Great store. Staff is nice and polite. No upsell. I dealt with the Manager Jason. Great guy. Hooked me up with extra up front discounts. I went in there for 2 phones with service, he sold me one and a sim kit since my phone was unlocked and he explained that there was really no reason to get another phone.
Cricket Wireless is great since it uses AT&T’s network. Great for all domestic usage. International roaming won’t really work. I was in Alaska where the only major carrier was AT&T and was I was unable to roam on the network.

They gave me a good phone (iPhone 5) for half the price. I switched from Verizon to cricket. The employees are nice funny and VERY HELPFUL. It’s right behind the Denny’s by Mor off Miramar RD. So convenient but I don’t like iOS anymore so they gave me another phone today and it was really awesome I love my samsung galaxy s 4

Cricket has terrible customer service at 800-​Cricket. The agent have extremely poor communication skills to the point you can’t carry on a conversation of any complexity. The coverage traveling outside home area reminds me of the 1990’s

Today, I brought my latest Samsung Galaxy S3 problem to Tahir, and he solved it in about 30 seconds! Starting around Saturday, when I went into the Muve Music program and selected a song, the album cover art for all the songs would flash before my eyes. He knew in a flash (forgive the pun) that the culprit was likely the recent Muve Music update. The problem had happened to him, too! He UNinstalled the latest Muve Music update, then re-​updated the phone, and, voila, a selected song would play just fine.
I am SO disappointed to hear that AT&T’s recent purchase of Cricket will result in their closing some Cricket storefronts, including this one !!! When I have brought my phone issues to the central Cricket IT support people by phone, they have consistently given me useless steps. The first time, with a Swype keyboard problem, the IT person said the «solution» was to switch keyboards to use the Swype vs. Microphone, since one of the two entry modes consistently failed to work in any single keyboard!!! Jamal, in the store, knew better — that the problem was the phone. A replacement phone worked just fine!!! And then, this weekend, the same IT person on the phone suggested I try taking out the battery to solve the Muve Music song playback problem — a useless step. Tahir, in the store, knew better.
AT&T — If you’re listening/​watching this Unilocal thread — Please recognize the talents of your employees and be sure to either keep the current Miramar location or, worst case, transfer the employees to a nearby other storefront. They’re valuable employees, in a world where Customer Service is typically absent.

I took my moms here and taheer/​tahir (I knew I’d mess that up :[) helped us out. Like, really helped. I went to make sure my mom didn’t sign up for stupid contracts or stuff that might get her in trouble cuz she’s, well… OLD! I went for a basic phone for my mom and he didn’t need to upsell her, she did it herself lol. He was super knowledgeable about how the plans worked and had an answer for everything. At the end of the transaction he suggested my mom could apply for a federal lifeline service that would lower her monthly cost even more (lower than $ 35, their lowest plan. This is crazy!). What I liked about that was he didn’t present it like he was judging her or whatever, just being helpful to a nice old lady: D
Whoever needs this service, go to this location. They can do no wrong!

While I didn’t end up getting a bluetooth from here, I can’ help but comment on how helpful they were and most of all knowledgable about their products! I’ll be honest I wasn’t the most optimistic patron walking into a Cricket store as a Verizon Wireless customer but the young man working knew his stuff!
Gotta give them their due as the best cell phone store in San Diego (or at least that I’ve been to!).

I just found this place and am very pleased with the service. I arrived just as the store was literally being closed and locked for the day.
The staffer unlocked the door to let me in and then was very pleasant and helpful, taking the time to help me connect my phone with the new bluetooth accessory I just purchased.
I’m very impressed and will certainly continue going there. I think I’ve found my new Cricket store.
