Until you make the final turn into the lot of Yang’s Noodles, you’d never expect to find it there. Not only is it a diamond in the rough, it can stand its own even among the Bay’s best Taiwanese offerings. The offerings here are very authentic. From the appetizers(the likes of spicy tendons, julienned potatoes, etc) to the noodles(beef noodle soup, da lu mien) to the dumplings and pancakes, you will find wholesome, legit Chinese food for a great price to boot. Nothing warms the soul after a snowy day in Tahoe like a hearty bowl of Beef Noodle Soup.

A place that serves Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup? In Sacramento? I’m all in! The restaurant itself is not much to look at. You can tell it is an old building that underwent a tiny bit of remodeling in a half attempt to look less shabby. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that it smelled pretty horribly of dirty rags… Not a good first impression, but I was starving, and I adjusted by kind of just breathing through my mouth for a little while. Service was fast and friendly, which is not too common at these hole-in-the-wall restaurants down in South Sac area. Our order was taken promptly, and the food was delivered just as fast. Taiwanese Noodle Soup — The broth was tasty and overall I liked it, but it lacked the spiciness I have come to expect from this soup dish. No worries though — I just added some of the chili pepper and oil that are set at each table. The homemade noodles were chewy and pleasant to eat, though they are kind of unsightly with lumps and kinks everywhere. But I guess it just gives it that nice homey touch! I would definitely order it again. Beef Roll — A little heavy with the hoisin flavor, and I would have liked the flaky outside to be a bit crispier. But we still ate the entire thing and I enjoyed every bite. Xiao Long Bao — … just, don’t order it. Most places get this dish wrong, and this place is no exception. I’ll try the regular dumplings next time. The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup and the friendly staff will keep me coming back.

A-Ok! Good selection of food. I got really excited to see the Shrimp Chow Fun and recalled my bay area living days. Added star for the boba drinks! Traditional Hong Kong style milk tea, which I love with Chinese food. Service was a little awkward. My friend ordered a dish without cilantro and they came out with the dish… accidentally made with cilantro and basically asked if she could still eat it anyways. And had this annoyed look when she said no. The owner was really awkward and hung around on the phone, standing near our table waiting for us to leave since it was past closing time. When we asked for a box, his answer was«uh». When we split the check, he kept pointing at the tip button. Food was great and honestly this is typical service at Asian restaurants that you’re supposed to take with a grain of salt.

For this rarest Taiwanese restaurant located at the Stockton Blvd strip, Yang’s Noodles has it all right in the South Sacramento neighborhood! From Szechuan to Taiwanese cuisines, this place is totally available at any time, and day! As I entered their doors, the atmosphere is kinda laid back feel with a warm welcoming. The concept is average despite the basic décor, but it did maintained this place very well. The employees are doing a good job here for making the customers like me a friendly atmosphere. No cons at all. Now onto the food! I ordered the customer’s favorite: the Beef Noodle Soup. So far, this soup tasted fantastic! The broth of that beef noodle soup tasted superb while it’s hotly boiled! It balanced the ingredients perfectly, so I can slurp the soup easily. The homemade noodles which it’s made inside their kitchen are cooked very well and eatable! Finally, the beef cooked very good as I take my first bite. Very easily to chew the boiled beef. There’s plenty of parking spaces available, so you can park anywhere you want to park. In the meantime, Yang’s Noodles is the finest Taiwanese/Szechuan restaurant that I’ve ever visited for the first time. A well, worthy visit! My rating: 4 solid stars.

Delicious, tasty, mouthwatering… are words that describe the food at Yang’s Noodles. On a Friday night, my buddy and I stumbled upon this place on our way to Thundervalley Casino. As we parked in the sketchy parking lot and walked towards the brightly-lit restaurant, we did not expect to find this amazing gem in Sacramento. We honestly could not contain ourselves and ordered the beef roll, beef noodle soup, noodles with meat sauce(zha jiang mian), AND the shanghai dumplings(xiao long bao). To our surprise, every single order was delicious. I do not have the vocabulary to explain how much I enjoyed each dish. The taste of the dough of the beef roll was very tasty. The boldness of the beef noodle soup and the meat in the noodles with meat sauce, along with the density of the noodles of both dishes was delicious. The shanghai dumplings were not bad and came in these«adorable» little xiao long bao shots! To add to the amazing food, both the waiter and waitress, although shy, were very attentive, which I did not expect from a Chinese restaurant! Lastly, to give a little constructive criticism. the hot sauce was nothing special. My apologies to the hot sauce lovers. but fortunately for you, the hot sauce is not necessary. Five stars for the excellent food and service! I will definitely drop by again when I am in the area.

