I enjoyed a mini sandwich this afternoon for lunch and was the perfect portion size. However I was not a fan of the sourdough bread. The texture was strange after it was heated up. Next time I’ll try a different bread choice or opt for a cold sandwich. Overall the sand which makers are friendly and its a quick and easy place for lunch on campus.

It’s kind of ridiculous how you have to wait in line for 20 minutes. The elderly workers are a lot friendlier than the younger ones. The food is good but not worth the 20 minute wait.

Almost always a good bet to get a sub here. I’ve only had an order delivered wrong once.

Probably the healthiest place on campus. A lot of people complain about the line and how slow it is but you have 2 – 3 people making your sandwiches with care and asking you attentive questions on what you want for your order. And making sure its not sloppy. Its also nice to chit chat with them. Prices are okay would rather come here then nasty subway on campus. I’d much prefer togos over subway anywhere I go. I always get the asian chicken salad wrap tossed with the toasted spinach. They never put too little or too much dressing which is great and I always feel re-energized whenever I eat here. Would come again. Probably the best/healthiest place on campus.

Customer service was great. I am a Sac state student and it’s usually packed so I never bothered going until one Friday afternoon after the gym. It’s really slow service but great food!

I was honestly shocked at how great the customer service was here! Every single Togos I have been to in my life has had such rude employees who never smile or chat. I’m not even a big Togos fan but because the employees were so nice to me, I’ll come back:)

As an advocate for the disabled, it does trouble me that Cheng Wang was let go without explanation or consideration. The students of the university really seem to have valued his friendly and outgoing customer service. It is unfortunate that when someone is differently abled that we don’t always embrace the human resource they can be. Cheng sounds like he was an integral part of the community experience of the campus, one should really take a moment and see what is lost when people are treated in such a way as not to value their service.

They used to have great service until they let go of Cheng. Food is ok, but it was really the time to talk to Cheng that brought me to this place. Definitley will go else where until he’s back.

It was my first time trying The Asian Chicken Wrap! Omg it was delicious! The service was fast and quick, however the team member wasn’t customer friendly. Maybe I’m overreacting but she sounded rude. Overall I’d come back again and get the Asian chicken wrap!

Honey Dijon Mustard on the Turkey Sandwich. Order the turkey sandwich and ask for the honey dijon mustard. You will never eat the sandwich any other way again. I did it on a whim and wow.

I tried this place about 3 – 4 different times while attending Sac State and just never cared for it. The reason I kept coming back was because I wanted to like it so much … but alas it just wasn’t meant to be. The people were super nice, the line was long but always went fast, and the ingredients looked fresh; all these things should’ve equaled 4⁄5 starts — but because my taste buds never acquired I have to give it a 3. This Togo’s was right next to where most of my classes/labs were which made it super convenient to visit. As I mentioned earlier there was always a line, but it moved fast and the employees were very very nice the entire time they were helping you. Not to mention that the manager was there a good amount of the time and he made everything so pleasant. They are just like any other Togo’s so if you like the others then you’ll like this place as well — which makes sense that I don’t care for it too much since I don’t care for their sandwiches in general. Maybe it was the great service I always got that kept me coming back? Anyways, it is a very great establishment to have on campus and am glad that it is doing very well … since we’ve all seen the other food shops there come and go …

I’m kinda bummed I graduated from Sac State in at least one instance: I’m kinda gonna miss this Togo’s! They constantly have specials going on to accommodate the college crowd. They work faster than the employees at other stores since there’s such a high flow of traffic coming in daily. And they don’t give you lip when you switch about 20 different things on your samich. Now they have a bunch of new snacks to go along side your samich besides chips: apples, bananas, potato salad, hummus, yogurt, ect. Not to mention a wide variety of drinks that other Togo’s just don’t offer. I love a good ol’ half turkey and cheese and half farmers market salad. Or if I’m feeling like a fatty i’ll get a pastrami rueben(minus the sauerkraut that way they don’t charge you extra for adding cheese to your pastrami). Hey! A college kids gotta save =)

The workers are always helpful and the cashier is welcoming. They do listen to what you want intently so that assures me of my order being made right The price of this Togo’s is like any other. I actually attend sac state so it’s convenient and affordable.

I was pleasantly surprised at this trip to togos. Feeling a little exhausted after st patties day fun, I wanted something simple and comforting before leaving campus for work. I got the salami and cheese on sourdough. The woman who helped me hooked it up! Yum! Plus she gave me a sample of their special… It’s this lemon pepper tuna… Divine! I will be going back!

This is my favorite togos in all of Sacramento. I’m a huge fan. I love the pastrami sandwich i grew up on them with extra pepperchinis. Sometimes the line gets lunch during lunchtime. but I usually call ahead on my way walking and its ready by the time i’m there. hopefully no one knows my secret. as I am posting it up here…=) I just wish the riverfront was open later. I love the sandwich and soda guy. His story is really touching… He’s such a kind guy always commenting nicely on everyone’s clothes or saying hi.

The sandwiches are good. The price point isn’t too bad. Wireless Internet in the Riverfront Center is usually good. It’s usually easy to find seating. I wish the Riverfront Center stayed open longer. Late-night eating in the University Union gets old quick. I’ve always been more interested in the Asian man who stands by the Togo’s food stand and yells«It’s a lunchtime» in the Library Quad. The man, as reported by Natayle S. in the student newspaper, is Cheng Wang. The Chinese-native moved to the United States in 1989 and earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Sacramento, in 1993. A couple months later, Wang suffered a stroke and had to begin a long rehabilitation process. He now works as an on-call translator for the University of California, Davis and pitches sandwiches to the students who walk by him. You can read more about him by visiting The State Hornet Web site and searching«It’s lunchtime.» Wang is the kind of person you walk by almost every day and regret finding out about his story once he, or you, have left. Now that I’m in the real world, I miss hearing«Sandwich and soda, $ 5.»
