This branch of Better Buzz Coffee couldn’t offer a better spot or cup of coffee to its customers. Located right between Mission Bay and the Pacific ocean, you sit at the bar by the window and take in the salty sea breeze. The coffee is a little overpriced, in my opinion, but it tastes good at least. You feel so very Californian here, with people strolling in wearing bathing suits and walking their dogs. I will definitely be back here!

I have now visited this coffee house literally every morning of our 6 day visit! I have tried multiple drinks and my favorite is the aptly named«Best Drink Ever!» This is an Americano with vanilla powder added in. I ordered in iced and it was AMAZING!!! It is quite sweet though, so on later visits, I ordered it half sweet. Still awesome!

I love coffee so going to a places that’s as serious about it as I am is amazing, better buzz is definitely one of those places. This particular location has cold brew on nitro– four types. I was kindly offered tastes and explanations of each flavor profile and where they are from etc. I liked them all but sprung for the vanilla coconut flavored one with a splash of coconut milk. It tastes great with out sweetener for those who like just a touch of flavor but want still want their drink to taste like coffee. They also have a ton of different styles of drinks, coffee, tea, smoothies– they do, sweet, bitter, matcha etc as well! Its great food menu and study/work environment. Also, being that I’m a night owl I’m happy they are open until 7– even on a Sunday– happy to serve me even as I strolled through the door close to close. Vanessa was the knowledgeable sweetheart that helped me out this evening– A+ Thank you! a Seattleite coffee lover.

Amazing! This is my place for a morning coffee, the atmosphere is great here, super friendly staff, coffee is always awesome. Get a large latte in a ceramic cup if you’ve got some time to drink it on the spot.

They treat their customers awesome here! Even though they were very busy when I went in, they made sure to take the time and make sure my order was exactly what I wanted! The drink was made quickly and perfectly! I will definitely come back when I’m in San Diego again!

Move over Starbucks! This is our fave go to Coffee spot in mission bay /beach after walking and sailing. They have delicious hot and iced coffee, tea and panini best Sandwiches ever !!! We usually get acai bowls, lattes and green matcha drinks. We are such a huge fan of Better Buzz!!! Highly recommended definitely will give you a buzz! Good CS friendly and they also have a wifi. The only negative is the Parking always a nightmare here in mission bay/beach. Overall, coffee perfection ;) and we are obsessed. They also have other location in Garnet, Rosecrans, & Fashion valley. Please open a location in South Bay por favor !!!

Hands down my favorite coffee chain in San Diego! I am OBSESSED with their blended mint mocha and could drink it daily! Service is nice, prices are fair and the quality is great. Drinks come out super quickly and are made to perfection. I hope they expand to OC and LA soon so I get to enjoy their delicious coffee more often!

Better Buzz Coffee is the best. No acidity taste like other establishments. I ordered a Best Drink Ever and an Islander Acai bowl. Amazing! On top of that the staff is super friendly. You know a place is good when locals/regulars are welcomed by their first name. Doesn’t happen much nowadays. Hopefully they open a spot in LA to enjoy.

One of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. This little spot is the perfect place for a wake up call of caffeine. Ordering was quick and painless and the coffee came out fairly quickly being that it is handcrafted goodness and not a quick drive thru experience. I ordered the Moroccan Iced coffee and my partner ordered a Killer Bee. My iced coffee was perfectly sweet with some spices including cinnamon and clove. The coffee is high quality and you don’t get a burned bean after taste or fake flavors masking the taste. They use incredibly high quality ingredients to flavor their beans. The Killer Bee was also flavorful and the barista added a little vanilla to it making it even better. You don’t realize you have had bad coffee until you taste perfectly crafted coffee and never want to go anywhere else. The staff was friendly, helpful and kept up conversation while we waited for our drinks. The décor was warm and inviting full of natural wood and I thought the pallet on the wall full of succulents was inspiring for my next project. I look forward to getting my next caffeine fix at Better Buzz!

