Good attention to detail and one of the cleanest bathrooms I’ve experienced and I’m very picky.

Super clean and quiet. The room was spacious. Everyone was courteous. Breakfast had a lot of warm options but the cold choices were a bit lacking. But hey, free breakfast! Wi-fi was also complementary, and parking is free. Perfectly nice place to stay.

I have stayed at this location at least a couple times a year for the past five years or so. While it’s not in the sexiest area of town it is a great value for business travel and there are plenty of places to eat just a short drive away. It’s obviously one of the older properties so the rooms are a little on the small side but everything is clean and in good working order. I’ve seen a couple complaints about noise in other reviews but I always ask for a room on an upper floor away from the elevator. The staff has always been accommodating and I have never had a problem with noise. The hotel gets big kudos for including plenty of plugs in the room. Anyone who has ever traveled with a laptop, a personal phone and a work phone knows how frustrating it is to not have enough outlets. Thank you! They also get another round of applause for how they handle bad weather. When I was there in February 2014 there were at least two nights of snow. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that not only had the parking lot been cleared early in the morning, but staff had also gone around and cleared snow and ice from all of the guests’ cars. Bravo!

The staff was super nice and courteous. They were genuinely interested in how your stay was. The room was clean, the free hot breakfast was good and we enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub.

Clean and tidy. Smaller than most Hampton rooms, but not a big deal. My objection is with the noise — probably a product of being a 30+ year old building. We were in 201 right by the elevator. The noise from one of the 2 elevator’s cables was terrible! Also the 1986 window(it is stamped with the date!) didn’t block out highway noise or even conversations on the ground below). No amount of trying to use the AC unit’s fan(fail) or my white noise app on device saved this night’s sleep. The staff refunded our stay and we very courteous, but this building needs a remodel. If staying here, ask for a room away from the elevators and the highway.

Yeah — so a Hampton Inn gets 5 stars? I mean, really? Yes! Because it is the people who set this place apart. Friendly, attentive, and hard working. We were missing an item in our room and the manager — Jim — went out and bought it for us. I was simply amazed. In these days of people sleepwalking through their jobs and taking customers for granted this Hampton Inn stands out. Highly recommended.

Just what you’d expect from any Hampton Inn except for one nice surprise. As a Hilton Honors member who stays in a different hotel while traveling almost every week, never have I been more welcomed for my stay than by Mike at the front desk. He was one of the most gracious, courteous, and enthusiastic front desk clerks I’ve ever met. I’ve been to average hotels to some of the most luxurious resorts in the world and rarely have I had a more memorable, welcoming encounter than with Mike at the Hampton. For all I know, he could have been the manager because it seemed he showed respect to the hotel by the way he treated me. It’s as if it were his own. If he wasn’t the hotel manager, he should be a concierge for one of Hilton’s première establishments. He’s that friendly and accommodating. The hotel is just like any other Hampton Inn… clean, affordable, etc. Mike made the visit an enjoyable one simply by the way he treats incoming guests. This St. Charles Hampton Inn = 4 stars. Mike = 5+ stars.
