Castle Improvements

My doors were stuck after both cables snapped, and the construction of my garage makes it very tricky to get to the cables. Everything went perfectly, and I’m very happy with the service.
I was offered a same day or next day repair, and the guys showed up on-​time. They quickly took care of the problem and my doors are working better than ever.
The price was less than I expected based on the research I was done, even though this was obviously tricky because of the difficult garage access.

Had two garage doors installed last week. Next day one door would not open or close. Car inside garage stuck. I called Castle and was told I would be contacted to repair. No one called me. I fixed the problem myself.
Next day other garage door bolts fell off and door wont open or close. CALLED COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THEY CANNOT COME TO FIX IT and they must contact Home Depot to get paid to come and fix their shoddy work!
Door still not working over weekend.
Pre inspection visit person told me to cut a corner out of shelf bench near sink which I didso garage door could be installed. Installer said that cut was not needed. I now need to repair the bench!

Company called and gave us a 1 hour window. Came exactly when promised. Our installation guy Larry was quite fast very friendly and gave us a thorough explanation on how to keep our garage door working properly for years to come. Thank you Larry and castle improvements.

Called them this morning and they were able to send someone out right away to look at my garage door. Ryan was their technician. He did a temporally fix to the door and explained everything clear and in details. He wasn’t able to fix my door but did gave me an estimate of what it would cause to get it replaced. He didn’t charge me for the service charge. May still call them to get the door fix. Thanks Ryan.

If I could give zero stars I would. After having our garage door installed on a Monday, we called them on Tuesday to ask for an installer to come out and fix the door which was already not working properly. When we hit the button to close the door it closes ¾ of the way and then immediately re-​opens without us touching anything. This poses a safety and security issue to our home as well as being inconvenient. We were told on Tuesday that a person would come out from 3 – 5. We adjusted our schedule and waited. No one came, and no one even called us. We called the next day (Wednesday) told them what happened. They told us a person would come out from 3 – 5 that day. Again we adjusted our schedule to sit around and wait. No surprises, no one came and no one called. This is even after I called Home Depot to complain and they also called them Wednesday and were told a person would be out. We started calling their office at 4:45 and no one would pick up. (If your business hours are listed as closing at 5:00 PM you should answer your phone until that time, otherwise list your hours as closing at 4:30). Our door is still not working properly and we have had no remedy from this business.
On top of all that when the installer was out, he did not bring the needed lumber that we were told we would have to pay for. He said it wasn’t listed on the paperwork and then during the install proceeded to have a shouting match with what sounded like his manager over some problem with fitting the motor. It is probably why it is not working.
I am hopeful that Adam will contact me through this review and will make a remedy to this issue. If not my next step is to call upper management at Home Depot to complain as well as look into legal remedy. We cannot keep adjusting our schedule to wait around for people who never show, and we cannot have a brand new garage door that does not work, plain and simple.

Adam is great, super easy to work with! Highly recommend Castle Improvements for your garage door needs. He even fixed my old door so that I could use it while waiting for my new doors to arrive.

I have a double and a single garage side by side with all sorts of issues. Castle Improvement replaced my doors and they are QUIET for the first time in 15 years! The workers had their hands full — and yet they were fast, efficient and very courteous. They also cleaned up afterwards — almost better than when they started! I’ve had Castle out to my house twice for separate garage door issues, and each time they’ve been very affordable, thorough, professional and friendly. If/​when I need a new garage door, I will definitely call Castle again.

Its been 2 years since my review on Castle and I thought it would be good to update that we still haven’t had any issues with our garage *knocks on wood*. I think its safe to say that they are beyond just «a-​ok». =)
