Just the name implies, the burgers here are fine. I kinda laugh a bit when I saw the hangover burger, massive– Yes, delicious? Yes. You could say that this place is better than any fast food that you know that serves burgers. Even the onion rings here are good, I just smiling when I ate the massive burger and the fantastic rings. Love it.

I have been to the Original Annies in Santee a dozen times and they never dissapointed. Great burgers there with lots of fries. This is the first time I have been to this location since my company located me two blocks away. Was excited to see Annie’s close by. It turned out to be a disappointment. I ordered my burger medium and was expecting it to take at least 5 — 7 minutes to cook, but they gave me my burger in two minutes. That made me skeptical. I got the burger to go and the burger look like preformed patties and I know that burgers take a lot longer to cook than too minutes. The burger i requested as medium came out very rare. Those burgers also are a mess. Take one bite and it all falls apart. I think I will try the other options for lunch and stick to other burger places I know that are consistent

Anny’s Fine Burger is in a bad location… I don’t know how else to put it. However, it’s worth going out of your way to get here. It’s one tasty burger! The ½ pound burger is huge! I get it with bacon, avocado, and pepper jack cheese. It really does beat places such as Burger Lounge, Smash Burger and(I hate to say it) In n’ Out… for those of you who really enjoy it. Ann’s Fine Burger is worth going out of your way to get to, and it’s delicious.

First off, I’ll admit the reviews sold me. I tend to trust Unilocal reviews very often. This restaurant has quite a following. Maybe my visit was an off night. I ordered the hangover burger, which doesn’t come with any fries. That sucks. A lot. Comes with burger patty, potato slices, fried egg, pickles, etc,… Normal burger condiments. My fried egg was so over cooked. I appreciate a perfectly cooked egg which is when the yoke is not solid. I expected it to spill out as I bit into the burger. So disappointed. When I was at the restarting the cashier was rude. Should’ve been the first flag, just figured she was a bitchy type. Idk, maybe I’m too critical but when I spend $ 18 and change for a to go order of burger and fries… It should be perfect! That is expensive. Overall. Management should start investigating quality and check on employees more often. Maybe do the whole mystery boss thing to see how they act. Not impressed. Never going back.

Oh Anny’s Fine Burgers how I wanted to love you! All my friends and coworkers love you, why wouldn’t I also love you? 1 is that you serve Pepsi, not Coke and 2 is the bland meat. The first time with you I ordered a cheeseburger and regular fries. Everything was fresh but not very tasty. I put a lot of salt in my burger and so did my friend. She had the gorgonzola burger and sweet potato fries. Both fries were good although I prefer my fries skinny. I don’t get why both potatoes aren’t cut the same size. Make them both the size you serve the sweet potato! OK so I had to come back and order something different. I chose the California burger with no onions NOONIONSNOONIONS and my sister ordered a mushroom garlic burger. We each got fries and drinks(thankfully they have Dr Pepper as an option to Pepsi). The bread was so fresh but what do I see sticking out of my burger? Red onions! I remove the top bun and low and behold there are TONSOFFREAKINGONIONS& A DRY, WELLDONE, PIECEOFMEATBROKENINPIECESFROMBEINGOVERCOOKED! !!! I’m not one to send food back for fear of what I may get as a replacement so I sucked it up. Again, I poured half of the salt in the shaker on my bland, dry, overcooked piece of meat. Even the bacon couldn’t save the meat by adding flavor. It’s just bland! Don’t get me started on the cheap, tomato in my burger. That was barely edible. I don’t buy those tomatoes for a reason! Anny. .I know you got it in you to make the burger taste as good as pictured. I really want to love you. I won’t give up on you. Maybe the third time is a charm. We shall see.

I got the bleu cheese burger in a lettuce wrap and forgot to specify that I wanted my patty cooked medium rare. My patty was a little dry and the burger didn’t come with any sauces so everything tasted more underwhelming than I’d expected. Portion sizes are generous here and although they were busy during the lunch hour, the food didn’t take too long to arrive. The salt and pepper fries are thick and the perfect consistency. Shakes looked amazing as well. Service was friendly, next time I’ll forgo the healthy option and get the burger the way Anny’s originally intended, as I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed the burger way more with the brioche bun. Prices are reasonable and they have daily specials. They also serve beer here.

First time here on the recommendation of a friend. Had the Texas burger today — fantastic barbecue sauce, amazing bacon, and can actually taste the beef — something which I enjoy a lot about a good burger. Had some of my friend’s fries, which were fried to perfection — crispy on the outside but soft and not dry on the inside! Pretty decent beer selection is always a plus, and nice open patio seating!

From the outside, this joint doesn’t look like much, but inside is very welcoming, clean and comfy. Had a bacon cheeseburger lettuce wrap with fries and a glass of Angry Orchard for lunch yesterday. It was a very good burger, juicy, decently cooked and not too big or small. Excellent bacon-chewy and smoky, I hate thin, overcooked bacon slices. Fries were tasty, I think that they might be lightly battered. Bill was about $ 19.00 with decent tip. Would go back any time I’m in the area and hungry for a good burger. Parking in the lot gets VERY full at lunch time, so try to get there early.

