This by far is my favorite Korean restaurant to go to. The owners are very friendly! The food is great. I love the La Kalbi and bulgogi dish. They used to be bbq and Korean but now it’s all Korean food. Definitely try this place if you are craving Korean food.

Best Korean secret in town. The bim bim bop is excellent and they are never shy on their portions. I don’t really understand the name because it def undersells the Korean aspect of the restraunt. I have had the baked potato topped w chopped beef and it was good as well. Although I think Jason’s deli can’t be topped on the smothered potatoes.

Texas Brisket BBQ& Soul Garden was a bit of a confusion at first, but this restaurant has it all! You get the best of both worlds if you dig BBQ western and eastern style, and by eastern I mean Korean! The Kimchi was very good and the main dish portions were great. Although I only got the Bibimbap(stone pot) it was delicious compare to others. If you’re looking for an experience of food this is the place to go.

I have to say the pictures of their Texas Baked Potato were what lured me in. The menu said it had, bacon. chives, brisket was 2.50 more and sour cream. My husband and I decided to try it. First off, the brisket was cut in very tiny little chunks, not bad, not good but totally not worth the extra 2.50 There was no bacon on the potatoes only BACONBITS. Gross. The sign said kids eat free but that did not happen with our meal. All three of our kids ordered chicken nugget kids meals but they only had enough for two. They were overcooked and dry. This meal was over 40.00 and not worth 20.00 Sad to say we all left hungry and a little grossed out at the state of our meals. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Love this place! Satisfies my craving for Korean food. The folks here are so nice and very attentive. Kimchee arrives quickly & they have such a wide variety. Although I’m not a fan of every Kimchee they offer, majority of them float my boat. They even have fruit Kimchee! It tastes like pickled fruit mostly, but it’s good! Husband usually sticks to the American barbecue and I enjoy their Korean dishes. The Kalbi is the best! Based on the exterior, one might pass up the opportunity to dine here but this place is very clean and has televisions playing both Korean TV and old westerns. Best of both worlds.

Now I can’t speak on the Brisket or any of the American food because I don’t come here for BBQ. Yes you read that right. If you don’t know, they have an extensive Korean food menu. The Korean food here is by far the best in San Antonio. Authentic and delicious. The Korean spicy chicken wings are especially addictive. And portion sizes are very large. Though I could(and probably should) share a dish, it’s way too yummy to do that!

Not what you would expect it is not just regular barbecue, it is barbecue with a Korean mix. They have the beverages listed as fountain drinks. However they give you can sodas and they supply them as if they were fountain drinks. The service was good but I would not recommend this restaurant.

Last couple times were not so great. The food and customer service that we went back for is gone. New waitress that runs the place is like a Nazi money hog and pretty rude. I don’t care to return because she ruins the experience and the food has not been the same. Sad to say but will not return. Food is the utmost importance followed by cleanliness and customer service. Without these three, one cannot expect happy customers.

This place is disgusting. I was looking for a location Texas BBQ joint — and I must say, the food was so underwhelming and the service was even worse. We ordered the brisket, since the place was called«Texas Brisket» — and it seriously looked like microwaved lackluster mystery meat, rather than a smoked or even barbequed brisket should look. The sauce had an unusual(and not necessarily in a good way!). During the entire meal, we were missing one of our side dishes, didn’t get the appropriate garnishes and toppings, and didn’t even get a drink refill. Poor quality food, even worse service. Definitely will not be returning.

I came here because I was craving for BBQ and some rice. I ordered the Korean BBQ pork and they are delicious with rice. Yummm! The service is awesome, very friendly. My only complain is the small dishes isn’t fresh, I had my shares of Kimchi and radish over the years and the ones here isn’t crunchy.

To begin with, they have a very friendly staff. The food was just okay, but their BBQ sauce was really good. I say just okay only because while staying in San Antonio I got to experience much better, ribs were good and so was the smoked sausage, but they place I believe is owned by Koreans(which trust me, it is a plus!) only because they offer Bulgogi(which i did not try and should have) but maybe next time I am in town I may try it. So you have two choices(BBQ& Korean). They have a few t.v.‘s and they are broadcasting sports(saturday college football). They have local transportation to the Military(which is a plus, we can never stop thanking you all for your commitment to defend this country). Try them out for yourself, but sad to say, there is better BBQ near by.

