Good family fun. Kids of all ages everywhere. We just found out about this event yesterday because our friends live in the hood. Parking is free and there’s an ATM near the food vendor area. There’s a few carnival rides and games of chance, along with inflatable obstacle courses and slides. Tickets go for a dollar each, but some attractions require several tickets. Lucky me, I got my first vinyl burn sliding down an inflatable with my kid. Blister? Nope, just a quarter-sized patch of skin rubbed right off. Good times. Food vendors this weekend covers the gamut: corn dogs, kettle corn, Mexican food, Filipino food, BBQ(traditional and hawaiian style), sausages, hamburgers. They also have fair favorite snacks for your sweet tooth: ice cream scoops, churros, funnel cakes, shaved ice, and tropical smoothies. On Friday night, we checked out 80s cover band, Checker’d Past. They played a great set as we watched our little one jump around to the music and dance with a group of cougars and manthers by the stage. Tonight’s headliner is Beatles cover band, Help! Maybe we’ll go check out the beer garden.
