I tried this place today, inside the community center by the library in west Sacramento. I got the roast beef sandwich. It was absolutely amazing! Service is great and although the place had closed, the gentleman at the restaurant made me my sandwich! Absolute made my day and I will be back for lunch every time I can! Can’t wait to try all their sandwich options!

It’s like the new Primanti Bros sandwich out of Pittsburgh, with the West Coast variant of BBQ tofu on a sandwich with fries. Yeah, that’s what I had. A bit expensive for a sandwich but a large calorically delicious sandwich. Just do it. If you can find them.

I’ve since had the opportunity to try the spicy capicola and bahn mi fries. Same comments about the sandwich, would prefer the fries on the side, but all individual ingredients are delicious. As for the Bahn Mi Fries, these are excellent! I doubt I will ever have one of their sandwiches again. Only wish I had tried these fries before all the sandwiches. Definitely my favorite item on the menu. Seriously debated a 4 star rating, but only because it is a sandwich joint, I’ve got to stick with 3 stars, but the fries are an easy 5 star for me.

Went to the downtown plaza during my lunch break and stumbled upon Wiched ‘wich. Amazing sandwich — Rocky Balboa — Really good steak and the spicy wich sauce is really tasty. Perfect amount of fries and steak!!! loved it! I also had the garlic with black pepper fries. very tasty! Will come back again!

After posting my previous review, the owner or manager let me know he’d gladly give me a free do-over with a properly-sauced sandwich. While I never took him up on his offer, I HAVE returned to Wicked ‘wich through their Downtown mall location on two occassions, and I have to say I am a fan! I had the Miss Saigon the other day — which may or may not be authentic — but regardless is very tasty. Today I had the BBQ one — I think it’s the Holly Molly or something. Not sure. At anyrate — pulled pork and simply lovely coleslaw. I take about ½ the fries out of the sandwich, but I agree they add a tasty twist. The only draw back? These sandwiches are so filling you can’t eat a whole one(okay — I can’t — maybe you can!) and you’re so stuffed it’s hard to walk back to work! Also — the Miss Saigon probably isn’t a good traveler, since it’s pretty saucey. Thanks Wicked ‘Wich!

Had a pulled pork, bacon, cheddar, fries, and slaw sandwich today. It was tastey and a huge portion. I would definintely suggest that they use smaller bread slices though. Each piece was over an inch thick and that much bread is completely unnecessarily with a sandwich that has so many heavy items on it.

Since Gourmet Food Trucks(GFT’s) have exploded on the scene, there have been quite a few solid GFT’s and a number of stellar ones. Wicked Wich is always a 3 or 4 star, and that is simply due to personal preference and taste. They have great, big sandwiches that would feed a normal person(hello, America!) and they are always pleasant and friendly. If they are in your area(look them up on Facebook, Twitter, etc.), they are worth the time!

Super cute truck first off! Very creative. Nice, friendly workers too. Vegan Tree Hugger sandwich wasn’t too great — super salty. Probably would pass on it if I saw the truck around again.

Grub sandwiches with big fluffy bread and lots of choices to choose from. It was hard to choose, but I went with the pastrami with swiss cheese, fries, coleslaw and horseradish. I was hesitant about having fries inside the sandwich, but they were good. I pulled some of them out and they came out with some tasty melted cheese. I couldn’t taste the horseradish, which was a bummer since that was what leaned me in the direction of that sandwich. With the bread being so fluffy, it wasn’t too heavy. When I brought the sandwich over to my group of friends, they said there was no way one person could eat it all(I think they just wanted to eat it themselves). I proved them wrong and polished that puppy off with just sharing a few bites since I knew they were dying to taste it. Want to try all their sandwiches!

Was with Elaine F on a Wednesday afternoon and she literally changed her evening plans to try Wicked ‘wich, lol. So we brought our boys and got dinner to go. There was no line, even though there was a crowd of people around. Everything on the menu sounded good, but I settled on the Rocky Balboa. For me, I’m cheap, so $ 10 is a little pricey, but damn. If I’m going to spend $ 10 on a sandwich, I want it to be this one. Bread is thick, meat is tender, and the fries are INSIDETHESANDWICH. whoa! So, you are getting a side of fries. they’re just in the sandwich. Everyone really enjoyed their sandwich, and especially considering they’re made to order, food came out quick. I recommend extra napkins and eating slow-it’ll take a while to get through your massive Wicked ‘wich. You might have left overs but I didn’t, I ate it all. Not to worry about having cash on you-they accept credit cards.

Great turkey sandwich! Having this all-in-one sammie was soooo good! The fries on the bacon on the turkey on the cheese with that salt/vinegar slaw between those yummy soft pieces of bread… just wonderful. I look forward to finding this food truck again and partaking in whatever they suggest because I know it’s just gonna be great :)

I love food truck food. It’s fun tracking them down, and getting to splurge on a real treat every now and then. There were only three sandwiches to choose from, I went with the turkey sandwich. It was bland and dry. If it weren’t for the coleslaw on it, I would have tossed it out. It was a HUGE sandwich and too much for me to eat, but nothing to get excited about. I was less than impressed by Wicked ‘Wich which is a bummer because I really wanted to love them!

Delicious lunch(with high quality ingredients) for under $ 10 and very friendly service. I had no plans to try Wicked ‘wich until I saw this line from David O.‘s review: «That said, even the Filipino woman at work that doesn’t understand the vanilla face fascination with meals between bread admitted she enjoyed this sandwich.» I am definitely the brown woman in my office who does not understand why my coworkers continually go out for sandwiches. I tend to think they are overrated and overpriced. This felt like a sandwich I could not make at home(doin’ way too much…) and was a great value — that thing is huge. Definitely check this place out.

