Learned about The Barbery from Jodi @ NBC 7 on Instagram. She had mentioned that Chelsea is great! I wanted to try somebody new, and Chelsea was fantastic! Quick text confirmation and an appointment 1 hour later for a fresh cut and beard trim. I will definitely be going back! Thanks again!

I just wanted to try somebody new. I read the Unilocal reviews and decided to give her a try. Making an appointment on her website was very simple. I arrived about 10 minutes early and she started right on time. Chelsea listened to what I had in mind, asked a few questions for clarification and went to work. She is very friendly and easy to talk with. She took her time and was very precise on how she cut the differnet parts of my head, — leaving just the right amount to nicely cover up a receeding hair line. I was very, very satisfied the the result. And I look forward to using her in the future.

I only trust Chelsea with my hair! I always leave the salon refreshed and excited for my new cut. The scalp massage and hot towel provided keeps me coming back along with the straight razor cut that is always executed. She trims beards too but I can’t grow one yet… or else I would include that too. I definitely recommend a cut from Chelsea.

I can’t say enough how much I love this girl! She’s been hookin’ up my hair beautifully for the last several years! Her technique and styling is exquisite and she’s so much fun, fresh, and cool!
Chelsea always asks, «What can I do better?!» and makes sure that you’re satisfied with every visit! Yes its a little more than your corner barbershop but stop following the bed head, sweat pant crowd and STEP your hair game up! You’re getting a precise cut (almost always, as much as possible, done exclusively with scissors — NOT CLIPPERS) and having great conversation with one of the most beautiful people I’ve met inside and out!
I remember one time she booked me and another one of her clients subsequent appointments hoping that we would meet and talk because she thought we had the same values. It really goes to show how much care and time she takes in getting to know you and that you’re just not another mame of hair that she has to make look good. She loves what she does, is always trying to learn more about her craft, and works so hard to make sure you leave with full satisfaction!
Make sure you give yourself some time to find parking (free parking on 7^th or paid meters on the other streets) but believe me, giving Chelsea a visit will make your hair happy, make those who see you happy, and ultimately make YOU happy!

Chelcie is amazing and has been cutting my hair for 3 years. I highly recommend her — also you get a classy glass of booze and a head massage.

My new barber. 3 visits and 3 great hair cuts. Quite skillful with a straight edge and scissors she will have you looking your best. She takes her time to get to know you, and provides a non rushed environment. Great conversation and a nice beverage only add to the experience.

Chelsea has been my stylist for well over a year (maybe 2?) now from her first gig, to Tame the Mame, and now here!
Chelsea is awesome! There’s always a beer or whiskey available to sip while you chit-​chat about life, work, or upcoming weekend plans.
The service is just top notch with hot towel massage and scalp massage; you truly feel pampered. My hair always looks awesome when I head home without any complaints from the wife.
Every man should go to Chelsea for anyone looking for a professional hair styling experience.

I’ve seen Chelsea just a few times now but will continue to come back. She is a young master at her craft and is surpriongly knowledgeable about hair and skin. She is genuinely interested I. Giving the best possible cut and it shows. She always finishes each cut with a simple question, «is there anything I can do better?». It’s a simple question and somewhat of a no brainer. But when is the last time your stylist has asked that? She’s super nice and a great conversationalist to boot which is icing on the cake. Plus she has her tools on a silver platter, which is classy and feels a little old school and if you play your cards right there just might be a fantastic cocktail on the rocks for you as well. Last time was Apple pie moonshine for me. Go see her!

After a visit with Chelsea people will say «oh, you got your hair cut?» While it must mean she has done something right because people noticed, the correct response is «no, I didn’t just get my hair cut.» I reply with «I got my hair washed, my scalp massaged, a warm rag on my face, a straight razor shave on the back of my neck, and a hair styling, all while enjoying a beverage of my choice.»
An appointment with Chelsea is a very positive, engaging experience. She makes you feel as if your the only customer she has to work with for the day. I would highly recommended.
