We love it here, the food is great, prices are wonderful and it has an amazing atmosphere. It feels like the haunted mansion at Disneyland because of the décor(everything is clean) it’s great. Our server was Craig and he was amazing at explaining the menu specials and had great customer service. The bread here is to die for and the spumoni ice cream is amazing! We will be back for sure.

Love the atmosphere. I enjoy the food too. Order the Manager’s Favorite with clam sauce and mizithra cheese if you want something really good! I always get the spumoni ice cream, so good!

I was craving this place really bad and my bf came to Unilocal to see what he should order and was like«this place only has 3 stars are you sure its good??» I was shocked to see it only had 3 stars because it is the only italian place I actually like! I was determined to write a review after we got it to go and give it 5 stars just to help the stars go up! I would have but there were only 3 small things that make me have to give it a 4. Those reasons being… 1. Asked for garlic butter and got regular butter instead. 2. Asked for a side of extra sauce for both dishes, did not receive and 3. The pesto(best dressing in the world) cups were only filled half way I didn’t even have enough to coat my salad! Thats a big deal to me cause im at home at this point and cant just ask the waiter to bring me more dressing or more sauce or a different butter… im just left stranded with what I have and thats depressing! Now I will say what I love about this place — I LOVE the managers favorite half marinara/half mizithra sauce it is my favorite spaghetti! I LOVE the pesto dressing it makes me enjoy salad when normally I do not. I LOVE the french bread with garlic butter and lastly but not least I LOVE the spumoni ice cream. You wont find a better spumoni! I wish I could have given you guys a 5 but attention to detail matters, maybe next time… and there most definitely will be a next time!

My wife and I have been coming to this Salt Lake City landmark restaurant at Trolley Square for 30 years now. Our first visit was so magical because we were young and«in love!» Now at 43 and 44 years old, we really know what love is and that definitely includes this fantastic restaurant!

For those of you who don’t know, the Spaghetti Factory is one of those theme restaurants where the staff is supposed to be surly and inhospitable to you. Our server, Huong, fit this role perfectly. Huong’s waitress character is equal parts career civil service employee and bored masseuse working the graveyard shift at a «yanky cranky» massage parlor. Among the nuances she gave her performance: 1) «Everything comes out just as I put it in the computer,»(this was a recurring theme), 2) «I’m not allowed to touch your food»(when we asked for to-go boxes), 3) «You look like a big man, do you want the extra portion?»(a fat joke is always appreciated), and«Could you move your phone out of the way?»(when wanting to set a tray down on our table). She also cleverly snuck the(free) ice cream inside her list of(not free) desserts, not mentioning the difference. Overall, the restaurant’s «assembly line» food philosophy and callous customer service ethic is perfect for anyone wanting their next dining experience to be «a bit different».

Food was ok but not the costumer service. All waitresses seem to be mad and were rude.

Food was good and served in a timely matter but the service from the waitress was terrible, she yelled at me to get the menus back and seemed to be in a hurry getting our orders as well as dropping off the drinks and food.

Food is exactly what you’d expect from a Spaghetti Factory… mediocre American Italian. Our server was a joke however. Her name was Huong. She was better suited for a massage parlor or some sort of civil service like the DMV. Absolutely horrendous soft skills, very pushy and had an excuse that blamed others/machines for everything. My brother’s comment on his check said it perfectly. «I would have tipped more but the machine wouldn’t let me.»

Save yourself the money and eat a tub of white flour with a spoon. It will taste the same and the service will be better. The only reason to eat at OSF is for nostalgia. My family used to eat there back when white bread, white vinegar, and iceburg lettuce were all acceptable cuisine(and because it was reasonably-priced for a big family). Now their prices have gone up but the food is the same. Everything is just white flour. There is not a hint of sour in that sourdough, and the pasta tastes like raw flour too. The soup is just white flour in hot water. The one good thing I will say is that I love the décor. I love the trolley, the dark wood booths, the green ceilings, and the wrought iron everywhere. It is super charming. And they do have a nice big table in the corner where families can talk and it is not noisy. Yay for memories. Boo for food.

I only really come here when I am watching my nephews as they have a great kids menu which never disappoints(and at very reasonable price: $ 5.99). The spinach-cheese ravioli with tomato sauce and the meat-cheese-spinach tortellini with alfredo sauce are their favorites. They also like the side of a gigantic meatball($ 1). The kids sides include applesauce or a salad(they always go for the applesauce) and comes with a drink and spumoni ice cream for desert. Such a deal! As far as the adult side of the menu I find it to be ok but nothing on the menu is really my favorite. The mizithra cheese and browned butter is by far the best that I have tried. I do not care at all for the spaghetti with marinara sauce; I find it thin and flavorless. I’ve tried the lasagna a couple of times and each time I found it to be very bland. I have found the chicken parmesan to be the best option; the chicken is great but the spaghetti with marinara sauce is really lacking. Recently they started offering just the chicken parmesan without the spaghetti as a side which I think is a great option. Of course, the redeeming quality for the OSP is that each meal includes fresh bread(always good), a dinner salad, the entrée, and spumoni ice cream for desert. I am usually too full to eat the spumoni. Service has always been good and I have always been seated promptly(it is a fairly large restaurant). The trolley car in the middle of the restaurant is quaint and appropriate for its location at Trolley Square. So it really is a good value, especially when feeding the kiddos.