Awesome sandwich! The Wicked ‘wich truck was parked at my kid’s elementary school for a function they had there. The sandwiches we ordered were all great. I had the Coppa and it was killer. I had to work hard to sneak a taste of the other sandwiches I ordered for the lady and the kids — so good they didn’t want to give any of it up! The ‘wich truck throws out some awesome eats.

Whoah. Did not expect such divine bites at the beer fest last weekend. I was wrong. This veggie kilbasa ‘wich was beyond tasty. The bread, the fries, the sauce, the slaw, the everything packed in between two slices of bread was DELICIOUS!!! The guys in line were all googly-eyed over my sandwich, asking what I ordered. I told them to pay no mind to the fact that there were no dead animals on it and just order it. I admit, sometimes there’s some strange veggie food but this sandwich was not one of those. The service was great, the woman working the register was super friendly and even gave me suggestions. The two that were in the back were as well and the food came out quick! I usually try to find restaurants I love and go back, but this one takes«trying to find a place to eat» to a whole new level. It might be a good way to explore the city!

I got the hot coppa sandwich which was delicious but ridiculous! How the fig am I supposed to eat such a freaking HUGE sandwich? Slice of bread, meat, produce, more meat, french fries, more meat, big slop of slaw… the sandwich is knee-high before they slam the 2nd bread slice on it! I ended up eating most of it piecemeal. Also got the pierogis served with sour cream and onions *drooooool*

So I’ve had their buffalo blue cheese fries, chili cheese fries and their pastrami sandwich. I have to say they were all amazing!!! The fries they make are always crispy even with chili on them. I mean it won’t stay crispy all day but they still stay pretty crisp even with some chilli on them. The sandwich was suprprisingly good as I am not a fan of slaw at all! The slaw was lightly flavored with a little sweetness to it? The pastrami meat was also amazing it was not greasy or fatty. It was tender and juicy. I hope they dont get rid of their buffalo blue cheese fries as the buffalo sauce is not too spicy and just perfect. Also their chilli cheese fries are probably the best I’ve had. They switched to a cheese sauce which I am not a fan of… but still it was delicious. Please stay with the real grated cheese. The chilli is to die for… I’m waiting for the day they put it on a sandwich!

Sounds gimmicky, tastes delicious. I can’t deny the ‘wich cranks out a quality product. I was skeptical of the slaw and fries IN the sandwich, but turns out there’s a bit of substance with that funky style The unmistakable scent of fresh bread hit me like a carb loaded wave the moment I got my sandwich. Crazy fresh bread. It’s like you go to a nice restaurant and then you are all like,“Aww, l nawww. Now I’m too full to eat my entrée!” I’d be all like, «f#@k it» and proceed to devour my entrée, but you’d probably be like,“box it”. The bread is good, that’s what I’m trying to say. The meats are seasoned well too. Spicy capicola and pastrami are both pretty tasty. The slaw acts like a sauerkraut adding a subtle sweetness and texture to balance the savory, spicy meats. The fries are just fun to eat in the sandwich. It works. Don’t fear the concept, embrace it, because the quality of the ingredients is legit. You’ll like it because you know, well, I’ll just provide a link . That said, even the Filipino woman at work that doesn’t understand the vanilla face fascination with meals between bread admitted she enjoyed this sandwich. Now that’s pretty wicked. Being out of items seems to be the only disappointment I see. WW is probably out of some items even if you are the first customer of the day. Per their Feisbuk their menu has so many items it’s impossible to carry them at all times. Others choose to pair down their menu and deliver the goods, WW went another route which will turn off some. My 2nd choice was good enough for me to want to get wicked again. The quality is there, I say do it.

The menu is simple. Sandwiches made with your choice of meat topped with provolone cheese, seasoned fries, coleslaw and tomatoes. I wasn’t too excited by the menu but I knew I would eventually track them down because I’m a fan of food trucks. I ordered the spicy capicola sandwich w/egg. I didn’t know what capicola was but I was trying to be adventurous. I didn’t like the fluffy white bread that was used for the sandwich. After a few bites I discarded the top piece and ate it as an open faced sandwich. I didn’t like the seasoned fries in the sandwich either. They sort of blended into the sandwich and didn’t have a distinctive taste. Maybe it needed more seasoning. I prefer crispy fries. The coleslaw was pickled. It added a crunch to the sandwich but not much else. I liked the meat, egg, and cheese but the sandwich as a whole not so much. FYI– Capicola is an Italian cold cut made from pork shoulder or neck, and dry-cured whole. Thanks Wikipedia!

So they DO exist! After cyber-stalking this place for 2 months, they finally made their debut today. And it was worth it! I was watching Food Network the other day and they were featuring a place in Pittsburgh that did the whole slaw and fries deal on the sandwich, and I thought to myself, «Hey, that sounds like what Wicked ‘Wich has on their menu!» and sure enough, it was. I went with a hot pastrami sandwich. As mentioned, it’s topped with what looks to be an oil-based coleslaw and french fries in addition to tomato and provolone cheese. The bread for this one is pretty thick, too. Given everything that’s on here, it’s necessary. Normal bread wouldn’t hold this monster together. When it was served, it came with a fork, and at first, I was wondering why. As I started to eat it, I figured that out pretty quickly. Things were falling everywhere. Delicious things, mind you, so the fork was helpful. The pastrami itself was quite nice too! As a package, it’s one of the better sandwiches I’ve had in quite some time. Also, it was kind of interesting that the sandwich wasn’t quite a hot sandwich, nor was it a cold sandwich. All of the different ingredients gave it a pretty diverse bunch of flavors/textures/temperatures. But the package itself was great. I’m planning on heading back as soon as I can. Perhaps Second Saturday? I believe they’ll be there, for any other fellow cyber-stalkers. Maybe this time the Capicola? We’ll see!
