Best Subway I have been to since moving to Sacramento. There are locations much closer to our home that I won’t go in ever again. I eat at Subway at least once a week and these guys do a great job. There is always that one dud employee(if she could just not look like she’s being tortured!!) at any establishment but there are a couple of really great, friendly girls working here. Maybe it’s the«corporate kool-aid», call it what you want but they make you feel welcome and aim-to-please. That’s not easy to find anymore. The food is good & fresh and what you should expect from Subway

I came here during lunch hour, very long line. I needed 3 sandwiches made and the employees, Spencer and Matthew were very friendly and talkative but also moved quickly and efficiently. The veggies were fresh and the bread was also fresh and just baked. The man at the registered appeared to be the owner and was very friendly with excellent customer service and greeted every person that walked in. This is one of the best subways I have been in. I’m definitely making it my #1 subway spot.

I go to this Subway about one or twice a month. Every time I visit this restaurant I receive excellent customer service and the food is always what I expect. This is best Subway in Sacramento. Great job to all staff and management.

Avoid this location. They use old veggies. What else are they cutting corners on? Also, service is very slow. They have 1 person making sandwiches during lunch hours. I waited 15 minutes before getting a chance to order. Pathetic!

Stopped by last night for a Chopped Turkey Salad… Melissa was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable… because of her, I am back tonight, another CTS but by Christopher and superbly done, very friendly service at a reasonable price… I will be back

I frequent this subway weekly and even some times twice a week. The staff is super friendly and make good suggestions regarding what to put on the sandwich. They really care about their customers. You get a greeting right when you walk in even when the are really busy.

I came here one week ago during lunch time on Sunday and the friendly lady was great. I rarely eat at sandwich shops but I would not mind coming back here to have another sandwich. When the sandwiches are all the same, a great employee can really make a difference.

This place finally has a great employee that doesn’t come across as fake and noisy. Obvious she was not trained by that person who I think was the Manager. Cabrina was very friendly made recommendations and the most amazing breakfast sandwich. I will be back now(only when that annoying manager is not here)

Standard Subway, so there isn’t really much to say about the food selection. I work part time nearby, so I come in to get five dollar foot longs. I really like the staff at this Subway though– they are super friendly. The first time I was here it was my first time ever ordering a Subway sandwich, and the employees were super nice and helpful!

This place need some work. Staff is unfriendly. They have tapwater!!! Produce is not as fresh as many other locations. Some of the cookies are over cooked.

Not bad but for a Philly cheesesteak you need mushrooms!

It’s a subway, so the food is unremarkable, but the staff is friendly enough. I work close, and the food is quick and inexpensive, so I come here fairly often. The staff is friendly though and I appreciate it. Definitely don’t come right at noon the line takes awhile, but it’s good for a late or early lunch.

I love subway and its $ 5 footlongs, but seriously this subway is hands down the worst in town. The service was very unenthusiastic and exuded a «I HATEMYJOB» vibe. It’s like, okay we know you work at subway and have been here since like 2004, but seriously? Put a fake a smile on if you want a tip. So I went in recently to order a sandwich, asked about the dark ham with like the weird«wood smoked» name or something, and the dude was just like«uh, it’s ham» and I’m like«I know, but what’s it like?» and he just repeated himself but in a rude tone. So I was like, okay thanks nevermind! and I waited til he walked away and I asked the chipper lady to make my sandwich. another time a couple of years ago the same guy made me a sandwich and literally just slapped the ingredients on, like it was so unpleasant and rude, and I asked for parmesan cheese and he literally sprinkled like 8 parmesan cheese flakes. I was like dude, I’m not paying for this crapppy sanwich, sorry. and I left. DON’T COMEHERE, PEOPLE. NOTTOTHISSUBWAY the one by press club is better. there’s one on J and 13th that is pretty cool too, and they smile and are bubbly!

Subway is everything they market themselves to be — affordable, fresh(as fresh as processed meats can be), convenient, local, etc. In the end, it’s Subway and not Taylor’s sandwich counter. That said, this is clearly a case where the staff makes the difference. The staff at this Subway drinks the corporate Kool-aid, but they are also earnest in their approach. I appreciate their transparency, honesty, and the fact that they work hard to make what you want, how you want it. I also appreciate the frequent hand washing — while transitioning from making food to the register and back — and their ability to monitor the waiting line, read discontent, and manage expectations, e.g., wait time, etc. I don’t frequent Subway often, but I wanted to note that this staff understands its audience and works hard to please them. I hope that the management knows that the staff can make or break this location; there are plenty of other sandwich venues nearby that could benefit from Subway’s failings.

customer service is horrible at this location and at the subway near press club. the young girl wearing some sort of head covering is quite rude and after finding a hair in my sandwich, she refused to refund me, but instead offered to make me a new sandwich. in the end i was refunded, but i was not apologised to. i don’t know what it is, but it seems like subway likes hiring disgruntled stoners that have no respect for people trying to buy something to eat. i’ve never been so disrespected at a restaurant before. i am a firm supporter of businesses in midtown, but all subway locations in or around midtown will not, i repeat, will not get my business, nor will i ever refer anyone to them. i hope this place fails their next and every health inspection.

This is the most spacious Subway I’ve seen. It also has the fewest chairs and tables I’ve seen. There’s really no point in coming here unless you enjoy waiting in long lines and standing and eating.

Rob S. is right. This is definitely the worst subway I’ve ever been to, and I used to eat at subway 2 – 3 times a week. They’re «any footlong» for $ 5 doesn’t include half the subs, they’re rude, and they give you about half of the meat that every other subway gives you. I ordered a chicken breast and they gave me the chopped up chicken. When I told them I wanted the chicken breast instead of the chopped up one, they said, «oh it’s already in the microwave.» «Can you take it out? I asked for the chicken breast?» «No, it’s already in the microwave.» What the… So my chicken bacon ranch ended up being lettuce and tomatoes on smashed wheat bread. Oh and they barely have enough seats. Go to 16th and S instead. They are nice, the place is cleaner, and they actually have any footlong for $ 5. I’ve never thought I would rate a subway 1 star, but this place really ticked me off.

What the hell am I doing eating back-to-back lunches at Subway? OK: I’ve been going into work mad hungry, skipping breakfasts, so by the time 10:30 rolls around I’m famished. Tired of pizza and burritos, the neighborhood Subway’s been a welcome reprieve. But two lunches is two too many; I won’t go back. The onions and lettuce are acrid. If you don’t order mayo on your sandwich, they’ll sure as hell make sure you have enough mustard. And after adding avocado and paying with ATM, the concept of a cheaper-than-usual lunch kinda goes out the window: $ 6.60 plus tax. I could be eating at La Bonne Soupe with that kind of scrilla. And then there’s Jared: He’s ubiquitous – staring out the window at you, peering at you over the chips, cajoling you with his dad pants of yesteryear. He’s larger than life and scary as hell – even distracting; it’s a wonder he doesn’t cause accidents at the 21st and J intersection. If I keep eating at Subway, will I too become a cardboard-character semblance of my old self? Will I start pouring Italian dressings on all my sandwiches? Will I buy size 40 pants and put them in my closet just to feel better about myself? I swear I’m packing lunch tomorrow. This has to stop. Now.

This Subway is clean and well-kept. The staff are friendly as well, and the vegetables are always fresh. I have always been a fan of Subway, though I have gone to a couple that weren’t well-cared for. This place is not one of them. They don’t accept credit cards, however they do accept ATM cards with a transaction fee($ 0.60 I believe). **Update: They do accept credit cards now. Yippee.
