This was the worst most bland burger I’ve had in a while. In N out is day and night better. They don’t even serve beer here. They don’t take American Express and they just absolutely suck in every way, I will never return here again. Over priced food that just sucks. I’m very disappointed. I can’t believe I made any effort to go to this location. The Smashburger in Irving, TX was great and this location is terrible. Don’t go here for any reason.

Always have great burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. Burgers are outstanding with a fried egg. Baja burger does have a good kick of spice to it. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

This was my first Smashburger, even though there are locations in California, I just hadn’t been. I got the bacon avocado burger and it was just okay, the patty was pretty dry and the produce on it wasn’t too fresh, but the real winners were the buffalo spiced fries! Those were SOGOOD; the perfect amount of spicy and salty. I usually only pick at my fries, but this time I ate them all. Service was great, staff was friendly, and it was less than 10 minutes from when I ordered to when I left with my food.

This was really nice for a casual dining experience. I ordered the build your own crispy, chicken sandwich. It was breaded and seasoned well. The egg buns are always a treat and make a great base for a sandwich, they are fluffy, fresh and really tasty. My husband had a burger on a wheat bun. Again, well seasoned on the meat and fresh on the bun. We shared the Rosemary and the buffalo fries. The fries are always hot and crispy, well seasoned and irresistible. The buffalo ones were served with a side of ranch, which was clearly made in-house and worth every calorie. The menu is simple, but what they do, they do well. The best part of our experience, however, was the service. We were greeted promptly, served quickly and treated as valued guests. Great experience. Thanks!

Waited an hour for food. Finally left. Normally smash burger is awesome, not this location!

OMG. Great burgers, very well seasoned. Build burger to your liking. This is my first visit, I got an Original with American cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onions. Burger was delicious and veggies were fresh. Haystack onion rings were hot and crispy with southwest dipping sauce, great combination. Highly recommend this place.

A tasty addition to the somewhat crowded slightly upscale fast casual burger market. They have a veggie burger they make in house, which automatically earns them mad points from me. They’ll sub in the bean patty on any burger, so don’t be afraid to ask. The fries are all thin and crispy and delicious. Service has always been cheerful, and you can get in and out for under twenty bucks for two people if you skip drinks or share fries.

Great burger joint with a nice grilled taste. They have a lot of good options to chose from. Reasonably priced also.

Below average fries, better onion rings. Above average burger, I like mine a little juicer. I have a beard and mustache so I judge the burger by how many napkins I need. Only needed 3 for this burger. Very friendly staff and quick service. I would go back if it was near but I won’t go any distance to eat there. Chesters on 410(not I10) and Longhorn Café on Blanco are much better, at least 8 napkins.

Food isn’t bad… but who seriously needs oil coated fries(smash fries)!? I think this place would be a lot better if it had a better location. I dunno I just got a weird vibe from the place. I do pest control for a living and I saw a lot of… strange conditions that would usually mean some pest problems.(Added after reading some reviews: some people have noticed small(German) roaches! Yikes!!!) I got the bacon cheese and added avocado. The add on was $ 1.00 and that bought me three slices, that were all together thinner that two of my fingers side by side. I got the smash fries and they were DRIPPING with oil. I thought maybe they would just be sprinkled with oil to get the herbs to stick(but you would think they would be greasy enough on their own) but these fries were doused in oil. With all that said the burger was def good!

Place is very nice. Very clean and very nice atmosphere. Staff is welcoming. Pbj shake is my favorite and they gave me the monster tin cup with the remaining shake that didn’t fit in the glass. The rosemary fries are great, not too too greasy. The chicken avocado sandwich was excellent. Very juicy and full of flavor. I do recommend this place at least once to try to see how you like it.

So disappointed. I’ve eaten here before with decent results but today was not great. First, my favorite chicken burger has been removed from the menu(Buffalo Chicken), so sad. Then we apparently picked the splash zone section of the restaurant. The air-condition pipes on the ceiling had a ton of condensation that kept dripping down on our table. And strike three was the little roach that crawled across the wall next to our booth. Time to go. Baja grilled chicken sandwich was decent. Messy, but tasty. The fries were good. And the staff — meh. When they noticed the air-condition dripping they just said — «oh, it’s leaking again.»

