The messed up my order when I called to tell them Martha told me to save my food and come back tomorrow for the correct order! Who does that? So basically don’t eat today! «Just come back tomorrow and we will give you food» NO!

I had the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. It was good, and definitely good for fast food Mexican, but I didn’t feel like it qualified for what I would consider«fajita.» Will go and try again. The fajita plate next time.

This taco cabana has to be one of my favorites in the city. We went to another location that was packed and then drove over to this one. So glad we did! Zachary took our order and did a wonderful job! He was very attentive and the food came out great! Plenty of parking and I’ve never had any problems at this location. Very pleased! If you’re in the area visit this taco cabana. It is clean and the parking isn’t too bad. Keep up the great work!

Food is ok for something that is mass produced. Very salty so avoid if you have hypertension.

While standing in line I saw a sign for lighter fare chicken fajita taco. I ordered that and the cashier looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. She said«So, you want a fajita taco?» I pointed to the sign. I went back to the other side of the sign and read it to her. I told her the main difference i see(why am I explaining the difference to someone who works there?) is that this taco is on corn rather than flour tortillas. She assured me she would make sure it was on corn. Of course I received flour. Too tired and hungry to go through the hassle of waiting on them to do it right. PLEASEKNOWYOURMENU.

It makes me so happy to be updating this review. I love when a business takes note of what’s wrong, implements changes, and earns my business back rather than just ignoring the problem(I’m looking at you Luther’s). Anyone who knows me(or reads my reviews) will know my fav TC is the one across from North Star Mall, on San Pedro. They were the first one to receive a facelift and change how they run their restaurant and I am happy to report this location has received said upgrades. Among those upgrades are new menu boards, new interior décor, brand new tables/chairs, a tv, and an overhaul on their order pick-up system. Once you’ve placed your order they give you a number marker and once your meal is ready they deliver it to you. They also have upgraded their service. I’ve visited a few times recently and each time the service has been fast and friendly. The food has come out quickly. hot, and correct. Thank you TC, you’ve earned a customer back.

I’ve eaten Taco Cabana more times than I can remember. Overall experiences have been positive; I can’t recall a time I have been disappointed with the food. This is Tex-Mex, which is what I grew up on so the taste is nice and familiar. If you’re craving some form of Mexican food and it’s late at night or you’re in a hurry, I would recommend Taco Cabana. It’s on my top of fast food places.

I have been eating at other Taco Cabana locations for over 25 years and generally have had good service until I visited this location Wednesday evening and had the worst service ever. We ordered two fajita skillets and were specific about what we did and did not want on our skillets. The requests were also reflected on our ticket. The wait for our order exceeded 15 minutes and the order still wasn’t ready when I went up to the counter to see what was causing the delay and when the food did come out both skillets were made incorrectly. When I told them what needed to be corrected, they were very slow to remake the items on the skillet causing the rest of our order to get cold in the process. Out of the frustration I decided to ask for a refund, and the manager seemed very complacent and happy to refund my money instead of making things right. They made no effort to keep me as a customer. If I was able to do so, I would rate this business 0 stars.

It’s been like 5 months that at night the sweet tea isn’t sweet and you have to ask for it in the kitchen everytime you want a refill it’s anoying also there is not enough staff and it is very dirty at night.

I’ve been coming to this taco cabana for over 10 years. The place has always been average at best. The food is mostly consistent in taste. I used to ordered the personal skillet until it went off the menu. Now I have to mention and confirm that they use black beans which they still mess up 1 out of 5 times. The sopapilla is what brings me back when in season. The honey combination is great on a cold night with some tea or coffee.

Loving it from 4pm to 7pm $ 1.50 tequila margaritas… woop I usually shoot for the street tacos and I definitely take advantage on the $ 1.50 off nachos during the daily happy hour. My kids live the Bean and Cheese tacos.

Surprisingly great food for a «open 24hr» place. Inexpensive. Drive through fast and easy. Never had an order messed up before! I’ve been here multiple times for those late night cravings when everyone else has closed.

