Good way to start your day. The menu is somewhat healthy but the staff is super accommodating… highly recommend if you are at San Antonio airport

This is the type of place you are lucky to run into at an airport– especially a smaller one! I stopped in for a breakfast juice and just asked the girl working at the bar to make me something delicious, and she did not disappoint. My juice(more like a smoothie) was thick with freshly blended fruit and berries and tasted deliciously refreshing. A really nice healthy break from the more heavy breakfast options.

This is one of the best Mexican meals we’ve had all week here in SA. We both had tortas – one with bistek and one with grilled fish, both cooked to perfection, and cheaper than the Riverwalk restaurants. The margarita was excellent too!

Great surprise to find this spot with healthy options at the airport! The salad I got was huge and all fresh ingredients.

Best restaurant in airport. Healthy food and great margaritas!!! Finally!!! They should have had this a long time ago. Other restaurants are crap compared to this place.

Fresh, delicious, and, dare I say, healthy– at the airport?!! Yummy! Oh, wait– AND reasonably priced! I don’t know if it’s the contrast to the terrible Riverwalk options I just suffered for 4 days, but I’m in love right now…

Great food at the airport! Hard to find because the directional signage was wrong when I was there. A pleasant escape from the usual offerings!

I have never seen a Fruteria, but the fresh food, fruit-centric theme at a quick-service restaurant fascinated me. I had an Torta Al Pastor, which is a usual favorite of mine. It was good, but nothing mind-blowing. The bread is tougher than I usually like, but I thought that the addition of finely chopped pineapples was a fun spin. I had a bite of the Torta Bistec Especial, which was good for a heavy meat torta, and quite cheese-y. The house-made kettle-style chips that comes as a side, and come with the salsas, leave a void in my heart. Salsas and guacamoles just taste better with corn tortilla chips, and not potato chips. I also had the fruit cup with chili and lime. The portion was outstanding, but was heavy on the lime and light on the chili. There was a good variety of fruit; melon, banana, various berries, pineapple, and mango. Dining at San Antonio Airport, service isn’t anything to write home about. The wait staff was friendly enough, but a little bit distant and unconcerned. For some reason, airport service in any restaurant always seems to be slow, even though it should be extremely quick. So ultimately, my Fruteria experience was good enough. Given the opportunity, I might be convinced to try it again, but at an actual full-service location.

Great service, delicious juices, and filling and tasty breakfast tortas. We ordered two juices, both were clean and refreshing start to a day. The torta had fluffy scrambled eggs, chorizos and papas. If you aren’t a big eater your an definitely share a sandwich or quesadilla. Muy rico

The worst airport option in SA. I love the idea of bringing local restaurants into the airport, but I don’t need a side of terrible airport service. If you can serve a lukewarm torta, with a pissy attitude when you only have one customer then you could have a future career here.

Sorry I stopped. Thinking fresh Mexican and getting greasy chips with no taste and a bland queso stopped me from ordering anything else. Even the 2 people next to me at the bar aid it was«strange» I didn’t finish either and wished I went down the other terminal before choosing. Server did a nice job handling a full place but the«manager» maybe(?) only walked around. I would suggest helping the guy out next time Pedestrian margarita.

One of the healthiest and most appealing airport restaurants I have ever seen! As expected, it’s slightly more expensive than a McD’s breakfast– but isn’t that feeling that your stomach won’t implode just priceless? Breakfast selections include juices, fruit parfaits, tortas, and tacos(being San Antonio and all– they love their breakfast tacos here!) The service is friendly, even at ungodly hours, and the décor is ridiculously bright and cheerful.

From the welcoming bright pink and green to the suave music playing in the background the breakfast and ALL natural fruit smoothie, I give this place a high five! Truly authentic food and environment.

Likely the best option in San Antonio airport terminal A. I had the Bistec Especial torta. Overall it was very good, very flavorful, however the chopped steak had some quality issues with chewiness. Overall, this will be my spot going forward if I am in need of a meal when waiting in a flight.

I recently tried the fruitier and South Town and loved it I was excited to see this location right next to my departure gate. Only problem was they were already boarding my flight I came to look at the drinks and I couldn’t refuse trying one of these vodka infused jalapeño and cucumbers. In and out paid, consumed And back in line for the plane in under 10 minutes Ready for takeoff

Fantastic for an airport restaurant, and even otherwise! Margaritas are wonderfully infused(6 chiles is amazing and spicy). Food is light, fresh, and tasty. Breath of fresh air from the usual!

The food does not taste like airport fast food at all. So yummy! Chicken pinga is fresh and delicious. I wish they had iced tea!

Very overpriced, not full glasses, strange fruit margaritas that don’t use the tequila advertised. Go somewhere else and get a beer.

It’s the Fruteria! The BEST Mexican food in San Antonio from Southtown only at the airport. For those who are familiar with the Fruteria’s menu, the breakfast & lunch are pretty close to the menu at the restaurant in town. There is also a limited dinner menu. Cocktails fruity & boozey are of course available. Glad to see my fav, el huevon, has made the cut for their airport menu. However, for the record I stuck to coffee over breakfast & a Choripapa sandwich which was familiar & seemed to have grown in size for this location. Terminal A may be crap to check into without pref access, but now trumps terminal B for food.

Traveling Christmas day at SAT airport, with the family, stopped by this place, had an awesome breakfast tacos and tortas with the family, very clean and healthy fruit juices(All natural saw them making them) delicious chorizo, avocado, potatoes, the green salsa has a nice zing to it, wish I had some chips for it, a very yummy place.