I got the Salmon steak burger– exquisite! The boyfriend got the Texas burger– one thumb up because he is in a food coma he says. Great atmosphere. Wall décor is on point. Staff is awesome. Food portions are huge. Lots of options all sounds delicious. Can’t wait to come back! Honestly, you don’t even need the delicious fries the burger alone will fill you up.

I seriously love this burger joint. It’s always really juicy and worth every penny if you are prone to craving burgers once in a while. As you walk in, the dark chilled atmosphere has music playing, they never mind changing your burger toppings if needed, no attitude and it’s super tasty. 6.99 gets you a ¼ burger with fries, and cheese, that is a good price in San Diego. Flavor and value lives here.

Anny’s is one of the best burger places in San Diego. My friend and I hit the place at about Noon, just before the big lunch rush. Eventually a line formed, but we were already eating by then. It’s a counter-order type of place, a runner finds your number and delivers the food to your table. I had the(grassfed angus) Bacon Cheeseburger($ 7.50), and so did my friend. We split the large plate of Garlic Fries($ 4.50), and refillable soft drinks ran $ 1.85. A minor point, but Filippi’s just south on Kearny Villa Road charges almost twice as much for soft drinks. The burgers were fabulous and huge. I forgot to specify how I wanted the meat cooked, but somehow, the burger came perfectly cooked. It was mouthwateringly good, if just a bit messy to consume. It’s OK, there’s a napkin dispenser at the table. You will need it. The fries, on the other hand, were disappointing. They were overpriced to begin with, and served at room temp, maybe slightly warmer, and weren’t finished. Cost a star. The noise level was almost to the point of being unacceptably high, due to the hard surfaces everywhere, except the ceiling, which had acoustic tiles. However, the acoustic properties of the tile were nullified by a coat of black paint. The interior is fairly stark, as is the strip-center exterior, and the walls are lined with color portraits of…You guessed, it, Burgers. I look forward to returning, since their burger menu is quite appetizing. Plus, there are several variations on the fries and also onion rings to try. I’m a fan.

Brioche bun cheeseburgers with seasoned bacon cheese fries enough said. Having a burger of this quality in throwing range is amazing. To be honest I’m not sure if I like the fries or the burgers better, both are excellent. I do recommend swithing to the brioche bun as it holds up much better. Even their standard crunchy fries are golden and delicious. In and out is cool… but you will find me here instead during business hours.

If you like burgers, try this place. The prices are reasonable and the burgers are HUGE. I tried the Sand Dune which the idea of teriyaki sauce on a burger sounded strange but it was a very nice if not a mellow addition to the taste. This is not one of those high end burger joints, it’s just a friendly staff serving tasty food in a comfortable environment. If you’re in the area, give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Tucked away in a small shopping center, you might get distracted by all the other restaurants in the area. But don’t pass this place up too quickly. The exterior of Anny’s Fine Burger looks a bit discouraging, but remember ‘You can’t always judge a book by it’s cover.’ You will be pleasantly surprised when you walk in, as I was. There is plenty of seating indoors and they have a covered patio for outdoor seating as well. The décor is nice and clean. We ordered our food and didn’t have to wait too long until our food was brought to our table. FOOD — Garlic Mushroom Burger($ 7.50): Garlic sauteed mushroom, Swiss chese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and garlic mayo. I didn’t try this, but this is my sister’s second time ordering this burger because she likes it that much. I don’t care too much for mushrooms, but the burger looked appetizing. — Salmon Burger($ 8.50): Grilled wild Alaskan salmon steak, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickle, and lemon mayo. I was expecting a patty with salmon in it, but I was surprised that it was just good ol’ salmon. The lemon mayo was pretty tasty too… complimented the fish very well. Oh, and did I mention that it was served in a brioche bun?! Win. Brioche is THE best! — Crispy Fries($ 1.99): Yup, crispy for sure! They tasted like Lay’s potato chips. Very addicting! haha SERVICE Friendly and helpful! Thank you for providing such great customer service and a good experience! INFO There were plenty of other burgers on the menu that I wanted to try. Also, their choice of gourmet fries sounded yummy. I’ll definitely be back to give them a taste :)

Walked in and there was no one else in the restaurant. You order from the counter and you choose a seat and they bring it out to you. I got the hangover burger with sweet potato fries. At first glance the burger was huge and and looked really appetizing. Once I picked it up I knew that this burger was going to be greasy. I felt disgusted majority of the time but I’m not a fan of wasting food. The chips was greasy, the eggs were as well, and somehow they managed to get the bun greasy. I could feel myself breaking out as I eat it with all the grease. It wasn’t a bad burger, but nothing really stands out with flavor. Altogether it was mediocre, but the burger is pretty big for the price, so if you prefer size over flavor this is for you. I will definitely spend my money somewhere else when craving a burger. UPDATE: I broke out the day after!