+ Friendly Texas Service + Large portions + Kimchi and Radish — Took about 15mins for food to come out

I’m an enjoyer of brisket, did not enjoy it here. Potato salad was good, beans weregood, brisket was rubbery and much too fatty. The barbaque sauce was nearly flavorless, no difference between the regular and the spicy. Staff was very friendly and happy. Please fix the meat and adjust the sauce because I’d very much like to be back and enjoy the food.

The sweet tea was great, service was excellent however, my brisket was way underdone. I wish the food matched the caliber of friendly staff.

Sorry, Texas Brisket: I fold. After a half-dozen or so visits — during which your food was never the same(not merely on consecutive visits — but on ANYTWOVISITS, PERIOD) — I’ve lost hope that you’ll ever evolve past the«has potential» stage. Your staff is still very friendly — and service is fast… but there are other issues. On my most recent visit, ribs — formerly the shining star of the menu — were dry and just not as good as they had been; also, meat portions have shrunk by 33%(down to two ribs from three). I was one of just a couple of patrons in the restaurant in the lull between 2 and 3 p.m. — apparently when the staff begins thinking about a meal, themselves. And what were they planning to eat? Take-out from a restaurant a few miles down the road! As humorous as I found that BEFORE my meal, afterwards I began thinking that maybe THAT restaurant — and not Texas Brisket — is where I should take my hungry self from here on out!

I read the review in the Express News and decided that I would meet a friend there for lunch and enjoy what the Express News said was good food. BOY were we disappointed. What was advertised as the«Juiciest Brisket in Texas» turned out to be dry and rubbery. And, YES we ordered the«marbled» brisket. The owner came out and apologized for the brisket, but we still had to pay. In fairness, we did NOTASK for a refund. The RIBS were also tough and dry and had almost no real flavor. The Chicken was GOOD. The sausage was Okay and the pork was so, so. The beans were so so and NOT Texas BBQ style, more like a sweet Boston Baked Bean. The Potato Salad was also so so and pretty bland. Bread was«white wonder bread style» and was fairly okay but a wheat or a yeast bread would have been better. Frankly, I can’t recommend this place. TODAY it was really very poor.

There is no good BBQ in San Antonio. Hate to say it. I’m from Dallas and have had THE best BBQ ever, south Dallas style. Nowhere have I found it since and not even close in SA. Sorry to say. I’ve travelled alot and still find Dallas’ the best. Yes, I’ve tried Rudys. The last place I’m going to spend my money is to try the place that’s owned by the guys that own Tre Trattoria(a great restaurant). Two brothers BBQ — I think that’s what it’s called. Too bad for Tx Brisket BBQ. My advice… get some new BBQ sauce — I couldn’t even dip my dry brisket into anything to cover up. Everyone else here has said what needs to be said about the issues — and the ribs, well… try Dallas.

Texas Brisket BBQ shows promise, but they need to fix some things before I bump them up to 4 stars… I had lunch there today and over all it was pretty good. I had the 3 meat plate w brisket, sausage, ribs, potato salad and cole slaw — here’s the breakdown… Brisket — 2 stars — very dissapointing — not a very good smoke ring, slightly tough, was kind of wet like it had been held in a steam tray before serving Sausage — 4 stars — nice flavor, good spices, not too greasy Ribs — 4 stars — not falling off the bone — nice crispy texture, good rub Chicken — 4 stars — moist and tender, good smoke flavor Sides — 4.5 stars — great potato salad with skin on new potatoes and lots of parsley and celery — slaw had a great dressing and lots of flavor — both were much better than BBQ places normally have Sauce — 3 stars — the spicy one was pretty good — the other one was way too sweet The other complaint I have was the bread they served me was slightly stale. Décor was fine and service was very friendly. Update — Went for a return visit today and the brisket was as dissapointing as the first time, the chicken was nice though… FYI — they have a drive through on the side of the building

I had their ribs — phenomenally good. I had potato salad — even better. I think I also had Cole slaw which wasn’t memorable at all but not bad, I guess. I’m not sure what hours they’re open. We went for lunch. I loved it. Took a star off for the wilted onions on the fixins line. Will go back when I’m jonesin for ribs and potato salad again.
