Ordered the fish and chips. Fish that tasted like microwaved Gorton’s fish sticks and fries that were saved only by the fact that they were crinkle cut which normally is awesome but this time only meh.

Really not worth it with their new prices. I went to school in Boston and I really like lobster rolls, so I was really excited when Bite of Boston first opened a few years ago. It’s always been a little expensive, but we are talking lobster and when they first opened, they really piled it on in the rolls, so you could grin and bear it. I used to visit these guys all the time and whenever my office had a really good quarterly performance, I would splurge and treat the whole office to lobster rolls from B of B. I moved to a different part of town, so I stopped going to B of B for awhile, but this evening, I was in the area, so I had to try B of B. I ordered a lobster roll and a 16 oz clam chowder and was shocked when the cashier told me the price was $ 28.08. I thought she said $ 20.08 which was about what I was expecting, but at $ 28.08 I was really shocked. The cashier told me that the price of lobster rolls had increased, so I went along with it. The clam chowder was good and full of clams, but the lobster roll was so underwhelming. The lobster roll looked like a baby roll and it wasn’t even full of lobster like they were in the old days. I don’t know what happened to these guys — maybe their lobster supply cost went up or maybe they were under priced all along — I don’t know. But at nearly $ 30 for a less than full baby lobster roll and some chowder, I can no longer justify going to B of B. I guess all good things have to come to an end. I hope these guys can make it, but whatever they are doing now is not working.

All I can really say is that I wish they had a location that was closer to home for us. Next opening of a spot please make it in south bay or east county area! :) The sandwiches are huge with huge proportions of lobster if that is what you order, which is what we did. The line was long so this must be the go to for anything Boston or lobster? I have never been to Boston, so I don’t really care about that part of the equation. My part I was interested in was anything lobster. Thanks for an amazing dining experience.

Bike bell rings recede Dusty plastic plants & fortunes Days past photographs. This little shopping center hasn’t changed much since my kid was riding her first bike nearby and looked forward to our visits to Sprouts to get a free balloon. There use to be a Chinese restaurant which wasn’t that good. It was one and done for us. Back when Bite of Boston first opened I gave their fish and chips a try and they were ok. Now my kid has drifted off to college and our trips here are rare. I thought I would try Bite of Boston again. Flash frozen haddock which has texture and flavor like cod. Very light tempura batter had a little bit of crunch. Not much flavor from the fish or the batter. Portion was lunch sized. I could have eaten 2 orders for dinner. Crinkle cut fries had a crunchy exterior and a nice potato flavor. Better than your normal fast food fry. The fish and chip recipe has changed a bit since my last visit but it’s still ok.

A small sandwich restaurant that is very underrated! The sandwiches here are amazing and it’s sad not too many people know about it! Came here one day looking for a new place to eat and I have been a regular! I have tried the lobster roll, phillycheesesteak sandwich, and the cold roast beef toast. The lobster roll was AMAZING. One of the best lobster rolls I have ever tried and very reasonably priced too! I went on a Monday and they had a deal which was awesome. The phillycheesesteak was also very delicious. Lots of flavor to it! I have also tried their cold roast beef sub(there was a deal for cold sub and clam chowder for $ 7) and I loved it as well! But the deal portion was very small like a 4 inch sub. In all of these subs, the bread was great. Very soft and fresh! All of the meat was fresh and very flavorful. I love their clam chowder… probably one of the best clam chowder ever!!! I recommend: — Lobster Roll — Clam chowder

The food here is good and very fresh, but the service i received was subpar. Since it was my first time here, I decided I’d try a bunch of different menu items. I was excited when I saw they were offering a combo as a daily special; a half sandwich, clam chowder, and I drink for around 7 bucks seemed like a good deal and good variety. I added on an order of baked beans for good measure. The Italian sandwich was solid enough, and the clam chowder was delicious. However… The first strike was that I was overcharged for my food; the clam chowder came as part of the combo but I was charged separately for it. They were nice enough about fixing it, though. I feel this was an obvious mistake that should have been caught immediately by the staff instead of me after returning to my table and wondering why my meal was so expensive. Secondly, the baked beans I ordered never came out with the rest of my food. I asked one of the employees to check on it and he vanished for a few minutes until I was able to get someone else’s attention. By the time I got it the rest of my party had long finished eating so I just ended up taking it to go. Food is excellent, service not so much.

