I honestly have no idea why it takes so long to get your food here. I can’t figure out if its the lack of sense of urgency from the staff, the food takes long cooking or grilling. or I really don’t know. But listen to the reviews, if you have less than 10 minutes to spare then don’t come here. Even drinks take a while to come out. Their menu items, including paninis, breakfast sandwiches, burgers, etc are all on the pricey side. The paninis are okay. They are big(but they are around 5 bucks so.) They usually cut it in half and if you practice good self control you can save the other half for later. The reason why they are so filling is because the bread portion is huge. The plus side of The Buzz is that they have a lot of seating and the staff is pretty nice for the most part. They have nice condiment station that includes ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper(they need to add some hot sauce packets though!) and a nice selection of additives for your drinks. I’m still willing to give this place another chance and will come back to try their Buzz Burger.

Chicken and Swiss panini combo was so good! Dip it in ranch and it’ll be worth $ 8.40 + 50 cents for ranch.

Wait time for a breakfast sandwich is at least 20mins. But tastes great. Not convenient for Csus students who have to get to next class

The fries were exceptional however the garden burger was burnt. They got the wrong cheese and I had to wait for about 20 minutes.

Coffee place was out of iced coffee. Again. I understand that they get busy but how does this keep happening?

A little pricey for being on campus, on a students budget share a meal. The food is delish and freshly made on order. Fries are amazing and fruit was not so sweet but quantity is good. Its located in university union/open to the public.

What can I really say about The Buzz? I come here often to do homework or doodle, basically. Pros: — Menu consists of breakfast, lunch, and beverage options — Seating area is bigger than Java City on campus — Staff is nice and attentive — You have the option of premade food or cooked food at your disposal — Take cash and card — On the Sacramento State Campus — Area is well-maintained Cons: — Their coffee can be a bit watered down — Pricing can be a bit overwhelming for the amount you get. — Orders take a bit long to come out but if you’re patient then it shouldn’t be a problem Their paninis are pretty good! I wouldn’t necessarily get my drinks here, but I’d probably come back for their food instead. It’s fast and convenient if you’re in the mood for a decent sandwich/burger and aren’t feeling Burger King or Good Eats.

I got a chicken chipotle panini and it was a little disappointing. It sounds so great but once I opened the wrapper, it was maybe 75% bread! Lol it was still pretty good but I had to rip off pieces of the bread. I do see other pictures of their other paninis that look bomb so Im sure I chose the wrong one for my own liking. The staff was nice though and they all look like real hard working college students!

Despite a few service related hiccups in my first semester here, I’ve come to love the Buzz. Today, I’m warm and happy after having a burger(solid effort: hot patty, nice char, nice bun, tomato, lettuce, pickle), fries(seasoned to perfection), and a soy English Breakfast tea latte. Very satisfied.

Great food from the paninis to the buzz burger! Plus the staff is nice and friendly. The best thing to get is a peach mango ice tea, some extra seasoned fries and anything else on the menu!

This is the only place for soup on campus that isn’t loaded with salt. Not particularly notable in terms of flavor, but it’s a decent amount of soup for fairly cheap(a bowl is $ 4.35) and they’ll usually give you extra bread if you ask. In a pinch, it works to stave off my hunger until dinner.

Cashiers can be clueless and give you a hard time. If you have a large order to place they piece out everything in these little paper bags and don’t help with even trying to find a larger carrier… Meh on the customer service. Go figure, they are all students… Luckily their food is decent.

I used to go here a lot during my long breaks but I haven’t been in a couple months. The make your own salad bar is sooo good and cheap!(Much less expensive than the pre-made salads) Their paninis are really good and you get a lot for what you pay for. I used to get the turkey one and I would always save half of it because I couldn’t finish it. The line is always long so only come here if you have enough time to wait.

I wanted something light, healthy and filling. I always walk past and see people going in and out, so I decided to give it a try today. To the left are cold sandwiches, yogurt, yogurt parfaits and some naked bottled drinks. The menu consisted of burgers and sandwiches, the panini caught my eye. I debated between the Sicilian turkey or the swiss turkey, and I chose the sicilian because the cashier recommended that. great choice it was! I ordered the combo with chips and an iced tea. It was a choice of iced tea or soda, and a choice of chips or fries. The iced tea was awesome because it was brewed strong, no lemons thought. Free refills by the way! The panini was nice and hot, the cook took great care and time to grill my bread perfectly, as well as put together neatly. The combo was $ 8.20 total if I remember correctly. Staff was nice and smiling. It was pretty calm and relaxing in there with the dimmed lighting. I will be a returning customer.

I always come here for lunch when I’m feeling like I want something comforting. Their food is amazingly delicious! I’ve had their grilled breakfast panini with Swiss and bacon. I’ve also had it with sausage. Both is pretty delicious. Their fries are also Delish. Always fresh and hot. Wait line is pretty long if you go there during lunch time, but other times are okay. A must try if you’re at Sacramento State!

So University Enterprises took ownership of operating The Buzz, and its for the worse… First big change is the missing salad bar. T_T I’m sad that this is actually gone now. Now getting to my latest experience here at The Buzz, I had a Maui Burger with fries. Before the ownership change, the burgers here were pretty good(slightly overpriced, whatever its an on-campus place) but the Maui Burger that I had was a complete mess. Soggy bun, a patty that overwhelmed that bun it was on, and assembled like a complete mess. They used to toast the buns on the grill before the ownership change, I guess these UEI cheapos don’t even do this anymore. Overall, I was very disappointed in my experience here and I don’t think I’ll be eating here again on campus anymore. This place used to be good, but not anymore. :(

I love The Buzz! I go here quite often. My personal favorite is the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich with a fruit cup and an Ice Tea. The BBQ Chicken panini is pretty amazing as well. If you’re on campus, I’d definitely give this place a try!

Fat Fries, Greasy cheesy sandwiches. I got the BBQ chicken. Its a pretty good foodie place on the CSUS campus. I couldn’t finish my sandwich because it was so rich. It looked like they put 2 slices of cheese on each bread slice and dipped the chicken in a bbq sauce that i’ve never tasted. It had a smokey, sweet taste to it and it smelled woody :) I’d come here if sparingly because the food is so filling and I’m not a big fan of greasy american food.

The Buzz is tucked in the corner of the union near the game room which houses the pool tables. I discovered this place my first semester at Csus and been in love since then. Since it is tucked away, not much people come here so I find this place a good area to study and enjoy their delicious panini! I will say most of the time it is a good place to study but there are times when groups of people will come which will make you want to leave but when I’ve gone, it’s been pretty mellow. I’ve gotten the chipotle and BBQ beef panini and I’ve also had their bacon cheeseburger. Everything is made to order so expect the food to be fresh and delicious. The paninis are huge for the price and I find myself only being able to finish half of the panini. Fries are delicious and crisp and their condiment bar has many options including siracha! They also have a salad bar and premade salads as well. Everyday they have specials so it’s not just paninis; for example today’s special was fish and chips. The only con I would say is the price b/c my panini combo was about $ 8-$ 9 which is a lot considering we’re college students so I tend to not come here too often but your getting great quality for the price and as for me, I generally save half of my panini for later since I’m usually on campus for a long time.