My friends and I stopped by Yang’s on our way back from Tahoe, and we all ordered the beef noodle soup. The flavors were really good, but the beef was a bit overcooked and the noodles too thick and doughy. I also wish it came with more veggies, since I had only one piece of bok choy in the entire soup, but my friend asked for mustard greens and they piled it on. While the beef noodle soup wasn’t amazing, I thought the other dishes we tried were all really good. We had the spicy beef tendon, bean curd, and chive, shrimp and pork dumplings, all of which were delicious! They did mix up our order and forget water and tea cups, but they remedied those mistakes quickly. Besides that, the servers were extremely friendly and helpful.

It was recommended for my boyfriend and I to eat here. I’m always down for any kind of noodle soup. So I was particularly excited. I got their famous beef noodle soup while my boyfriend got a Korean bowl. We also ordered the shrimp dumplings. Their tea was ok, not a lot of flavor but I can look past that. Beef noodle soup was amazing. Has anyone ever taken a bite of food and you are overwhelmed with pure happiness?! Well that happened to me. Their noodles are amazing. Beef was good. Broth had a lot of flavor. My boyfriends bowl was really good too. Had this smokey flavor to it. He said he liked it as well. I don’t know if he had the happiness I experienced but I know he wasn’t disappointed. Shrimp dumpling were delicious. The dipping sauce was really tasty. I know I will definitely come back.

Service: Good. No complaints. Food: Their beef noodle soup was quite good — flavorful broth and tender meat. However, the zhajiangmian was underwhelming. They didn’t put nearly enough sauce and the sauce just lacked soybean paste flavor overall.

For Sacramento, this place is pretty darn good. My SO and I came here Saturday to have lunch. The place looks like a house and is pretty good. Busy but not so busy that there is a wait. They have a separate room which was where we were seated. At first, I was worried that we would be forgotten but they were really good about serving us and not forgetting about us. They service was very on point which we greatly appreciated.(You know how it can be at some Asian places.) We ordered their famous beef good soup. Indeed, really good. The noodles were the right consistency and they give a good amount of beef. Beef pan fried noodles with gravy– This is one of my favorite Cantonese dishes. Their noodles were good but to me their gravy was a bit too sweet. My SO thinks its perfect, probably because he has a sweet tooth. Hence we continue with the five stars. Scallion Pancake with Egg — We’ve been talking about this dish for a while. We make the scallion pancake at home but haven’t really figured out how to get the egg on it. Theirs was good but not amazing. We could have done without. Like I mentioned the service was on point. I think at one point the owner brought us our food. Two restrooms — one men and one women. Decently clean. Private lot.

Everything here seemed different then your normal Chinese food but it was good and flavorful. I also enjoyed the music they play a lot of 70’s 80’s hits that made my meal even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back. Con: I felt as though there dishes could have had more meat added

The beef noodle soup here was excellent. The broth was full of flavor and generously salty while the beef was tender and the noodles had firm texture. Everything else we ordered was below par. Beef roll — Mostly cilantro and not much beef. The roll itself doesn’t have much crunch or flake to it. Dumplings — Flavorless for the most part. Xiao long bao — About half were already broken in the steamer, the other half didn’t have any soup inside them anyways. Also, is it just me or is there a surprising lack of vegetable dishes here?

Some seriously Outstanding food! Tried the celery pork dumplings, wor wonton soup, chicken chow mein, fish, fried ribs, sesame beef rolls, walnut shrimp, appetizers(seaweed, potatoes, etc), bok choy dumplings and more! Literally every single dish was served piping hot, super fresh and delicious! The service was outstanding and the food was very timely. I highly recommend coming to this phenomenal restaurant. I don’t usually like Chinese food, but this was stinking delicious! Love love love this place. I live near Placerville and I would gladly make the trip to come get this food again.

Yang’s is popular because of their fresh noodles. At least that was my impression. Fresh Noodle! Fresh Noodle! They were out of a few things and the stuff they did have were meat centric and even the veggie stuff had minced meat with it or combo’d with a meat. The menu is easy to read although they don’t list everything in their dishes. and it had a few pictures. There were booths along the wall. large tables in the middle, a few 2-tops. Upon sitting, they dropped off a pot of tea. Service was okay. I don’t eat meat so much nowadays so I can’t say much about the food. They drop off your check and you get up and pay at the register.