Took a chance on this place since I had never heard anything about it before. Really glad that I stumbled upon this place because the experience was great! Staff was very courteous and helpful; especially with the menu. The Smash fries are a good twist to regular fries with the rosemary and olive oil flavor. This is definitely a place that truly allows you to have a burger«your way». I felt adventurous so I meticulously designed a masterpiece that was exploding with flavor and running over with greatness. The more messy the better, right? Applewood smoked bacon over a big ½ lb burger with smash sauce, an egg, lettuce, tomato, pickles… yeah you get the picture. ABSOLUTELYAMAZING. Come in with an architectural mentality and go ahead and construct your masterpiece.

I love Smashburger, but this is the 2nd location I’ve been to in SA that messes up something one way or another. My bf got a lot of burnt, dried smash fries(hidden under the«good ones») with his order. Even worse, it looks like there were barely any fries there! I’ll just find another Smash Burger location. Our cashier was super-friendly. Service with a smile — always a good thing!

My friends and I went here recently for a belated Secret Santa get together and it was as good as ever. I had the Portabella Mushroom Chicken Melt(grilled) — while it was a tiny bit drippy from the cheese/mushrooms and the chicken was crazy large in comparison to the bun, it was SO delicious and moist that I didn’t care. Also, the fried pickle chips are Not listed on the Menu but they DO have them — and they are still GREAT! Sadly, they were out of the Vegetable frites the day that we went so I didn’t get to try them. Those tiny things aside, the service was great, the food was delicious and well priced and we will definitely go back in the future.

The smash sauce is tha shyznit! Put it on everything. I love their fries with the seasoning and the chicken sandwich with smashsauce all up in it. Wooh! If they really wanted to fatten me up, then they need to stay open till like 3am & I’ll be all, hey I got an idea… lets make a late run to smashbuger for the chicken sandwich.

Being vegetarian usually means I can’t go to your average chain burger place, but the thing that keeps me interested in Smashburger is that A) they have a vegetarian bean patty at all and B) it’s pretty delicious! I’m also a fan of their breads, which are definitely a step up from regular fast food burger buns, and their veggies seem to always be fresh. They also serve Häagen-Dazs ice cream so, let’s be real, getting a shake is part of the deal when I come here too. I can always be coaxed into eating somewhere with the promise of a milkshake. The reason(s) I can’t give more stars is because the cleanliness was just a little questionable, with slightly dirty floors and several tables that weren’t cleaned off the entire time I ate here, and also the fact that I think it’s overpriced for what you’re actually getting. That is undoubtedly due to the fact that there aren’t combos or included sides; if you want fries or a drink, you have to buy them all separately, which I find a bit strange. I don’t know that I ever see a burger served in a restaurant that doesn’t include a side of fries, but oh well. The staff was friendly enough too and we got our food relatively quickly. All in all it’s still a step above fast food burgers and fries, and it’s one of the places in SA that I know I can get a tasty veggie burger, but it’s not somewhere I’d come all the time either.

Forgive them for being a burger chain b/c this place is pretty awesome nonetheless. The staff is usually nice, the food always comes out just right and they never take too long. You won’t find a drive-thru here but that’s for the better. Imagine being able to get sit down quality food at chain food prices. Keep in mind, its still not gourmet by any means but it does easily sit atop the fast food joints in my book. Although I’ve tried multiple things on their menu, I keep coming back to their Avocado Club Chicken Sandwich w/Smash Fries. The chicken is grilled and is always well seasoned with natural juices intact, giving it that level of moisture which makes my mouth water. The Smash Fries are not your regular old boring french fries you’re used to from the other guys b/c they’re tossed with Rosemary, Olive Oil & Garlic and are never cold or under/over cooked. Yum. I talked to a manager here when they first opened a while back and he actually took the time to tell me how Smashburger came to be and how they strive to be different from other chains. He also invited me to come back with friends on a weekend and said he’d comp our meals if we’d just mention the place to our friends and family. Nice guy. All in all, I’ve had exclusively positive experiences here so I plan on keeping it in my rotation of «above average quick food.»
