Great coffee(and you can get a refill, which makes the price a steal). The gal running it is super nice. The donut I had was delicious! A perfect place to grab a cup of joe while walking around Balboa Park. Will continue to come back.

The matcha drink I had here was one of the highlights of my trip to Balboa Park. I walked all the way from Gaslamp(not recommended, especially when it is like 90 degrees) and was desperately seeking refreshment when I spied a lady with what appeared to be a delicious green tea drink. After some investigation, I isolated the source– Daniel’s little coffee stand. I inquired about the matcha drink and the staff person was super friendly and even offered to make the drink with nonfat milk when I worried it was sugary and caloric. The drink was perfect– lightly sweet with great matcha flavor and tons of ice. I nursed this for some time taking in all the sights. This thing rocked my world. Thanks, Daniels!

If this was totally based on customer service and how yummy my latte was then I’d give this place five stars(shoutout to Gloria slinging drinks faster than Dale Earnhardt Jr. going in circles). Unfortunately this place charges like 6.50 for a latte! Who the f can afford that? I know the rent for that space must be huge but come on now… Business was booming! You guys can afford to knock it down a buck or two.

This is a cute coffee stand in Balboa Park. The line could be long depending on the time of day. Decided to stop by on a beautiful Saturday morning after a great workout. My sister and I were waiting on an appointment with someone so we walked around with some coffee :) I’ve definitely walked by this place a million times! It’s located right next to The Prado. Since I was the only one who had some form of payment on them, we ordered 1 Vanilla Late and 1 White Chocolate Mocha(w/whip), size SMALL… and BOTH drinks were $ 10!!! I’m pretty sure these cups were only 8oz because they looked sooo small. I mean, being one of the only coffee stops around the park, they’re entitled to hike up the prices, but DAMN! In addition to the ridiculous pricing, my latte was sooooo good. I mean you get what you pay for. Any size bigger, would’ve been a dollar more. So i was satisfied with what i got. Glad i got to try, don’t know how often i will lol.

Pretty decent latte cart! A good latte in the hand is worth 2 Starbucks lattes in the bush! Very conveniently located when most needed!

What is it about the coffee in the park that makes it so good??? We came with the intention of going to Gro Café, but when we couldn’t get in I Unilocaled and noticed it was closed down for good. Sad face. My husband then remembered another coffee kiosk on the other side of the park. We made our way over there, through multiple weddings and hordes and hordes of prom-goers. Holy crap, there were a lot of youths there. We finally came upon Daniel’s and ordered two lattes. I could tell they were going to be awesome just by the foam on top and they did in fact prove to be amaze-balls. They also had the pump pure cane sugar and agave syrups that I like. My only complaint is the barista wasn’t too friendly, but I think he was overwhelmed by the sheer number of youths in prom attire swarming around him. I feel ya, dude. Youths are scary.

My husband and I have enjoyed Daniel’s Coffee for years. Whenever we visit Balboa Park we make it a favorite stop. The coffee and pastries are wonderful. We many times take some to work to share with others. The service is warm and friendly and keeps us coming back.

Daniel’s Coffee is an adorable kiosk in Balboa Park that serves your standard overpriced coffee drinks. The quality of the espresso is fantastic, though, and the staff was friendly. Mexican Mocha with soy milk from a cart in the park FTW.
