I love the location. I hate that this is a section 8 complex. People in this building don’t know what a trash can is. They throw food in the hallway, in elevator and in garage. It’s ridiculous. Also… They steal bikes from 3rd floor balconies. Can’t wait til my lease is up. One more bad point… People don’t keep dogs on a leash. When my dog eats your dog, don’t come crying to me.

So far so good for downtown San Antonio’s newest apartment complex. Located right across the street from HemisFair Park on Durango Blvd, HemisView Village is a great location to all that downtown has to offer and is only about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the famed Riverwalk. The leasing office has been super helpful to me since I moved in in late June. Summer has a personality to match her name and the other staffers I’ve worked with are very responsive. I have a one-bedroom apartment on the third floor and love how I have a view of the Alamodome. The balcony on my apartment faces northeast, so I don’t have to deal with a glaring, afternoon sun. The appliances are black and while the kitchen and bathroom floors are a fake, ashy wood, it’s still nicer than regular tile flooring. Because the apartment was built so quickly, I’ve experienced issues with my AC leaking from vents a couple times. The parking garage can get messy from residents leaving their beer bottles or cigarette butts on the ground, but maintenance is usually good about cleaning up on a weekly basis. I’ll provide another update in Dec/Jan timeframe but so far, I’m pleased.
