Bear’s Tires

This is my favorite place to buy tires. The service is great and not to mention the price! I recommend this place. The price is reasonable!

Thought I would try this place due to ratings. Tried calling getting a quote, person who answered could not speak English only Spanish, then transferred me to a real jerk who answers the phone all upset and felt I was bothering him with my business, I guess it actually requires customer service to actually make money. I just hung up on him and now looking at buying at Costco which is like 30% at least cheaper.

These guys are super awesome. Very nice, polite, and patient. Worked fast. And got my tired sealed up and tire pressure taken for free, I will definitely recommend this to everybody I know.

Great service, very friendly staff, and prices are reasonable! I went in to patch a tire one day and it was $ 8. I only had $ 6 cash so wanted to use my card but Mike said $ 6 was fine. Went in a few more times afterwards for rotations and will continue going when I need my next set of tires.

My friends tire popped and we had no idea where to go. Found this place on Unilocal and called them to make sure they had the tire. The price was amazing for a used tire and they were super quick with switching it out. Definitely will be back if ever around the area and I need tires.

I’m doing a cross country trip of the U. S and really needed a change of tires because the treading was becoming dangerously low.
This place was able to help so quickly I was thoroughly impressed. The service was awesome and these guys were a pretty friendly bunch would definitely drop by if I’m in San Diego and needed car service again!

Emailed Bear’s tires for a quote on Saturday and Michael emailed me right back, answered all my questions and gave me a great price. I stopped by lunchtime on 5÷23÷2015 and an hour later i was on my way. Great service, nice bunch of guys. No more ‘Discount Tires’ for me!

My new go-​to for tires! Great prices matched with prompt, honest, knowledgeable and helpful service. I spoke with Mike on the phone and he took the time to explain my tire options at various price points. I was prepared to buy 4 new tires (I was strongly encouraged by another chain tire store to get 4 and for more $$ per tire…), but when I showed up I was told I had at least 6 more months on my back tires, yay! I had no appointment, and I was still in and out on a late Saturday morning with 2 brand new tires in 45 minutes. Very straightforward, helpful, no up-​selling experience! I’ll definitely be back for my tire needs. Thank you, Mike and crew!

They were excellent! In and out with new tires, and the give free rotations every 5K miles.

I’ve been here a few times as my new VW hybrid apparently loves it’s flat tires. The part that I love the most about this place is how honest these guys are. They’ll take the time to show you what the problem was and give you options on how to fix it. For having walk in appointments only, I’m always in and out relatively quickly. They’re fast, smart, and not trying to scam you out of your life savings.

Great customer service! Been here twice for a flat tire, and the workers were fast to assist me. Because my 19″ tires weren’t available at the shop, they had to order them for next day delivery. I came back the next day after work and within 30 minutes, my flat was repaired and I was ready to go. The workers are very honest with the repairs and they really do help you figure out what kind of tire (s) best fit your car and wallet. Awesome!
And the best part is: if there’s a long wait for your car repair, you can just walk down the street to Rough Draft Brewing Company to grab a beer while waiting! Please drink responsibly :)

Been here a few times and recently was in the market for a new set of tires.
I usually call but for the first time I tried their website (really easy to navigate) to find my size and was able to request a quote. Michael (owner) was very quick to reply back via email along with a few recommendations on tires. The tire i wanted a quote on was not in stock but surely enough there was something just like it at a great price and tire rating that Michael had suggested.
Atmosphere:
Small place; about 3 places in the garage for tires to be changed out.
Lobby/​waiting room available (about 8 chairs) with TV & soda machine.
Service:
Excellent customer service; but wait can be an hour+ depending on how busy they are.
no appointments. first come first serve & 12k warranty on brand new tires purchased at Bears.
Overall:
Bears provides all your tire needs with excellent service and very competitive lower prices.
Highly recommended.

Extremely reasonable price for fixing my tire leak!
Would have gladly paid double but since it was so reasonable, I’m recommending Bear’s to my coworkers and friends from here on out.
Also the ETA given to me was spot on. I didn’t have to hang around only to find out it would take longer than stated.
Plus, they set the pressure on all my tires without me asking them to. My Prius seems to drive and handle better than ever in recent memory.

