Chicken OK, biscuits old and stale, fries old, beans and rice OK. I arrived at 1645 and didn’t know I was getting all the old food. For old food I think the customer should get a discount. Normally biscuits are soft and moist but these were old and crunchy. I ordered shrimp and they were old and I could tell by the shrimpy taste. The fries were not fresh and somewhat stale. I don’t think I’ll be visiting this chicken place again. I went to this location because of proximity to our house. I’ll drive off base next time.

Worst. Customer Service. Ever. We ordered a family pack of 12-pieces of chicken with 2 sides(coleslaw and cajun fries), biscuits, hot sauce, honey, and a 3-piece tenders meal with coleslaw, BBQ sauce, and a side of coke. We got the 12 pieces of chicken, 1 side of coleslaw, 1 side of fries, biscuits, and a 3 piece chicken meal — no tenders, no other side of coleslaw, no sauces of any kind, and fruit punch instead of a coke. For a group of soldiers who were sooo looking forward to the complete meal, this was an absolute miss. Common now!!!

WAY better than the fried chicken served at the Slagel Dining Facility, and probably the best fried chicken available at Fort Sam Houston for that matter. KFC cannot even compare. This restaurant shares the same building as Godfather’s Pizza for some reason, and it’s located right across from the Post Exchange. Great location, except crossing the street to get here if you’re a pedestrian might be a little tricky. The chicken here is crispy and considerably less greasy and soggy than a lot of what the competitors have to offer. It makes me feel much less guilty about eating fast food. Prices are reasonable, and they do not include sales tax. Sounds pretty good, right? I ordered the four-piece combo for $ 8.99. It comes with an option of mild or spicy and dark or mixed meat. Mild really isn’t spicy at all, and dark meat is delicious(and fifty cents cheaper). Ordering a combo means the meal comes with a biscuit, a side, and a medium drink. It really is not a bad deal, considering how the food is pretty good. They seem to be going for a Cajun theme, seeing as how the franchise originated in New Orleans, but it’s more or less just generic fried chicken that’s rather well made. I also got quite an enjoyable slice of their Mardi Gras cheesecake for $ 1.59; it looked like a birthday cake with all the colors on it. It’s overall a very delightful restaurant, and my main gripe is how the food took kind of a long time to get ready when the place was so empty, and they clearly had several pieces of chicken being heated in the back. But other than that, this restaurant is greatness.