Yucky. Filthy restaurant, no toilet paper in the restroom, dirty entryway, dirty backsplash on soda machine, dirty area where you get your cutlery and only a few items in them. The trash bin inside filthy front, the windows are all smudged and the door handle to go out was sticky. Dirty chair rungs. My large lobster roll was pathetic. All stringy bits, no chunks and a burnt bun which was torn. I’m done here. Drove from Oside 5 times to give them the benefit of the doubt. No more. I hope the owners read this.

First timer… I got the lobster roll with the lobster bisque. The lobster roll was alright. It had lots of lobster in it but the taste was so bland. It might just be a personal preference. But it wasn’t bad either, just didn’t feed into the hype. The lobster bisque on the other hand was to die for! It was super delish! So creamy, velvety, perfect seasoning, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Defiantly will be going back! I saw a friend on fb post they went to your restaurant and I like you on fb and started seeing your lobster rolls and I had to try it.

At times when someone gets lost in a city he or she is not too familiar with, it can turn out to be a great experience if your trying to Unilocal the nearest good resturant to get a bite while moving on to his/her final destination. I managed to convince the wife and kid to trust me in Unilocal’N a good spot to dine-in at. The quickest, and nearest place was a bite of Boston. Right when I witnessed they have the word Lobster on their menu I knew I have made a life time decision that will be based on that term alone. I got me the Lobster sandwich, son got the chicken tenders, and wife got her pre-made salad from the salad bar. Of course, either your on a series diet, or on some sort of disorder to order a salad at a place called«a bite of anything». I mean what kinda of a bite does someone get from a salad? anyway it wasn’t my problem nor a battle to get too, but the after facts, the salad was horrible, so please avoid salads. My son’s chicken tenders were yummy, and tasty. He enjoyed it and honestly the kid can eat just like his daddy haha. I managed to steal one piece of his chicken tenders just fro the sake of this review, and it was so damn good, I ended up eating most of it. Okay, my lobster was so good, I honestly can’t recall the detailed satisfying chewing of the sandwich due to the size of it. It was Large, but in three bites it was gone, just like my hotdogs I get at a ball park. but sadly I cant just get another one like I do with my hotdogs the damn things cost $ 15, and I can easily get another 3 and eat’em… I seriously could and will next time i get lost in that part of town. Overall, the place is nice, it has outside seating, and in door as well. We sit outside and the food was served to us outside, which makes their customer services pretty good. The guys are young and seem like really into what they are doing as a passion of theirs, which is the primary reason why this place got 4 star.

Really used to enjoy this place. Clam chowder is still good. Lobster roll is yummy but keeps getting smaller for more money… Go on Mondays, the large one is only $ 1 more than the small one. Philly cheese steak needs more meat.

Came here last week and loved the food. I ordered the 16oz clam chowder and large lobster roll($ 25 total). At first I was surprised by the price but then I remembered that seafood isn’t the cheapest food out. I was full off of just the clam chowder! Wow, so so good. When I saw the size of the large lobster roll I was surprised because I thought it would be bigger but honestly considering the amount of lobster that they include made me think twice. The interior design of this restaurant is really neat. I like the warmth of it and you can tell that the owners are really passionate about what they do. Will return to try the other sandwiches!

