This cute place is a diamond in the rough. The owner/cook was incredibly sweet and made a custom burrito and the best homemade chips I’ve ever had! The burrito was so big, I had it for dinner and lunch the next day(with a little left over after that!) I was happy to stubble upon El Tocayo :)

This place is good for a quick food stop. Very lonely but the owner is a very nice guy, our service was great maybe because we were the only people there.

Minus the star. The owner, wonderful, kind person. Food horrible. Tons of flies, ordered chicken burito, recieved beef burito, meat in the buritos was smoothered with sour cream, old rice. tasted like it was left in a pot over night. could not see what was in the burito. Plain on a plate. Ordered milanesa. Y papas. steak deep fried under a dirty oil, fries had tons of black specs of refried food on it… and so on. sad. funny. I ran next door to Dennys. Was sick to my stomach. And I have a very strong stomach. Health Department should really take a look at the place. Before someone gets sick.. And does not recover. Pure tragedy..

This is probably the worst Mexican food I have ever had my entire life. The Carne Asada burrito is stuffed of rice beans lettuce everything except meat. The owner was very nice I have nothing negative to say about him, I just Think that it is very rude to tell someone that their food sucks in person.

The sign says Mexican and Vegetarian food. This restaurant(looks like a taco shop), has delicious food and kind service. Very accommodating. The family that owns El Tocayo are more than helpful in suggestions on what to order. They have a special section of the menu(the regular menu– no the to go menu-) for vegetarians. Just ask for the vegetarian menu. This is an authentic Mexican food place– there is meat served(so, for vege people who don’t like that, you may not want to come). I am vegetarian and my meal soy cakes, came with nopales and rice on the side. The soy cakes had a mild red tomato sauce.(I added salsa). I also ordered a side of(refried)beans. The chips were a little greasy(it’s an Authentic restaurant-they were fresh– so it is to be expected)…also, lard free. I forgot to take photo of vege menu– sorry) Cash only, no credit cards
