First off this place is completely overpriced. I paid $ 15 for a 2 pound cup of yogurt. Which is only 1 big cup full… They have a small selection of yogurt but tons of toppings… When I was in high school I applied for a job here. Out of all the people who were interviewed the guy who bragged about being a christian(the religion) got hired because the owners are religious. They only hire religious people… If they are religious why are they ripping off the people of point Loma? And the yogurt is runny. I know this may sound harsh but I’m just trying to be candid.

We wanted something light to eat, so we decided to give this place a try. Not only do they have yogurt, but they also have power bowls, smoothies, and shakes. They have indoor seating only. The tables have a chalkboard coating and there are pieces of chalk available so you can write/draw all over the tables. There was only one employee present at the time we went in. She was friendly, very knowledgeable of their items, and provided quick service. We both ended up getting acai power bowls. They were $ 7 each, which we thought was expensive until we found out each one was 24 ounces! It was a large serving and worth the price. However, it’d be nice if they had a smaller size option. Their acai power bowls had a little bit of a different take to them than most other places. First of all, for the power bowls, you can choose between acai or pitaya(dragon fruit). They use a frozen mix of whichever fruit you choose and then blend it with your choice of juice(apple or mango) or milk(2% or almond). They then top it with granola, banana slices, and honey. Then you get to choose any 3 additional toppings. And, it being a yogurt place, there are plenty of toppings to choose from. We had gotten one bowl made with mango juice and the other with almond milk. The mango was definitely sweeter than with the almond milk, but both were good. We can be critical when it comes to acai bowls, but for a yogurt place, they were pretty good. In regards to the yogurt, they seemed to have a lot of tasty flavors. We’ll be back for more power bowls and to try out their yogurt, smoothies, and shakes. — — — — — — — – Before posting this review, we ended up stopping by another time to try out their yogurt. We both got a combination of peanut butter, double chocolate, and pecan praline. Looks like they have plenty of rotating yogurt flavors. All the ones that we sampled had great flavor and made it hard to narrow down to just a few.

Happy to leave another 4 stars for Cup of Yo. Their Cupcake and Strawberry Kiwi flavors were excellent. The employees were polite. My only very minor gripe was that they were out of freshly cut strawberries. Had some mango instead, which was still plenty yummy. As some other reviewers have noted, there were some yappy college students inside, but this is no fault of the business. Everyone wants some froyo! Thanks for another successful froyo trip!

Ditched the peets next door to come in here to chill and pass some time, did not disappoint. Good flavors, decent folks. What an awesome dude, I wish I had caught his name. Just wanted to give him a shoutout cuz he was so nonchalant about giving decent advice and good service.

This place had a lot of high school or maybe college age kids hanging out it in. It was kind of a weird vibe. I think they have something to do with a religion. I prefer to have a separation of church and fro yo. My fro yo was fine. Nothing special. No need to go back, and I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to go there.

This used to be my favorite place but I don’t know what happened. The place was filthy and the employees weren’t friendly. I think I got out of there with the employee not saying a word back to me. Maybe they’re in training. Maybe they don’t know how to say«hi» and«thank you»? I’m very bummed about this experience because I am all about supporting small business. I’ve been coming here since the place first opened. Based on this experience, I will be going somewhere else. There are many places out there that sell yogurt for much less.

Version 1: Very fun frozen yogurt shop. When you walk in, you see a wall with a huge calendar for the community’s events. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, especially a staff member named Michelle. The flavors offered a wide variety and were all great tasting, as well as the toppings. Cheap and great service, no complaints there! Version 2: Great place for a frozen yogurt or smoothies! A big shout out for Michelle who learned that we are visitors to the area and gave us a hand-written note with a list of places that we should visit for sight-seeing AND dining. All were spot on. Multiple yogurt flavors and toppings offer a wide variety and were all great tasting. Great yogurt and great service is a winning combination!

Delicious! The Greek Honey was probably the best frozen yogurt I’ve ever had. They have tons of toppings… Everything was clean. It was quiet, the girl working was friendly. Honestly no complaints. I will be back!

This is my favorite spot for Acai bowls. Prices are extremely reasonable and they don’t skimp on the toppings. There aren’t many acai bowl places that include additional toppings besides the usual granola/banana/strawberry/coconut flakes combo but this place sure does. The toppings make all the difference here and it’s why they make my favorite acai bowl.

This place usually has a vast selection of flavors and has great toppings. They also have acai bowls which are fantastic. It’s cheap and definitely satisfies a sweet tooth!

Cup of Yo. Gotta love that name! The staff here have always been sweet and friendly. A year or 2 ago, they used to have a bunch of board games that customers were welcome to hang out and play with, but it seems like that’s no longer the case. Like many others have mentioned, the flavors are fairly limited. Not much variety, often do not have dairy-free options, and it doesn’t seem like they rotate their flavors as often as other places do. That being said, their Honey Greek is REALLY good, creamy, and not too powerful. They have a good selection of toppings and always seem to keep each bin topped off. Thanks for being in such a nice location to satisfy my froyo cravings!

At Cup of Yo, you will definitely get your money’s worth with their acai bowls! The workers pile on the toppings and the fruit is always fresh! There are different choices for bass juice and they are all a delicious choice. Highly recommended for an acai bowl in Point Loma

Oh this place… It’s ok. I’ve had better but I’ve definitely had worse! Yogurt machines seem to run a little warm, resulting in semi firm(and nobody likes semi firm!) yogurt that melts very quickly. Flavors are not very flavorful :/Peanut butter and coffe always taste like dirty vanilla. Chocolate is ok but not very chocolatey– I think they need to add more flavor mix or somethin… Pretty good assortment of toppings– but they replaced my beloved fruity pebbles with captain crunch! Not too tasty and it hurts my mouth! Owieee! They also could use more fresh fruits and candy toppins… Overall this place is ok — I wish they had a really good yogurt spot in Point Loma… :sigh: maybe someday…

Just sampling the frozen yogurt places around my neighborhood this is the second one after Fiji, and its not as good. Walked in the door there’s no staff in sight behind the counter look beyond into the kitchen and I see them hanging back there talking no big deal but its weird because there’s like a doorbell ringing when we entered. Its another small froyo franchise that offers a limited variety but at least it seems healthy I was contemplating between blueberry pomegranate and hawaiian(paradise?) The part that irked me this visit was how sticky the floors seemed it didn’t seem like it was mopped much and the cashier seemed so expressionless during the whole transaction even as I gave them a tip leaving me to float around for a brief 10 seconds or so before deciding my transaction was finished and I wasn’t getting a receipt. Cheers!

I must be a Froyaholic, because there’s not a FroYo shop I won’t stop into. While driving to visit the Cabrillo Monument, I noticed«Cup of Yo» out of the corner of my eye. I had to make an illegal u-turn, but was able to backtrack and get my fro-yo fix for the morning. That’s right, it was morning, but it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere, so don’t be a hater. ;-) Unless you’re right around the corner, I wouldn’t make this my destination of choice for frozen yogurt. Some of the yogurts were icy, some of them soupy, and none of them seemed to be just right. I always feel bad sampling and NOT buying, so we got our obligatory few ounces of yo and went on our way. Happy Unilocaling!
