Super nice staff, great choice for phở. A welcome addition to the east side. This will for sure be my new go to place.

Writing this review as I dine. A refurbished old KFC building that has a friendly feel to it. The server was very kind and efficient. The large parking lot makes access to the front door easy. KS95 music sets the mood. As for the food. The bun mi was outstanding. The best I have encountered in the metro. $ 3.50 is a great price for fresh veggies, warm sandwich roll and pork. The chicken phở was outstanding. A nice flavor. Not much heat. The only error was the egg rolls. I ordered the deep fried even though other reviews suggested the grill fried version. I trusted the server. I have been a Vietnamese egg roll fan since my first encounter in 1983. The version here are not worth purchasing. If they are homemade, they have mastered the prepackaged flavor and texture. With this said, I will be back as this place is a couple blocks from my house and the wonderful flavor of the bun mi remains with me as I pay the tab.

I come here more often than I’d like to admit. This place has extremely fast service — when I come for takeout, I am literally in and out in five minutes. I’ve come with a big group of people and was served in about twenty minutes. This place is delicious, the staff are friendly and the portions are very generous. Absolutely recommend this place!

I love this place! This is where I get dinner on nights when I need a treat. It’s a 10 minute walk from my house and the people are really great. I keep wanting to branch out and try other things off the menu but every time I go I can’t resist getting my favorite– their phở! Appetizers are great too. And as someone else said– they package their take-away food really well.

They should start asking people not to tip, tip should be free well on the customer on there service. Its F N rude to ask the customer if they wanted to tip. Food was okay not the best quality.

I’ve tried quite a few Vietnamese restaurants around town. I’m a little ashamed to say I tried this place twice… in one day. Lunch and dinner. After I told her about my lunch, my mom wanted to try it, so I obliged. I was pretty impressed. Broth flavor was very very good. Lighter in color but still very rich tasting. Comes with lots of basil which I love. I tried the combination phở and the seafood phở. Both came with plenty of meats and seafood. Piping hot as it should be. I got take out for dinner and they packaged it quite well. I was really impressed with the fresh spring rolls. Very different from any other I’ve tried around town. Most spring rolls look and taste almost the same. This one had grilled pork. Very tasty and a nice change up. Smokey and delicious. Service was very good. It took maybe 2 minutes to get my soup out. Real nice guys running the place that day. I noticed the menu had been added to compared to previous pictures posted. They also had several more things available not on the menu such as chicken wings and some rice dishes. With more to come in the future. Definitely a good find and nice addition to that end of town. There are not as many Vietnamese places right around there. This one is worth a try.

Quick service, but the phở is drenched in msg. I wish they would make phở from scratch, with bone broth and all. Overall not too bad compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area though.

I was surprised by my experience given the Unilocal and newspaper reviews. Not very impressed with the food, but the service was great. The Phở was bland and the«fried» rice was mushy with little flavor as well. Even the pork Banh mi was missing some kick. Imagine Minnesotan-style Vietnamese/Thai with mild flavors that do not excite the palate. The spring rolls and pork egg rolls were pretty good. Nice and clean interior with friendly service, but there many other local spots with better tasting dishes.

So, this is owned by the same owners of iPho which I absolutely love! I thought this would be a little different from iPho, and the only only difference is the menu here is much smaller and getting back onto Maryland Ave sucks. The service was good, but not as quick as iPho. I will continue to go to iPho, because the menu has more variety, parking is better, closer distance from my office in downtown St. Paul, and quicker service… plus, the waiters at iPho know we always want extra cilantro. I heart iPho more, unfortunately.

Stopped here for dinner. Fast and friendly service, food tastes good. Very similar to ipho on University Avenue in Saint Paul. I think they are the same owners or relatives of the owners. With that being said, some of the things on the menu are the same but they don’t have a lot of things that ipho has such as the specialty bahn mi sandwich.

This is the best phở you can buy in St. Paul. The broth is flavorful, the noodles were cooked properly, the meat was tasty, all the condiments were there, and the guys are all friendly and appreciative. I’ll definitely return. I’ve actually already been there twice.

Friendly and good service. The place seemed clean. They have a pretty basic menu: appetizers, phở, banh mi, and newly added rice platters as well as fried rice. Food came out within minutes(a plus for me). The phở comes in two sizes: regular and XL. The regular size phở came with an abundent amiunt of noodles and broth. The phở broth was pretty good but a little on the saltier side(i prefer a sweeter broth) but thats just personal preference. Overall, i wouldn’t mind returning for phở.

Pros: The phở soup base tasted good. The vegetable on the side came with good size lime. Extra large came with good amount of noodle and meats. Cons: The noodles didn’t taste good. Hopefully they change the noodles next time around. Other info: For those who likes alcohol with their food, this restaurant currently does not serve those type of beverages. I will try again next time and will update if anything changes. This time I ordered the Phở Combination extra large.

I Heart Phở is in the old Asian market/deli that was a KFC ages ago. Simple menu. Several Phos, Banh Mis and appetizers. They just added rice platters and fried rice. Their place is clean and new looking. All the guys in there are young and friendly. Their Phở #1 was among the best I’ve had. Perfect broth, ample meats and add ins. Just right! My daughter just had 2 apps– an order of uniquely shaped cream cheese wontons and pork fried eggrolls. Both were excellent. Light and crispy, full flavored and accompanied by tasty sauces. Be sure and try the wontons(which are also available with jalapenos!) — they aren’t anything like the heavy little wads you get at American Chinese restaurants. They are a large, gently-folded turnover; airy and crunchy. I will stop by often, this is really good!
