These guys are great! Rates are reasonable, service is fast and Jason at the front desk is very professional. I came here several times already (Smog, A/​C refill and changed out a cracked radiator) and each time I got great service and fair pricing. They take walk-​ins which really helps. I will surely go back to them in the future when our cars need servicing again. Will be recommending them to family and friends.

Called them up for a smog check and was told I could get in and out if I brought the car in. Usually you can’t get quality, price and service but here you can. There is no way anyone else in San Diego can touch their smog prices (including any other spot on Miramar).
Great experience. Would definitely consider them for repair work, as well. Had some nice cars with pretty big jobs being worked on and labor rates are reasonable.

Walked in for a smog check. Very good price. Quick service and friendly staff. Noticed a lot of repeat business as staff continuously welcomed customers by name.

Received a DMV smog check notification in the mail and asked around for recommendations. Some family members recommended Brandon Auto and said Jason would take good care of you. This was a very straight forward place with a really competitive price for smog check. It was done in about 30 minutes and they electronically submit the report to the DMV directly. Jason mentioned they offer other auto repair services as well and based on this experience, I will definitely consider them for my car maintenance and repair in the future.
There is another smog check place right next door. I actually went in there by mistake at first, so make sure you are in Brandon Auto Smog Repair Center. Also, be prepared to pay about $ 10 more if you have a SUV or truck. One thing is for sure: Brandon Auto will be my future go-​to place for smog checks.

Called Brandon Auto on my lunch break for a Smog. They had the best price in town or literally in all of SD. They were able to get me in right away and I was out of there in 10 mins. Amazing! I definitly recommend

A friend and I needed to get a cooling system diagnosed on our car last weekend, and after having brought it in and being told we would have to wait two hours, we were happily surprised that within a half an hour our vehicle was checked out. Because of this quick initial service, we were able to schedule repairs for the issues regarding the water pump and radiator (not to mention the oil leak– eek!). On top of that, we weren’t even charged for the diagnosis, which of course we really appreciated!
So, thank you Brandon Auto for your prompt and helpful service — especially after you had dealt with a very rude and unreasonable customer before us!

Very frustrating experience. I needed some
brake pads changed so I called Brandon Tires, spoke to Jason and made an appointment for the following day. We agreed on a price and I was told the job would take 2 hours.
I’m still sitting in the waiting area over 3 hours later and the job is not close to finished.
To me, time is money. If you can’t give your customers a reasonable time estimate for your work (or communicate properly in general), you shouldn’t be working the phones/​front desk. If your business is too busy, you should either not make appointments or tell customers to go somewhere else.
I feel misled and lied to. I will not be coming back here.

I’ve been coming here for years. The smog chip is very cheap and car maintenance is a reasonable price. I’ve gotten my oil changed, transmission fluid changed, and radiator fixed here. It does get busy though but I usually call ahead and come early in the morning. The longest I’ve waited was about 30 minutes before they started on my car.
They do notice things that are broken in your car and will recommend fixing it, but it’ll be up to you to figure out if you really need to fix it. Overall, I’d still continue to come here for their good prices and quick service. There’s also coupons on the website, so be sure to check those out.
Also, there’s two shops here with the name Brandon in it. This one is the one in the deep corner of the lot.

Came for a smog check cause you can’t beat these prices. Definitely the place to come in Mira Mesa.
If you need any other service Brandon is worth checking out. Usually my dad is the one to handle all repairs on family and friends’ vehicles, but he brought our 1989 MPV here and was super impressed (my dad is a hard sell, especially in the service industry). So much so, I guess he’s telling all his friends because I ran into my auntie and cousin here today (getting their transmission fixed).

My dad referred me to this place to get a smog check since it was that time again for the DMV renewal. Looking online, I found a coupon that literally totalled my smog check to $ 24! WOW. They don’t take appointments so it is first come first serve. Their place is a little hard to find but it is between the Evans Tires and Car Audio on the Car Audio side. There was no one ahead of me so they took care of me quickly. I was in for about 20 mins and out I go. The technician was attentive and noticed that I had some work done on my car and asked me about it. Overall, awesome place for your smog needs! Thanks Brandon Auto!
