JoAnn’s Fabric

Excellent selection and the store is always very clean and well organized. This is the best place to find what you need for any seeing or crafts projects. The customer service is generally very good. It gets slow at the fabric cutting table… And everybody gets a bit grumpy during the process… customers and staff alike. My only recommendation for improvement would be to somehow make that process a bit more of a pleasant experience for everyone involved. I would recommend ordering large cuts of fabric online, especially during their doorbusters sales. If you’re just picking up a few items and a few yards of fabric, and they’re not having a big sale, you’ll be in and out quickly.

After an unsuccessful trip to a few different craft stores, Jo-Ann’s came through for me! They had the embroidery and cross stitch patterns and modern threat colors for me to start on a few Christmas presents. There was someone in the aisle helping folks at all times find what they are looking for and no wait at the checkout, plus they encouraged me to download two coupons to use today. They have a new loyal customer, even though they are farther than two craft stores nearby work. Other craft stores should follow their lead!

This was by far the worst Joanns experience I’ve ever had. I run my own business and all of our fabric needs are always processed through joanns. We just moved into the area and I needed to return a special order and let’s just say the customer service was less than even sociable. It was as if I was asking for the entire store. I’ve had to make returns before at another location and lets just say this was mentally exhausting. These ladies need to brush up on customer service. Management should consider re-​training on POS procedures and understand what types of Identification are legally acceptable in the USA and Joanns. I will be looking for another Joanns to handle my business’ needs. This store is far from professional. Good luck ladies.

I LOVE THIS LOCATION! It is always packed… But I simply find they have more than Michael’s. All of the staff is very eager to help. I went in for several types of fabric and yarn for new crochet projects… The lady who checked me out was training someone else and was faster than other lines — impressive.

Okay selection, overpriced and it takes for ever to get your fabric. Then you make a big line to pay

The actual store itself leaves something to be desired but this review is solely for the classroom staff that did my daughter’s party today. Wow for 150 bucks I can’t say you get what you pay for because that party was worth more than that. We came at 11:30 and did not leave until 2 and that is only because I had to get my dog otherwise I think we could have stayed longer. They made an animé theme sewing craft for my ten year old that was Bleach themed. She loved it and so did the girls. The room was completely decorated for us I bought decorations and opted to not use them since it was already decorated nicely. I would do another party here again in a heartbeat.

Lately I’ve been getting my Martha Stewart on and trying my hand at arts & crafts. I’ve been met with mixed results but at least getting the fabric I need has been cake thanks to JoAnn’s. I’m thinking this location in the Bandera/​1604 shopping center is fairly new because I’ve never noticed it before (or maybe I’ve never been interested before.)
Anyway, I needed some fabric for a project and headed over, coupons from their circular in hand. Wasn’t sure how much I needed but the lady who measures and prices your fabric was such a big help and helped me determined how much yardage I needed. Best part was the check-​out when the cashier informed me I could use not one but two coupons from their ad and my $ 30 worth of fabric came out to under $ 15. (Sidenote: she also mentioned they honor competitors coupons.) She could have let me go on my merry way but she took an extra second and saved me money I then spent on celebratory booze.
Love this location and I’ll make the trip to come back here for my next project.
