Wrap N’ Roll Sushi Burrito

Let me start by saying I absolutely adored this place before they completely changed their identity. Sadly, the newly redone place is just not good. I was a frequent lunch flyer prior to the «revamp» and now I’m severely disappointed. Not only have the prices increased exponentially, the majority of the old menu is gone (no more spicy tuna burrito is a huge disappointment). The entire place just doesn’t have the same feel nor does it satisfy the craving for a delicious (and economical) meal. I may give it one more chance before writing it off for good, but given the new pricing there is absolutely no way I will frequent this place as often. Such a loss… going out for lunch just won’t be the same.

They changed name and concept wrap n roll is gone they also raised prices this place used to be a must go really good they got rid of my favorite «loaded musubi» I won’t go back that’s for sure.

Why change something that was so good? I’m sad they changed the concept and ingredients. It’s now focused on Poke bowls, with a Chipotle-​style assembly line where they assemble the Poke bowl in front of you. The Poke bowl was just ok – You get 5 scoops of any fish (choose from salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, albacore, scallops, octopus) and can add an assortment of veggies like kale, seaweed, cucumber, jalapeños, etc. I got the Ponzu sauce on top and the taste of the bowl didn’t blow me away. I feel like it was not worth the $ 14 I had to fish out. They also changed the name to Make Sushi. I used to be a huge fan, but with the raises prices and the ok quality, I won’t be back. Bring back the old Wrap and Roll! :(

Wrap n Roll was a weekly stop in for me– I am currently the duchess of this joint and I don’t even check in that religiously. So sad to see it gone and replaced with something so much more expensive, disorganized, and without my favorite burritos. The four stars are in memory for what we used to have. RIP Wrap n Roll, we had a good thing going and you will be missed. Not a fan of the new concept.

The way to order food is now similar to chipotle! Order what you like and customizable! Staff is super nice. I kind of miss the easier menu, but the new style (modeled after «Make Fish») is also convenient.

So SAD! Raised prices and a bad concept.
They destroyed a good thing. We really loved this place until today. My wife and I have been here a bunch of times. But recently they changed their entire setup, so they’re like a chipotle. The problem is that they had great menu items. Now they are charging $ 13+ for a wrap and you need to pay an extra buck for most things.
We won’t be back :(

I first tried them when they opened in Elk Grove a few years ago, we didn’t care for it much, but living close to Midtown made it hard for us to not give them another shot.
Food: I ordered the Panko Chicken, but swapped the panko out for grilled chicken (trying to be a bit healthy, yadidamean?). My sushi burrito came with chicken, cabbage, cilantro, cucumbers, guac, carrots, cilantro & tempura flakes. It was tasty, but I expected more. Maybe, just maybe, it’s my fault for not ordering a sushi burrito with fish. My boyfriend ordered the softshell crab and I straight up asked him to swap half of mine before he could realize my sushi burrito was mediocre. The teriyaki & aioli sauce supplied an amazing amount of flavor and moisture. I mention the moistness, because my sushi burrito was pretty dry before drenching it with soy sauce. Generally, fresh, filling and appetizing, but not the most palatable either.
Service: Super friendly and helpful staff.
Ambiance: Hip, clean, spacious and airy!
Price: $ 9 — $ 11 bucks for a healthy portioned sushi burrito.
Overall: Good flavors, but not what I expected. Just another run of the mill novelty.

Was craving a sashimi burrito after work one day, and was mildly disappointed. I got volcano nachos and sashimi burrito (and asked the cashier if I could add wakame and she did so. Free of charge!). Which I think is a better alternative than getting the triple sashimi for a few dollars more that comes with wakame. The chips from the volcano nacho were kind of stale. The guacamole on the nachos were kind of black too. So maybe it was a near end of the day thing? But def won’t be getting the volcano nachos again unless I’m super craving.
On to the sashimi burrito… I felt there was too much mayo. I was also disappointed with the size of the burrito. I have been eating at wrap and roll (at both the Elk Grove and Midtown location) and I feel like the size keeps getting smaller. The fish and deep fried shrimp were decent. I think I just got sick of the mayo to really enjoy my burrito.
I’ve made sushi burrito at home before, and today was one of those days where I come home from work, too lazy to buy groceries and roll in to the kitchen (pun intended). So I won’t be coming back unless I’m having another one of my lazy days.

