Absolutely amazing fish sandwich and bean dip for an appetizer. Definitely the best fish sandwich I’ve ever had. I grew up in Florida so I’ve had a lot of seafood. And I got a free tshirt for showing them a coupon on my phone that I found online! My boyfriend and I came in on vacation because we wanted to splurge on a good dinner, and I can definitely say the prices are worth the food. I don’t drink because I don’t like most mixed drinks, but the cocktail I had was great. I asked for some extra grenadine syrup since I’m not used to the alcohol taste, and our server immediately brought a bottle to the table and gave me as much as I wanted. We come to A1A every New Years, and next time we’re here we’ll definitely stop by.

Went to St. Augustine for a day trip and decided to stop in for some lunch as it looked like a nice place. Sat upstairs and ordered the shrimp po-boy. It is a nice place but very touristy. Food was so-so and nothing to brag about. Prices are on the high side as well.

Great beachy, fun enviroment right across the street from St. Augustine Beach. Casual bar downstairs with cozy sofa seating for drinks outside. Upstairs has seating that offers a good view of the beach. Food is great, service is friendly, dog friendly on he bottom level which works for us since we take our furry family members with us just about everywhere. Must try the Datil Shrimp & Crab Egg Rolls they will make you slap your on self.

We stayed across the street and decided to give it a try for dinner and drinks, since it was so close we could enjoy ourselves and walk«home». Our waiter Jake was awesome, very cheerful, helpful, informative and quick. We had a little wait to get seated, the bartenders were great in helping deal with that, it is valentines day so the wait was fine. Between the food and Jake it wound up being worth the wait. The portions were good, the food was great, we would definitely stop back if we’re ever in the area again. Thank you for welcoming us New Yorkers, made us feel at home!

Award-winning soups is an understatement. Ask for a sample if you can’t decide. The crab bisque is tasty. Chowder fries is a twist on the soup which makes it more filling. The peel and eat shrimp are a treat. The Maui Wowie is the perfect name. The cabbage adds some flavor. Lobster mac and cheese is HUGE. Will need to share and take home. Close out with the s’mores brownie. It’s very warm and gooey. Service and conversation is great. The food adds up on the bill.

My sister and I had lunch here with a living social coupon and it was really tasty! We really like the mixed clam chowder. ½ red ½ white with a bit of spice! We also got the Crab Rangoon dip and it was amazing!!! It even had a strip of the red sweet sauce down the middle. Our service was Perfect no complaints :) I plan on returning very soon when I’m In the area! If you are trying out the place trust me and try the mixed chowder!!!

Our waiter, Jake, suggested several entrees and they were excellent. Three of us shared three different meals, Coconut shrimp with Pina Colada dipping sauce(best I ever had coated with fresh coconut), Macadamia Nut grouper, and a half rack of some of the best ribs ever. With two sides per entrée there was ample food for all of us and the bill including tip was $ 25 per person.

A few local friends highly recommended this place, so we gave it a try as it’s a little skip and a jump from our hotel. I had the sunset seafood pasta, which had sand dollar sized scallops covering the top. It was to die for! I just couldn’t stop eating! My mom had the grouper, also amazing. It was just melt in your mouth amazing. Of course, it isn’t a proper Florida meal without key lime pie. Mouth watering. It is SOGOOD that I’m going to alter my recipe at home, that is my signature treat. Lex was our server. He was fun, bold, and prompt. His service was exceptional. My mom and I played cards during our meal, and not only did he sit down to try and learn the game we were playing, but there was never any pressure to wrap it up and leave, even though the place was filling up on a Saturday night. We will be back before our visit ends in a few days. Well done, guys. Even this foodie was floored.

It was my first time visiting Sunset Grille with my girlfriend who had been a few times before. Our server, Sam, was very friendly and fairly attentive. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were delicious. Sadly, this was where the positives ended. My girlfriend ordered the«Ultimate Chicken Sandwich», blackened. The chicken was moist and flavorful, but it was also accompanied by a hair on the plate and a side of fries from the freezer. I opted for the«Ultimate Steak Sandwich» which was anything but ultimate in my opinion. The«filet mignon» on my sandwich seemed to be nothing more than rubbery, room-temperature strips of a lower quality cut of meat atop a layer of bacon bits and a partially melted slice of provolone cheese. It was incredibly small and bland for a $ 14 sandwich and the strange mushroom cream sauce concoction on the side was more than she or I dared to taste. The sweet tea was very good and the service was pleasant. Overall I felt the food and experience left much to be desired and I will most likely not return.

House salad was on point with a lot of Frisee greens. Topped with sunflower seeds mandarin oranges and cucumbers, no need for any dressing. Crab bisque; creamy and savory with great textures of minced crab. A very thick and hearty soup. There’s a rich black pepper taste which almost reminded me of a southern style sausage gravy. It is their version of crab bisque, and definitely unique. On a scale of 1 to 10 the lobster macaroni and cheese would be rated at 9 the penne pasta was al dente and a rich and creamy cheddar sauce it was bountiful with the lobster meat including full clause top with bread crumbs the portion was humongous so much so that we were able to take a whole other portion home it would be worth it to return for this dish Ask for the lobster ravioli there is a lot that can be said about this dish you definitely have to have a taste for it as the shrimp crab sauce that it is in is actually the crab bisque with some shrimp meat added to it the pasta itself of course was perfectly aldente and perfectly pillowy just like a homemade ravioli should be the filling was perfectly minced delicate lobster meat which had a definite lobster taste to it with no added seasoning which I really enjoyed. Overall this was a winning combo of textures and flavors combined. I’d order again.

I’ve been coming to the Sunset Grill since high school and they’ve really upgraded their dining areas. I’m torn because I loved the beachshack vibe of it many years ago when you could just walk up barefoot in your bathing suit straight from the beach just before they went and got all fancy on us. :) It’s still an excellent location right across from the beach with terrific views and decent parking when it’s not too busy. If you’re hungry for fish and chips, their sandwich here is excellent with the perfect amount of fry and flavor. Friendly, efficient staff and a solid place at the beach.

In St. Augustine, I needed a place to go for a Birthday Dinner. As we looked through the hotel book of suggested places, this one popped up. They boasted«Award winning New England Clam Chowder» and being that Bruce is a Yankee, Well. he wanted to see just what a Floridian’s idea of that would be. So we made the short drive to the Sunset Grille, waited 45 minutes to sit at the upper deck after the sunset(because it was a gorgeous night) and placed our order. We ordered the fried pickles(for me), the clam chowder(for him) and our mains were Fish and chips and Coconut Shrimp. When the appetizers came out we were impressed. First the fried pickles were enough to feed 4 people. I barely ate any. The clam chowder? As good as they boasted! The new englander was impressed. I even had a taste and it was good! The food? It was DELICIOUS! The coconut shrimp was tender and so tasty. The fish and chips were both flaky and light. This is a place to come back to.