Strongly recommend: Chinese beef roll! The noodles here are fresh and chewy! I recommend the beef noodle! I tried the sesame noodle once, don’t really like it! The wonton soup is nice, coming with vege and tendered chicken and pork pieces! I also like the spicy beef tendon as a side dish! Not recommend: the Shanghai soup dumpling. The skin is too thick. The pork filling is too blend and not juicy! Order the right stuff, you will like be this place!!!

My first time trying out this place and I really really hate the food. I got the noodles with meat sauce. The noodle was very soggy and sticky. I ate ¼ of it cause I didn’t want to waste my husband’s money and the effort him going to get me food. My 2nd food was the mushrooms with bok choy. Its tasteless. Missing flavor. The worst part was the mushrooms. It tasted so sour. I still have the after taste in my mouth that I need to rinse it with water. Is that mushroom old? Gave me a really bad stomache. I really don’t understand how it got such good ratings unless people like soggy and sticky noodles. Will be the first and last time coming here.

I love this place and their noodles. My favorite is their beef noodle stew. I also love their Da Lu noodle. This place has the most chewy and fresh noodles! Ever since I tried these noodles, I have been hooked! The owner is also very friendly in nice. In addition to the noodle, you definitely need to try the beef roll! The outer skin of the beef roll is so delicious and chewy and there are also delicious yummy sauce inside with the piece of beef! Also, your meal comes with a complimentary tea. That’s great! Unfortunately, they got shut down a couple of months ago for cockroach problems and I happened to show up that day and the owner ran outside to tell us the place was closed. When I returned to ask why it was closed for the weekend, one of the ladies said it was because there was a family event. I guess it could have been a family event or a cockroach family evacuating event. I give this place a solid 4⁄5!

Great restaurant with friendly service. The interior is small but clean. Parking was packed on a Sunday afternoon. My friend and I ordered: — Spicy beef tendon: not spicy at all, a little on the salty side but nonetheless pretty tasty with a hefty portion — Beef roll: so yummy, highly recommend ordering this dish; it has a pancake like batter and beef in between the rolls(think cinnamon bun rolls) — Dumplings: I forget which one we ordered, but they were delicious and freshly made — Chinese donut with soy milk: interesting combo, you can dip the donut in the soy milk or eat it and drink the soy milk; couldn’t really enjoy it because I was so full already! I will be back to try their beef noodle soup and order another round of beef rolls! :)

This is totally my new favorite Chinese restaurant in Sacramento! I saw it as the Unilocal Review of the Day a couple weeks ago and bookmarked it to try. I came here with my fiancé and we got a bit too excited and ordered too much food. We took home a huge bag of leftovers and will get to relive the deliciousness for dinner again tonight. We ordered pork stomach, the beef roll, soup dumplings, beef noodle soup, and fried rice. The pork stomach was SOOO good! We also might have been starving and it was the first dish to come out. The seasoning oil was flavorful and spicy, but not too spicy that you would need to drink a glass of water to calm yourself. The beef noodle soup was even more delicious! The broth was very flavorful and beefy. The noodles were a bit too thick and hard for my taste, but it was cool that you could tell they make their own noodles! The beef roll was pretty tasty, but a little too much cilantro for me. The soup dumplings were decent. The filling was delicious, but definitely needed more soup! There are so many other dishes I wanted to try and will have to come again. There were only 2 waitresses working there and they bring out each dish one at a time. Don’t come here if you are in a hurry. They also don’t serve orange chicken since they have real Chinese food. :)

So so delicious! Yang’s is a clean and well lit restaurant that boasts delicious noodles and Chinese food. I love that they offer a variety of Chinese dishes from canton to Szechuan to Taiwanese. Something to please everyone! I ordered their well known Szechuan fish soup. It was delicious and portion size is HUGE! I know you’re probably suppose to share but I just ordered it for myself and asked to add their handmade noodles in there.(For an additional 2 bucks) so worth it! Their handmade noodles are definitely a nice touch coupled with that spicy fragrant broth. So yummy! I was afraid it was going to be mouth numbingly spicy but it was definitely not too bad. The soup comes with tons of flaky white fish and Napa cabbage! Yum! My boyfriend got the beef chow fun and he loved that too! I tried a noodle and it was chewy and flavorful! Can’t go wrong. Service was great too! Our waiter was courteously and accommodating. He Brought tea and brought water too(without us asking) since the fish soup was spicy! Overall great! I’ll be back to try their dumplings!(They were out when I went)
