We’ve been buying cookies both standard and customized from Lily’s since at least 2009. We have usually had a good experience. Unfortunately, it all changed this week. We ordered my daughter’s customized bday cookies over two weeks ago. The cookies would be passed out to her classmates. When we opened the box(the morning of her birthday), we noticed the name was completely wrong. Lily’s Cookies’ idea of «fixing the issue» was to give us a «standard» cookie to replace the mistake. Unfortunately, they would be charging us the same price for their standard cookie as they would for our customized cookie. They wanted us to give back the erred cookies in exchange for the new standard cookies where most places would have just given out a new set of cookies. They also offered to refund the cost of our cookies but again they wanted all their cookies returned which means we wouldn’t have cookies to pass out. Why wouldn’t they step up their«customer service» and fix the issue with at least a discounted set of cookies? Their way of finally fixing the issue was to deliver the cookies«free of charge»…2 blocks down the road. We felt their only concern was profitability. Sadly, they’ve lost a long time customer.

Very rude waitstaff. Got the opinion that they could care less. Asked about a particular cookie, said never heard of it. Looked like an assembly line. Never suggested helping us design what we wanted. Never will come back!

I custom ordered 5 dozen cookies to be shipped for a baby shower in South Florida and not only did all the cookies arrive in tack, but everyone LOVED them! They even packed a few extras in the event any of the cookies got damaged. They were a fantastic give away goody for the guests and they made cookies so festive and fun! I always highly recommend my friends when they visit SA to stop into Lily’s but I will now always recommend if they are looking for a great treat to be shipped to them! Great job as always and the cookies were a hit!

after reading other reviews I was a little skeptical on the decorated sugar cookies. I ordered a dozen each of the texas honey, cowboy, and pumpkin white chocolate. The texas honey was delicious, cowboy was just ok, pumpkin was good but a little strong on the ginger. When it came to the decorated sugar cookies… i actually enjoyed them! While they are a little on the thin side the cookies have a nice sugar cookie flavor. dont expect lofthouse style or super moist sugar cookies, thats not what decorated sugar cookies are. I will definitely be back the next time Im in town.

Everyone at my niece’s baby shower were thrilled with the custom cookies I ordered from Lily’s Cookies. The shower was a storybook theme. The artists at the shop created beautiful cookies for Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, The Cat in the Hat, The Giving Tree, and The Little Engine that Could.

The cookies here are delicious! The staff is friendly and very attentive. I love that they started making cupcakes, those are delicious too! Just wish they would use only the cream cheese frosting as oppose to buttercream. I love this place and I’m so glad it’s just down the street from my work!

Love Lily’s cookies! They can make any kind of custom cookie design you need and best of all they are absolutely delicious. We’ve used Lily’s for years for personal and business functions, gifts and party favors and everyone always loves them.

Totally love Lily’s Cookies! They are very cute and tasty. Perfect for a gift, special event or a cute treat. Custom cookies can also be ordered. They are a bit pricey but are adorable. Great for company logos or as an amenity for a client.

I come here for the snickers brownies; that is all. No other reason to come here, service is lacking and other cookies are blech!

A friend and I went out of our way to try this place and were terribly disappointed. Aside from the awkward atmosphere and limited selection, the cookies that were there were adorable. I purchased 3 for around $ 8. The cookie was extremely hard and had absolutely no flavor. The remaining 2 will stay on my counter simply for decoration. Don’t recommend this place.

Yikes! After a wonderful meal at La Fonda on Main we decided to stop at Lily’s Cookies. While I agree the decoration is exceptional the actual sugar cookie is hard, bland and has zero flavor… I’ve uploaded a picture of the amount of cookie we actually could eat. I think the help behind the counter was pretty lacking in skills as well… I will not go back. 4 cookies cost almost 12 bucks! Ridiculous…

Lily’s Cookies share a wall & the same tiny parking lot with Barbaro. I’ve used their parking spaces on many Sundays & in the evenings(when Lily’s is closed) in order to get my Benton’s bacon skillet pancake & clams casino pizza fix at Barbaro. But it’s taken me nearly a year to actually set foot inside Lily’s since discovering these adjacent businesses. Why? Because their hours are Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. — 5:30 p.m. Saturday: 10 a.m. — 3 p. m(according to their website)… working hours :(But thank goodness for«sick» days & government holidays :) I haven’t tried all their flavors yet. But I have tried quite a few: snickerdoodle, carrot cake, Texas honey, cowboy, Mexican wedding, oatmeal raisin, raspberry poppyseed, peanut butter, iced lemon, chocolate chip, toffee crunch, & double chocolate. I’ve also tried the snickers brownie. They were all good and evidently baked fresh. The only complaint I have is that they were all too sweet for me. But that’s just me. I have a very low threshold for sugary/sweet things. My favorite so far is the snickerdoodle cookie… crispy, chewy, cinnamony, simple… delicious. My husband especially enjoyed the brownie — very rich and decadent. Our least favorite is actually their famous decorated cookies. We had these when our CM(Miss Gloria! xoxo) generously brought a batch to our Unilocal Christmas event. While gorgeous to look at, hubs and I didn’t enjoy the flavor or texture of the cookies or icing. But, we definitely enjoyed the other cookies from the shop and will be back for more. There are still flavors we haven’t tried and the offerings change periodically. My husband is determined to try them all! Notes: –small space –grab and go –65 cents per cookie or $ 7/dozen –consume same day… cookies aren’t as good day 2 –any photo can be transferred to sugar cookie for special occasion(ask for details) –make it a complete meal by ordering food to go from Barbaro!

The decorated cookies are beautiful. The other cookies are OK as far as taste goes. The staff… not so friendly or welcoming. I definitely would no go out of my way to make a purchase here.

I was turned on to this place by their Instagram. I love cookies, so was excited to try their«bar» cookies. I wasn’t impressed, double chocolate and red velvet cookies were hard. Chocolate chip was okay, but nothing to rave about. Their decorated cookies are good to look at but don’t expect them to taste great. With these cookies, You are paying 3 to 4 dollars on decoration and not taste. Customer service was decent.

Sweet staff, the cookies were good, nothing amazing but decent and some interesting flavors like Texas honey, cowboy, and ranger. What was absolutely incredible though was the snicker brownie. It was just delicious, I will be back for another one of those. And soon!

After reading the other reviews of this place, I am shocked that no one else has had the same experience as me! I must have the most uncanny ability to catch this bakery on a bad day because of the 3 times I have been in there, their waitstaff is utterly grumpy. Seriously, everyone… it was like each person in there had their dogs ran over that very morning(which would be tragic and I would understand). In all fairness, I would be remiss if I didn’t take the time to praise how good the cookies are there(like I said, I’ve been 3 times). When you walk in, you see a nicely decorated shop that you feel would just exude happiness only to be faced by a completely melancholic employee who seems more or less indifferent to you. I don’t think it is flagrant or anything but c’mon you work at a bakery! You are surrounded by sugar all day so why the sourness? I live nearby and McCullough Ave isn’t exactly the Trail of Tears so I am not certain why the service there is so unpleasant. But again, I’ll be damned if the cookies aren’t great so like a sweet-tooth sucker, I’m sure i’ll be back again. Who knows… might even hop over that counter and hug it out with everyone there to turn those frowns upside down.