8 inch lobster roll. $ 14.50 «Fresh chunks of Maine lobster mixed with minimal mayo and diced celery — stuffed into an authentic, 8-inch, butter-grilled New England-style Frankfurt roll.» Pros: +Good chunks of lobster in every bite +Lightly dressed lobster and celery salad +Delicious toasted buttery bun +Lobster bisque was creamy and tasty. Wouldn’t be able to eat it all myself because it’s too rich. The oyster crackers cut into the richness quite nicely. Cons: –There’s something a little strange about eating a cold lobster salad in a warm toasted buttery bun -$ 14.50 is expensive for the 8 inch lobster sandwich(8 inches is the large size too). I don’t think I have a huge appetite, but I wasn’t quite full. Good thing the fiancé and I shared a lobster bisque.

Okay. I think this is the best lobster roll in town. I haven’t been able to find better. I’d be sad if it went away. One location in San Diego already closed!!! Noooooo… So, go there. Eat the lobster roll! Keep my favorite lobster roll place open!!! :) Thank you! :) PS. In response to the people rating low stars: yes it’s not cheap because it’s LOBSTER people! And a whole lot of it. :) It’s for indulging! If it’s not enough for you, go gorge on the McDonald’s $ 1menu! Don’t put down a lobster roll, a darn amazing lobster roll, because it’s $ 14. I payed $ 20 for a very subpar one in La Jolla proper. BoB lobster roll is just so good. Name one that compares on quality and price. I haven’t found it. Bite of Boston lobster rolls are da BEST.

Service here has always been super friendly — which makes me laugh… because when in Boston, everybody seems cranky to me. I have had quite the sampling of their food throughout the years — like back in the day, 2012. The food has been consistent, and you will find things on the menu which will be your favorite and others which will make you feel like it’s just missing something. For instance, love the prime rib sandwich — but the Philly Cheese is too greasy to me. Or love the Chowda, the Bisque is too rich for me. But whatever you get — it will be served with a smile! I’m currently searching for the best lobster roll in San Diego. I’m originally from the bay area and I had quite a few bomb places to choose from(we’re on a roll, old port lobster shack, sam’s.ect). We were also in Indianapolis a few months ago and stopped by Caplinger’s Fresh Catch. Oh man, best lobster roll I’ve EVER had. So we went ahead and gave this place a try, since a few of my coworkers who were from Boston thought they were decent. Upon walking in, we saw that they had the«Championship Lunch Special» posted on the window. They did win another Superbowl after all! If I remembered correctly, the lunch special included: an 8-inch lobster roll, a cup of their Chowda or lobster bisque with sherry, and a soda for about $ 17.95. We thought that was perfect. We pretty much wanted all of that anyways. My husband went with the chowder and I opted for the bisque. The food came out pretty quickly. The lobster roll was a little bare(it didn’t seem to have very much flavoring), but we found that dipping it into our chowder and bisque made it so much better. The sandwich was also a lot smaller than what I’m used to. Almost half the size, which was a bit disappointing. I think my favorite part of the lunch was the bisque. The service was great. Everyone was really friendly and attentive. We didn’t have any problems looking for parking, and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. Will we be back? Possibly. They weren’t bad, but they weren’t blow your mind good either.

This place is great I love the feel when you walk in tons of sports stuff on the walls and the picnic tables outside are perfect for beautiful San Diego sunshine. My favorite sandwich is here is Ethan’s Prime Rib! The prime rib is so full of flavor and tender and the au jus soaked into the bread… Oh Em Gee perfection! The lobster roll is popular and understandably so, very fresh and that buttery soft roll just makes it! The Chicken Parmesan sandwich is delicious and the«chowda»(clam chowder) well it is a must.

I have enjoyed the north ender and lobster rolls here in the past, but going off the board for the daily tenderloin tips special was a big mistake. The meat was luke-warm, very chewy and had lots of fatty pieces. There was no seasoning and I could barely taste the cheese. Not too mention the grilled onions and peppers were very scarce. I had to add Frank’s wing sauce just to make the sandwich somewhat palatable. Another annoyance were all of the flies buzzing around. If I come here again, I’ll be sure to stick to the main board and bring a fly swatter!