I’ve been coming here for years. Since I was in high school when the location was half the size it is now. It’s always been the place to go for me to get my tires. I rarely ever buy new tires without coming here first to see what they have. And I hardly ever get brand new tires, I usually get used ones. I know, I know. Used tires? Blasphemy! But the tires they have here are always in good shape with good tread on them still. And they’re usually half the price of brand new tires. I’ve never had an issue with the tires or service here. I’ll keep coming back as long as they’re around.

I’m normally a discount tire kind of guy just because they have so many locations if you ever need service pretty much any where you go but the manager here Mike Powers was such a nice guy answering all my questions and emails that I wanted to make it work to patronize this shop. I ended up saving an extra few hundred bucks on the SUV tires I needed and even though I arrived at 435pm on a Monday they still had me out by 525pm. I like to patronize the smaller ships when I can and this is one shop I believe you can trust to give discount tire a run for their money on price and customer service. Chalk one up for the little guys.

Having a flat tire in rush hour is a really stressful event. It’s important not to rush to someplace and buy tires… Don’t be desperate… Do your homework.
I usually go to discount tires and have always had a good experience there… but, always end up spending A LOT of Monies…
When my boss showed up to where I was he immediately brought up Bear Tires and wanted to take me there to replace my tire. (but, my new KIA didn’t come with a spare or a jack and I was waiting on KIA roadside) I had him just drop me off at work so I could re-​group. get work done and do some homework on tires.
I called around… I have to Say that Michael the owner was extremely nice. Quoted me all of the options I brought up. (I was asking about– replacing 3 – 4 tires with new or used as well as just replacing the one tire with new or used.
My Kia– Roadside would only take me to a dealership and was going to charge me 70.00 to take me to Bear which was 8 MILES AWAY!!! So I re-​joined AAA and had them take me. With traffic and the issues he had getting my car on the tow truck we got there after closing.
Michael had advised that they would be working late and we could knock on the back and they would let me put my car inside and they would fix my tire in the morning.
Got there… it’s in a really commercial area so no restaurants or anything I could easily walk to. Tried to talk the tow truck driver into dropping me off someplace. (he didn’t really respond and pretty much took off as fast as he could!) LOL
So I’ve never taken UBER but, didn’t want to stress so thought I’ll try them out. When giving my info the owner for him to be able to call me the next day he asked if I had another car out there to go home. I explained I was going to take an UBER. Although he had so much to do (as he’d told me over the phone they were staying late) he said. we will do it now so you don’t have to worry about it. I can NOT explain or express the feeling that came over me. (I WAS NOT expecting them to fix my tire that night) It was like he put the Cherry on top of my day for it to end WAY better than it started!
I’m a Midwestern gal– and have to be honest… felt like I was back in the Midwest!!!
I would refer Bear tires anyone and have shared on My FB.

I’m sorry for the gal that lives in Vista (I do to) that had one of her tires go flat… but, the fact the owner/​Manager replaced it with a new tire is pretty awesome. (when you’re buying something used– it’s usually an as is situation) right?
Whomever mentioned the waiting room– Ok– they are going to improve it but, honestly. That is not a reason to hold back on stars!!! the 5 stars should be for service/​price/​quality. Not where you sit ant wait… (just my opinion… everyone has one!) ;-)

Really can’t say enough good things about these guys! Fast, quality, inexpensive service and tires. We came here on Saturday right at 8:30 for opening, and we were seen as soon as they opened the garage doors.
My girlfriend’s tire had a steel rod in it, and I brought it in, and they were able to check if it was okay within a couple of minutes. We were using the spare, so I was going to replace it myself, but they insisted on bringing the car inside the garage so they can change it out. It took no more than 5 minutes, including checking all the tire pressures. All at no cost. My girlfriend’s dad was also there to get a replacement for his busted spare donut. They took the busted one in, changed it out and was done in less than 10 minutes. We were all done by 8:15!
Will definitely by my first choice for future tire needs!
