Lucky Garden

I moved into this neighborhood nine months ago and have only been here for dinner a handful of times so far. But the owners recognize me each time I come in, ask how I’ve been, and know exactly what I want to order. They’re just the sweetest people, and they work so hard. They like to ask me about other places I go for Chinese food — I can see how much they want to be the best at what they do. The food is great and I feel like family. Recommended!

Seriously some of the best Chinese food that I have had in years! The best Egg Foo Young ever!!! Lo-​mien was excellent too! Shrimp just like I used to have when I was a kid. Everything fresh and made in house. Great value with generous portions. Tea was good. They need to offer filtered water; yep this is the only suggestion that I have.

We started eating here a couple months ago, owned by a very nice couple. Food and service are excellent. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge. We now eat here at least once a week, rarely go anywhere else. We’ve tried several dishes, BBQ pork&green beans, pork lo mein, and the #2 and #7 are few favorites. Give Lucky Garden a try, you won’t be sorry!

I picked this place for the reviews. The placed looked deceiving but once I was in it looked sooooo nice and clean. The cashier was super friendly, helpful not to mention caring! she was aiming to please!! such a wonderful person. i placed and order to go and the food was delicious!!! and the temperature was just right!!! it was also quick just like my waitress told me. i look forward to going again.

Such a fan. My first time. Best service. Food is on point. I would recommend coming here to friends and family again for sure.

Stumbled on this place when Thai Beer was closed. We were a little Leary because of location, but it was Christmas Eve, so not a lot of options. The place was so clean. The waitress/​owner was beyond friendly and sweet. Service was fast. The king appetizer was so good, I don’t normally like friend wontons or shrimp, but there was not a scrap left. Food was delicious, huge portions and low prices. They’re open til midnight everyday and I will be back. People who say it’s standard Chinese food, what do you expect from a Chinese restaurant? They also have Thai options. They were very busy and the waitress forgot or didn’t understand one order, but she was so gracious to fix it, not an issue. They are owners/​operators and really want to provide the best service possible. Appearances can be deceiving, give it a shot! You won’t be disappointed.

Here you find the friendliest staff. They give lots of personal attention, and offer great food! Will come back over and over!

Lucky garden. .more like yucky garden. We’ll it’s not that bad it’s just plain Jane Chinese food. Nothing special run of the mill food. Friendly people clean place. Won’t be back though cause I go to yan yans on Lancaster there bomb

For a standard Chinese restaurant, this place is great. New, clean, and friendly. The combination lo mein (which I asked for with no bbq pork and a bit spicy) was delicious. It had a rich, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of heat. All the meat was cooked nicely and was tender and not overdone.
Very pleasantly surprised how good this was!

We went there and got good food and service. Knocked down because of lack of Chinese beer.
Update they have Chinese beer. Move up the review.
I had an issue with one of the ingredients. They dealt with it in a very good manner. I look forward to my next visit.

This has become our favorite Chinese restaurant in Salem! The waitress was beyond just nice, she was super caring and really took great care of us. Food portions were excellent for the price, not to mention the food tasted amazing! Restaurant was very clean and modernized. Definitely recommend it to anyone.
We will definitely come back.

This has become my «go to» restaurant in Salem. The menu is extremely affordable as well as extremely tasty, and there are a lot of good vegetarian and vegan options (plus a ton of meat options).
I’m always greeted with a smile and a complimentary pot of hot tea when I come here. The food is amazing, fresh and flavorful. Their service is the best anywhere. The restaurant itself is kept very clean. And they have a TV on the wall (set on mute) so I can watch the game while I’m there.
If you’re looking for high quality Chinese food that doesn’t cost a lot, definitely give Lucky Garden a try.

Decided to try this place based on the high Unilocal rating. The menu is absolutely generic, nothing unusual or particularly intriguing. The place is tidy, although our table was sticky (whoever wiped it down missed a spot). We ordered the crispy tofu appetizer, which came with a potsticker type sauce. The tofu was breaded. Our entrees were Chicken with Green Beans and Chicken Lo Mein. Both were pretty good, the sauces better than expected, so pleasantly surprised there. The service was super friendly and efficient. We almost gave this place three stars, due to the lackluster menu choices, but went for four stars based on the entrees. Will probably come back.

Sizzling Happy Family Seafood was delicious. We will definitely be back to try something else. The waitress was great — prompt service and very friendly.

I really wanted to like this place. The girl up front was great… funny and friendly. I ordered dinner… combos with sweet and sour chicken and pork, broccoli beef and general chicken. Got home… no sweet and sour sauce. So basically I had tasteless deep fried meat. I will give them credit for the meat being cooked nice and tender. Broccoli beef was ok, and the general chicken was good with a nice amount of heat. I doubt I would come back.

This is our go to when we cant decide on where we want to go. We are never disappointed! Large portions and great service all the time! Orange chicken and crab puffs wont let you down!

Unfortunately nothing that opens in this location stays in business very long. Hoping this place will. Really friendly servers, food was fresh, portions were excellent for the price too. Unlike some of the other Chinese restaurants in town, the food had great flavor, nothing was bland. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