I’ve always loved the concept of sushirittos. I’ve had sushiritto in SF, but I’d have to say this place is much better. The venue is bigger and more welcoming. The service is quick and friendly. And the food is tasty and affordable. I got the cheapest thing on the menu last time, and it was still bomb af. I’ll for sure be back!

I’m not sure how to feel about this place, I think awkward is the right word. The atmosphere was forced, they were trying to be trendy and came off as surgical, but not clean surgical. They spent a ton of time on a look then finished with cheap folding chairs and tables.
The staff was all really nice, the food was good but not really sushi. I have to agree that the fish is cheap or the sushi chef doesn’t know the sushi ropes yet. There was skin on my sashimi. My husband had a tempaura roll it was good. We shared Tokyo fries which are amazing. I liked my sashimi roll the skin ruined it, also I think it had mayo. mayo has no place in sushi.
I’m not a soda drinker, ts still suprising when a restraunt dent have soft drinks as an option just bottled (boxed) water and bottled drinks.
The atmosphere sorta bugged me I can’t place why, I was just uneasy the entire time I was there.
They were dead on a Friday night at 7 pm, that should have been a sign.

I went to check this place out because I’ve been dying to try Sushiritto, but that was too far. so I figured why not try something similar to it.
I wasn’t too big a fan of this place, and I don’t really have much to compare it to since I’ve never tried Sushiritto. However, I feel as though the choices are very limited, most of the rolls contained raw fish, which I’m not too big a fan of. I know, I know, how can you go to a sushi place and not want raw fish ???
Well I’m just a lover of unagi okay? Unagi is a way of life. And there was no unagi.
The fries were good though. Flavorful, crunchy, delicious.

Went in here the other day with my friend. Me and her also went to the wrap n roll in Elk Grove! So this is our first time for this location.
I ordered the «deep fried burrito». Ah, I personally … Thought it was okay. Everything in it was perfect but the batter or having it be deep fried gave me a bad stomach ache. After eating it or just taking every bite of it I kept tasting bitterness. I’ll come back to this location to try more though! I just won’t be getting the deep fried burrito again. Hey, at least I got to try it to see if I liked it or not! And that’s what it is all about! :)
Can’t wait to come back and try more! This location is a cute set up by the way! Looks very relaxing and it is!

We were on our way to Lake Tahoe and stopped by Sacramento for a lunch + driving break. We tried 4 different sushi burrito plus a fries dish. All were fresh, well prepared and delicious. I especially liked the soft shell crab burrito because the fried crab added extra crunch. Highly recommended.
Service was excellent. Especially considering it’s a order-​at-​the-​cash-​register type of minimal service restaurant.

Burrito sized sushi! Similar concept to Sushirrito in SF, although I’ve never been to that place. Pretty cool and unique concept, the sushi is good (I don’t think it’s AMAZING) but it’s the only place in the area that makes sushi like this.
The tempura shrimp sushi burrito is extremely messy since the outside is covered in red tempura flakes and gets everywhere if you’re not careful. They also cut the sushi burritos in half so if you and a friend order different things, you two can share and try out different sushi burritos!
I also like their carne fries. It’s a cheaper option than ordering a sushi burrito but just as filling!

I was at Ginger Elizabeth’s and decided to grab something to eat. I debated between getting the volcano nachos or Tokyo fries. I ended up getting the nachos. They were a disappointment. The wonton chips were stale and I ended up discarding most of them. I ate the tuna and other ingredients though. My stomach ended up regretting it. I’m not sure how fresh the tuna was. Hopefully this was just a fluke because I love the concept of sushi burritos and I enjoyed them at their Elk Grove location.