This one-of-a-kind restaurant is a great place for a first date. You can sit in a trolley car. Or in a cozy booth. Or at a table upstairs away from crowds. The dinner specials include salad, bread and ice cream with an entrée. For a good price. This was THEPLACE to go when I was in high school. Still love it.

This place is very cool. Parking here is super easy, if you can’t find parking outside there is parking at whole foods, and walking there isn’t a distance. When I first walking into this place you notice the full on vintage look. You can notice the trolley in the middle of the restaurant. As cool as this place looks the food isn’t that great. I ordered their special baked lasagna and it wasn’t that special. The lasagna isn’t that delicious, also the tomato meat sauce they put on top isn’t really necessary. It made the lasagna just very acidic. One thing great about this place is that they offer a three course meal with your dinner. So my lasagna came with soup and ice cream. The soup was very good and flavorful. I wish I can say the same for the ice cream. Almost everyone at the table got a scoop of ice cream that was suppose to have cherry, chocolate, and pistachio. Most of the ice cream scoop only have more one flavor and a tiny bit of the rest. Totally not recommending that ice cream. All in all, I would come back here for a date because of the wonderful feel of the environment, but not really a casual gathering with friends.

This place is like the Whitney Houston song«I Will Always Love You» Spaghetti Factory! 30 years and counting I’ve been going to this place and it tasted great then and tastes great now. I get the Managers Special with Mizithra and Clam Sauce. Garlic butter is a must as is Pesto Dressing on your salad.

Just had an absolutely delicious garlic shrimp fettuccine. Great portion. Left feeling full but not sluggish. The chef didn’t skimp on the shrimp either. The best part of the meal, by far, was the service. Our server, Lindsey, was amazing! Great experience.

Ate on memorial day. Service was fast, didn’t have to wait long to order or for food to arrive. The mizithra cheese and brown butter was good; my wife ordered a shrimp fettuccine dish which may have even been better.

I hadn’t been to this place since my high school days many years ago, but when I went it seemed like nothing had changed. I mean that in a good way. It was predictable. Very quiet, not very busy since I went in the middle of the day, but nice. The food is good, not great. I love the bread and the many varieties of pasta. Very creative in their menu. Staff is not too attentive. They bring you your stuff and leave you alone. Definitely not hovering wait staff which means sometimes you have to wait a while to get your bill when you’re getting ready to leave or if you want a top up on the water. I’m a fan of this place. I love that it’s in Trolley Square. Cool atmosphere, lots of shops and variety. Great place to eat your spaghetti and hang out for an afternoon or evening.

The restaurant itself is in a very cool building and has a nice atmosphere to it. When we went we were seated upstairs and it was very stuffy and hot up there, so it made dinner uncomfortable. The salad that came with the meal was laughable, it looked like they went to Wal-Mart and bought the cheap lettuce that is almost all white and dumped it in a bowl and sprinkled 3 croutons on it. We laughed when we got it. Maybe some slightly green lettuce should be included? Even one tiny slice of tomato would have been nice to spruce it up. We decided to try the Alfredo. Again, not great and tasted like bottled Alfredo you get at the store. It was fine, just not something you expect to get at a restaurant. Maybe they are better known for their meat sauce.

They must hire used car salesman as servers! Our servers name was garrett. He tried to sell us appetizers twice. Not like, «would you like to try our new…» … More of a «I’ll go ahead and order you some breadsticks???» When the hell did I say I wanted breadsticks? This happened not once, but twice. I’ve been a server for 3.5 years… I can tell a difference between suggesting food… Selling food, and just trying to nickel and dime the hell out of me! The food… Was meh. I mean I couldn’t complain… How does someone mess up spaghetti… But at the same time… It was just spaghetti… Salad was sub par… We had to request for refills on our drinks(why pay 2.50 for a coke if I only get one cup?)… The atmosphere was… Kind of gloomy… It wasn’t upbeat like a chilis… And wasn’t classy… It was… A downgraded version of Olive Garden… Olive Garden is fancier than the old spaghetti factory(that’s right, a restaurant with chairs that have weeks on the bottom of them is fancier). Long story short… Salesman servers, $$ entres, for low quality food. I gave the them the second star, out of pity.