I had this place bookmarked, it was lunch time and I was in the neighborhood so perfect time to try them out. They are conveniently located right off the freeway and there seems to be plenty of parking. You order up at the counter and they will bring you the food. They have a wide variety of burgers and I went with the Anny’s Double Burger which comes with two big beef patties, plenty of melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and red onion on a bug bun. I also ordered a side of onion rings and iced tea. There are two dining sections, one indoor and the other is outdoors but covered. The outdoor was better lit and had a great breeze coming through it on a very hot day. I didn’t wait long before they brought out my plate and I was stunned by the size of the burger… it is massive! I probably should have ordered the single patty instead of the double. The beef patties were covered in cheese and was perfectly melted. Although they didn’t ask how I wanted the burger patties cooked, they came I would say medium and were absolutely perfect. Not too done but just right. The onion, pickle, tomato and lettuce were all fresh as was the bun it came on. They use 1000 Island Dressing which was perfect but there’s also mustard and ketchup on the tables. The onion rings were fresh battered and fried. Pretty crisp and great taste. They offer different dipping sauces for the fries or onion rings. Overall, this is one of the best burgers in San Diego but I could only finish half because it is so huge. Next time I’ll go for the single patty and I want to try some of their other flavors. On the negative side: it says«fresh brewed» on the iced tea dispensers but it’s instant and instant is horrible. I cannot understand how any restaurant in SoCal serves instant tea. Even McDonald’s serves fresh brewed iced tea. — They use styrofoam for the to-go containers. This is a major point for me when rating a place and they lose a full star for this fact alone. I have done a price comparison for recyclable to-go containers versus the styrofoam that they use and at most it would cost them about 15 cents more per container. And that’s looking at prices online. I’m sure if they contacted the manufacturer and were a regular customer they could work that price lower. Anny’s, it won’t be long before CA passes legislation to ban styrofoam. It may have recycling symbols on the packaging but you CANNOT recycle styrofoam in San Diego. Be a part of helping to protect the environment and switch to recyclable containers.

Happy National Burger Day! I ordered a California burger with a fried egg. Great burger! Wish the egg was runny but the taste was great. We ordered a mint shake after dinner and it was more like a vanilla shake. I think they added mint extract but you really couldn’t taste it. Love the service here, everyone is super friendly and really seems happy to be at work! One of the best burger joints!

Looking for a greasy good time and sick of the usuals? Head over to Anny’s — I swear by the meat sweats as you shame walk back to your car. They have so many different burgers to choose from. I was Unilocaling an hour before arriving here and still ended up with the bacon cheeseburger with extra grilled onions(YES, that means both raw and grilled on mine… yums). The burgers here are HUGE! Unilocal photos do a pretty good job of showing the accurate size, however I simply forgot those images as I reviewed the menu once I actually arrived. If you plan on splitting your burger, ask them to do it for you because cutting my own bacon cheeseburger in half was a nightmare. My bacon cheeseburger was so good — the meat was so juicy, the bacon maintained it’s crispiness, onions were on point. I could do with crunchier lettuce, but overall I enjoyed every bite! We also ordered the garlic parmesan fries. Pretty average. Still delicious, but nothing special. Knocking it down to 4 stars because the restaurant seemed a lot bigger than the business they brought in. Felt a little exposed eating there because of all the empty space. The employees here were super chill, laid back, attentive, and not at all in-your-face… which is perfect for gorging. Sauce all over my face and fingers and not once did I feel ashamed. If you’re on the hunt for the best burger in San Diego, this place is worth a try.

My Garlic Mushroom Burger for $ 7.50 was scrumptious and huge! I didn’t realize it was a ½ lb of beef! Couldn’t finish it. This luscious burger is smothered in fresh mushrooms sautéed in garlic, melty Swiss cheese, tomato, a big piece of fresh lettuce, red onion and garlic mayo. Wow! All of Anny’s beef burgers are fresh-never-frozen– Grass-Fed Angus Beef, and the 5″ brioche toasted buns are good. My salt & pepper fries were perfect… hot, fresh, and with the right balance of crunch outside and tender potato inside. The kids meal cheeseburger for $ 5.50 is a generous size, and Anny’s is my granddaughter’s favorite cheeseburger. She likes it with bacon added, and cheese, tomato, pickles, and thousand island dressing. Our meals were definitely 5-star burger meals. The one suggestion I have for improvement is that the ladies bathroom definitely needed cleaning, and in fact could also use a remodel. Also it’s a big restaurant, but there’s only 1 ladies toilet. The staff was helpful and friendly. They asked us if we enjoyed our meals. While this was my first visit to this Kearny Mesa location, I’ve visited the Santee location of Anny’s several times.
