Geeks Cafe

Neat spot to check out and grab a sandwich or salad. I LOVE all the geeky décor around the place (especially the Doctor Who poster) The staff is very friendly and checked up on me a few times to see how I was doing which I greatly appreciated. I ordered a sub, Cesar salad and Mexican Coke which all tasted great and were also priced fair. Parking is also easily accessible and plenty. I will definitely be coming back to this cool nerd hangout.

Great sandwiches, staff here is super chill and patient. You can game here, byob, and eat lol. They use Boar’s head products, so you know you can’t go wrong.

We were very lucky to get in on the ground level of discovering this place. First there was a small Graphic Novel book club meeting there. Then, they managed to save a near 25+ people Christmas Social reservation that suddenly crashed in a computer problem at La Madeleine. Then, they got even bigger into being able to handle out monthly events for books, trivia, games, before busting out the even bigger guns of being able to handle showings for movies, episodes, and rewatches for us.
This place is small, but it’s a geek startup and exactly where all of us would love to be putting our money toward, with people who run it all understanding, embracing and adoring the geekery of every single meetup. The place may not have a lot of ornamentation yet, but that is because the made the amazingly smart choice to sink their money into their food offerings first and every single time my group leaves it’s with comments about the awe and amazement of how good the food is here, how fresh the products, how high class the offerings so show up, presented to them and taste.
We’re totally into partnering with them for events now — both when they ask us to toss up events to get them more steam at their events and soon we’ll be advertising for a number of groups at their location, for those who come in regularly as well. They do have small hours, but they will open for reservations at any time, which means a good deal to me when I’m juggling the number of people I will always have and the need for places with all the offer (great food, tables/​chairs, geeky atmosphere, both in appearance and in staff, and the ability to play, laugh, show clips/​movies/​episodes, play geeky playlists).
I love this place so much and it fills my heart with so much joy, and I think everyone should go, enjoy them all. The groups I run will be coming here for a long time yet!