If you’re craving sushi, but don’t want to pay for sushi, sushiritto is your answer. I don’t know who came up with the idea, but it’s genius. I know there are a bunch of sushiritto places in SF, but this is the first one I’ve tried.
I’m fairly new to the world of raw fish, and it takes me a few times at a restaurant to trust their raw stuff, so I went with the shrimp tempura burrito. My friend got the triple sashimi which had two types of tuna and salmon. Both rolls were massive! They come pre-​cut in two halves. Each half had three big tempura shrimps, lots of cucumber, and imitation crab. The house aioli added a nice flavor but was mostly at the ends of the burrito, which is my only complain with my food. I asked for extra aioli and that helped with the flavor. The triple sashimi burrito had so much fish too! I’m at a loss as to how this place makes money. They definitely give you at least 2x the amount of fish in each burrito compared to one sushi roll (which is much smaller and almost always more expensive).
We also got the volcano nachos to try, and this was definitely my favorite! Lots of wontons, toppings (including guac and wakame salad) and tuna. The spicy sauce have it a nice kick. Since we ate most of the nachos, we only ate half of our burritos and took the rest home.
Overall, great prices (8.95 for tempura roll, 10.95 for triple sashimi, and 7.95 for volcano nachos), and tasty food. I’m coming back the next time I’m craving sushi but don’t quite want to spend $ 25 on dinner.

Not a fan at all. The fish was not fresh or good quality. It’s definitely cheap fish. Also, when we went the light apparently was out so you couldn’t see the menu which was on the wall. I had to have the guy who worked there read me what they had and it took forever to order. There were people in line behind us that we’re getting irritated that it was taking so long but we had never been there and had never had a sushi burrito. When we finally got it my daughter took a bite and said it was really spicy. When we told the guy he said it’s because they out jalapeño or something in it. They should either get better lighting or paper menus that you can look at. It made it so hard to order.

This place needs to open another location is SF/​SJ area ASAP. I personally prefer this place over the highly over hyped sushirrito in the bay area. I think Wrap N’ Roll has better burrito combinations.
Sushi done california style which means sushi burrito! Because we all know californians love burritos. I love it because I feel like you get so much more than just a regular sushi roll and at about the same price too!
It’s about $ 10-​$ 12 for a sushi burrito and it’s so worth it. They pack in a lot of fish and other good stuff. I love the triple sashimi and the crab one: D SOOOO GOOD. If you’re feeling raw fish go with the triple sashimi, so much fish. I really like the crab one if you’re feeling something crunchy. One burrito is enough to make you full but if you’re feeling extra hungry then I recommend the nachos. I think in the nachos you get a good amount of fish to go with the chips as opposed to the fries.

Have always wanted to try a sushi burrito. This place is a gem in sac and I really liked the flavors. It wasn’t too busy at all and they had a nice selection of different types. My hubby had the Triple sashimi burrito that he raves about… I had the deep fried sushi burrito, which was ok. I should have gotten one that was not deep fried. Oh and it is very filling, that we could have done without the Tokyo fries… they are filling though.
The restaurant is not too big, but has outdoor seating. Which is nice for a not so hot day. We’ll be back again I’m sure.

Food:
— Tempura Shrimp Sushiritto: tempura shrimp, imitation crab, cucumbers, cabbage, guacamole, and aioli sauce, wrapped in white rice and seaweed paper and rolled in red tempura flakes. Really good. ⁴⁄₅
— Soft Shell Crab Sushiritto: deep fried soft shell crab, imitation crab, cucumbers, guacamole, tobiko, and teriyaki sauce, wrapped in whit rice and seaweed paper. Good but not as good as the other two sushirittos. 3.75÷5
— Yellow Tail Sushiritto: yellow tail, tempura shrimp, fried wonton strips, guacamole, cucumbers, jalapeños, and tobiko, wrapped in white rice and seaweed paper. Very tasty. I like the extra crunch from the fried wonton strips. 4.5÷5
— Tokyo Fries: fries topped with tobiko, crushed red peppers, sesame seeds, cilantro, green onions, habanera and Sriracha aioli. These fries are addicting! ⁵⁄₅
Service: Fair. ³⁄₅
Final Thoughts: If you love sushi and you love burritos, then this is the place for you! The sushirittos are huge and filling. I would definitely come back and try other items.
