liked the Spicy noodles so much I had them again, and my wife had the yellow curry with chicken. Both dishes were prepared well. We eat thai food regularly and I thought this was so far the best. Both dishes, we’re lighter, more delicate than other thai restaurants we frequent. Yet it was not tasteless by any means. Very tasty. You can make this as hot as you like, so don’t interpret light and delicate as weak and tasteless. If you like thai then you’ll enjoy this restaurant.