This place is relatively harder to find parking compare to the one in pacific beach. However, there’s better food and the decorations of the café is much better! It’s much bigger and has better atmosphere! PS: bring a jacket since it’s kinda cold with the open window if you want to work there :)

Went there for the first time and ordered a cappuccino. Made perfectly by the tall red-headed guy with a buzz cut. Milk blended perfectly. Not bitter at all. So refreshing to find a place that makes really good cappuccinos while on vacation. The next day I brought the family I ordered the same thing but it was made a different person(short woman with black hair) at it tasted like something from Starbucks. Burnt tasting, bitter, milk over-frothed with only a bunch of foam sitting on top. The owner should make sure there is some consistency with their products. I will probably try them one more time. Minus one star for zero parking.

Oommmmmgggg you have to try the avocado toast. It comes with feta and tomatoes and a side salad. Coffee is cold pressed so not bitter. Very well done. The vanilla latte also rocks. Only complaint is noise level, but I’m an old cranky bat.

The lattes and food are decent but the long lines and slow service are painful to endure. If anyone from Better Buzz is listening — please add more staff.

A good spot to study! — FREEWIFI, but had to ask for password — OUTLETS exist! — SEATAVAILABILITY: Decent! At least, there were tons of seats available when I went, but it was near closing. Which brings me to the next point… — They close at 7pm– not the bizniz if you really want to be on that study grind. — AMBIENCE: perfect. They play the best music and I personally love the busy-ish background noise. — TIPS: Bring a jacket because the windows are open. Also, if you can’t find a spot, try the street called Santa Clara which intersects with Mission Blvd. It leads to beach parking which is not a far walk from Better Buzz. — MYTOPPICK: The white mocha buzz never disappoints. When I went they gave me a large when I paid for a regular(score!) The only downside was that it was more diluted. It was fun people watching! Tons of picturesque SoCal natives that made me crave for summer. Since this location is by the beach it won’t be hard to chill nearby buzzed with the best coffee ever. 4 stars because I’m used to a better quality(the drink I got was a bit mushy and diluted, as I mentioned), and I was bummed that it closed so early. But study wise, the vibe doesn’t get better than this.

Great study spot to post-up and enjoy some sweet treats. PROS: The Coffee– I’m a big fan of the Best Drink Ever. It’s basically an americano with their vanilla powder in it. Caffeine can make me a little crazy sometimes, so the decaf espresso is a perfect option. The Beach– This spot is right across the street from Mission Beach. It’s bayside but within walking distance of both the beach and the bay. It’s perfect for walking around when you need a quick break. Atmosphere– It feels good inside of this Better Buzz. It’s all open aired with lots of great seating options. CONS: The People Loitering Outside– It’s not their fault that Mission Beach can get hit by its fair share of crazies. Last time I was there, there were people on drugs outside who kept bothering patrons as they walked in and out. Finally, the liquor store owner next door threatened to call the police or else they would have continued to stay there shouting at the people walking in. The Music– The music can be a little loud so don’t forget to bring head phones if you really want to focus!

I’m so glad I found this place. Super cute coffee shop on Mission. I’ve tried the caramel latte, mint mojito, and the best drink ever. They were all amazing. The mint mojito is smooth, creamy, sweet, refreshing, while still having a distinct coffee taste. The best drink ever is an americano with vanilla… sounds simple but it blew my mind. It was SO good. Not too bitter or too sweet. The caramel latte was ok… it’s better than Starbucks but nothing too crazy special. Can we please get a location in SJ? That would be awesome :)

Cute spot. They definitely follow certain national coffee chains on the whole holiday coffee thing(I was very tempted by a gingerbread latte listed with other holiday-themed stuff). Great service — I ordered the Moroccan spice off the Shaken Bar and didn’t realize it would be an iced drink. I brought it back to the counter to say that and they immediately offered to make it a hot drink, without me even asking! * Moroccan spice(americano w/raw sugar, moroccan spic, e a dash of heavy cream. $ 4.45 regular) — 4 stars Great, actually full of spices and not just sugar. The heavy cream is a nice dash of something cool on top.