DONOTCOMEHERE. This is the last time I will come here. It’s my mistake coming here a second time however the reason I do not recommend this location is I have found a pubic hair in my food a second time. The manager was unapologetic and rude about giving me a refund. He wanted to just replace the food. HORRIBLE

This doesn’t have I do with Taco Cabana’s food, more their practices. I showed up here on a Saturday night. It was about 2:20am and the drive thru had a long line so I went inside to place my order. I stood at the counter for about 5 – 6 minutes before anyone ever came over to take my order, and the whole time they saw me standing there but wouldn’t come over. The girl who was refilling the ice in soda machine is the one who finally came over. I told her I had a buy one plate, get one free or for a $ 1 coupon. She took my order(chicken fajita and two beef taco plates). I chose a table to sit down and wait. There were a few other customers there but besides the girl who came in behind me, no one else was waiting on food. There were a few drunk people who came in to complain about their order but all in all it wasn’t busy inside. I sat there waiting for my food for what seemed like forever. Finally they tell me my order’s ready and hand me a little brown bag. I told them I ordered plates, they told me «no, you ordered combos». I told him«no the coupon was for plates» but he kept reiterating that I was wrong, and when I told him the combo comes with drinks he said no, so instead of arguing I finally left at around 3:30. Yes, that is how long I waited for two fajita tacos, two crispy beef tacos, and some chips and queso. When I got home I noticed that I was in fact correct and the coupon was for PLATES. Now I’m used to this location refusing to accept coupons. They once tried to tell me the Cabana bowl coupon I had wasn’t valid, when I showed them that the expiration date was over a month away. They then pretended like they were doing me a favor and said«it isn’t valid but we’ll go ahead and give you the drink for free». They absolutely refuse to admit their mistakes. However I draw the line at that long of a wait. I immediately filled out the survey at the bottom of the receipt. I got a call back a few days later from the manager«Max» telling me I was a liar. He said he reviewed the security footage and my wait was only 6 minutes. He then accused me of making it up to receive free food. I know that I waited a long time. Longer than anyone should have to wait for FASTFOOD. Unless some worm hole popped out of nowhere and I somehow entered it, I know this guy is talking bulls – t. Once again they fail to take accountability. So I called the corporate office to complain and to request to see the footage. They took my number, said the district manager would call me back, but he never did. This is not my usual Taco Cabana location. I’ve been here once before(the coupon incident) but I have to say if the only two times I’ve visited, are the two times they tried to screw me over, I’m guessing this location is the problem. The manager said he gets people all the time complaining so they can get free food, but somehow I doubt that. I’m guessing he gets complaints because his location SUCKS.

Not my first choice for Mexican food… not my first choice for fast-food Mexican either. Food is tasting more and more generic these days but I’ll still eat a chicken quesadilla any day. The third star is for the steak street tacos and queso!

To drive up to a window and see someone touching Everything with No Gloves on and proceed to make your foods in front of you followed by a trip to the register to ring up the next person in line, back to the food, then come to ring you up touching your money and go back to making someone else’s food… omg. So many things wrong with that. I’ve worked food service on and off since 16 and I’ve never been anywhere it’s OK to touch the actual food of another person let alone a customer without washing hands or wearing gloves. No thanks. Taco box or no taco box I like my foods sanitary, especially when my daughter will be one of the people eating what I paid money for.

How? Someone please explain to me how exactly this place exists here in Texas and there isn’t any Taco Cabana in California? The happy hour is AMAZING! Sure I’ll say that as I personally accept that I’m an alcoholic, but beers and margarita’s for $ 1.50? You must be out ch’yo damn mind! I mean yah the cups are smaller than the infamous red solo cup but hey I sure don’t mind the price at all!

Wha??? You call THAT a breakfast taco?! I don’t think that was even a whole egg in my bacon and egg taco! And what is that?! Bacon bits?! The bacon looks like that fake stuff you put on a baked potato when you don’t have real bacon. I’m insulted that they think that I’m going to accept these tiny breakfast tacos. This location was out off all soft drinks except Dr Pepper and Diet Dr Pepper. Gah! The tortillas were tiny. The salsa is watery and weak. Yuck. At least the drive thru is relatively fast.

Taco Cabana is not my favorite restaurant, to be honest, I’ve really only ever tried a handful of things here and one of my favorite things to get from here is the breakfast tacos. They aren’t great, but they fill the craving if you want some and there’s a TC around. I frequently get the taco cabana breakfast box of a dozen tacos. It’s a bargain plus my co-workers love me even more when I’m bring them in! ;) The service through the drive thru is great and fast. The same ladies are working there in the mornings on the weekday and they are very fast and efficient. If you’re coming to San Antonio and want great Mexican food, don’t go to TC otherwise you will be disappointed.
