Popped in before a movie tonight, the gator nuggets were great, and I really appreciate that they battered fresh onion rings(they were so good), wasn’t super impressed with the etoufee though, it was under seasoned.

This was my first time here. I went here for lunch. There was no wait and the service was great. I had fried pickles which were perfect and my party love it. It’s cheap too.

I love Cajun food, but this was a disappointment. My friend got the nachos and she says they were yummy. I got the Cajun sampler and it was hit and miss. I love ettouffe, but theirs was not tasty and did not remind me of any ettouffe I’ve ever had.(I’ve had it in New Orleans and from a Cajun who was displaced from New Orleans after Katrina hit… he had a small restaurant in Alabama). He taught me his recipe and I make it myself, so I had really high expectations and this was just not good. The crawfish tasted very fishy and it was not a typical roux, the texture was off. The gumbo was good, not spicy, but had flavor and all the expected ingredients. The red beans and rice were ok, but a little bland. The Jambalaya was ok. The soda was kinda flat. I would classify this as a southern/country food restaurant. A coworker told me the chicken fried steak is pretty good, so I will come back and try it and the country greens. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The cashiers were really nice.

Acadiana is a nice neighborhood restaurant with great food and friendly staff. The price is average for a good cajun style meal. Home style meals are also an option.

I got the Crawfish combo which is fried Crawfish tails and Crawfish Etouffe. Not bad but not anything extraordinary. Decent meal.

Best Cajun food I have had in San Antonio. Super fresh and tasty boiled crawfish. The jambalaya and gator bites were good as well. Friendly staff. Will definitely go back again.

I decided to go here bec of the reviews. I was in the mood for fried fish. The waitress was ok. I didn’t particularly care for the food. I ordered the white fish and cat fish combo as well as my friend ordered shrimp. The fish had TOO much batter and I had to pick it off the fish. The Cajun cabbage wasn’t my cup of tea nor was the beans and rice. This place is a nice family restaurant BUT wasn’t a fan. Left disappointed

Chicken and dumplings as an appetizer are a staple; a solid choice with three hot sauce options. They no longer serve Abita Purple Haze which is unfortunate. Crawfish were salty but big. Stay away from the sweet potatoe puffs… Glorified tater tots.

Kids eat free any day for dinner. This is with the order of an adult entrée. Music to my ears. This is the only fried catfish I have eaten that doesn’t taste like the bottom scum of a river. Everything is super amazing and they can easily accommodate huge groups of 20+ and not miss a beat. The breaded fried Pork Chops are devine. Red beans & rice, yes please. Cornbread smothered in butter. My mouth is already watering again. Do yourself a favor and order a peach cobbler to go. It’s like a cake with peach cobbler beneath it.

Came around 2 in the afternoon and there were about 30 people eating. No wait for food or seating. The food itself was AMAZING. If you dont know what you want get the sampler. Flavors pop out at you. It is a tastebud voyage. Not very spicy but they have multiple pepper sauces on the table to help that out.

Passable food. Greens were very good. Fried crawfish were so so. Fried pickles were good but draining the grease from them a little more would be a big help.

We love the food here. I don’t think there’s a better cajun food place in town. However, do expect a longer wait time on your food. Because food is delicious, we’re okay with the wait. Service is really hit or miss. More miss than hit. I once had a waitress that it was my fault the food took so long because I ordered grilled chicken instead of breaded chicken. But I’ve also had sweet waitresses who we’d leave a large tip because service was so great. Collard greens are my favorite. The catfish is delicious. The gumbo is amazing as is the shrimp étouffée. My kids love this place, too.

We went here on a Tuesday night around 7ish and enjoyed the food and good service. I had the Catfish Acadiana which was grilled catfish topped with crawfish étouffée. It was a bit on the spicy side but just enough to give it a kick — it wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy to where it affected the flavor. I had the red beans and rice and cornbread as my sides. The red beans and rice were awesome, but need some spice added to them. Luckily there were three types of hot sauce at the table. The corn bread was actually disappointing — it was on the dry side. As others have noted, the décor is a bit dated but the place is very clean. All in all, I wouldn’t change a thing. Except for the cornbread that is… :) I will be back for the gator!

Simply the best food in town. I drive from the other side of town for the Cajun cabbage and corn bread. Ask for isiah. Dude works his butt off. Anticipated my every need The place a clean and great décor. Don’t let the packed parking lot scare you. Huge place inside and food comes out fast. Come hungry. Geaux away happy !!

It was pretty busy but enough room for everyone. The food was okay, I you like everything catfish or deep fried. I requested for a rare steak but was given a well done one. I guess you can’t make a steak rare if it’s as thin as paper.

To say Acadiana has been a part of our family would be an understatement. Our family has eaten here regularly for over two decades. Why I have not written a review prior to this blows my mind. If you want to dive into the Louisiana Bayou and fill up on Cajun dishes prepared to perfection this is the place for you. The menu has been pretty much the same as has been the décor but that does not stop people from coming. Rarely are the tables not full and forget getting a seat upon walk-in on a Sunday. From fried pickles to cajun cabbage and fried catfish to country greens, blackeyed peas to hushpuppies the menu hits every spot in the heart of any southerner. Sweet tea to die for is just one of the many drink options but rarely do you want more than that delicious nectar of the gods. Some of our favorites range from Fried Porkchops, Fried catfish, Country Fried Steak, grilled Catfish, Cajun Cabbage, Country Greens, Fried Okra, and Chicken N Dumplings though I have never had something I did not like there. Though service can be lackluster, the food and ambiance are great and a perfect way to build those wonderful and warm family memories.

I wouldn’t go back to this place if they paid me to come back. The price we paid per plate does not equal the portion size we received. 4 Shrimp and one small crab cake for just under 20 dollars. They won’t substitute food sides. My plate was just as small and over priced for the portion size as well. Only thing that was good were the onion rings. Now lets talk food quality. Onion Rings: they were nice and golden brown. Vadellahia Onions. Catfish: was farm raised but cut too thin; the corn meal was thick and over cooked The fried oysters were on point. The shrimp were small and over cooked.
