Skin’Sations Spa

I visited Skin Sations Spa after seeing the website and reading the «Testimonials».
The place is somewhat hard to find, with only metered parking.
It is also incredibly small, has no front desk reception, and seems to be run by a single person. The products used were cheap and a few of the bottles looked very old and expired. There was a spot of what looked like blood on the cieling above me.
The person I had (sorry, forgot her name), was friendly but extremely unprofessional. Her cell phone not only rang 3 times during my services, but she actually answered it and had a conversation while she was waxing me!
The worst part though was her burning me and ripping my skin off while waxing my brows. She ripped off an inch and a half of sensitive eye area skin, which left raw skin that stung excessively. When I told her it was stinging, she put some liquid on it that made it even more painful.
The wound made it difficult to wash my face and shampoo my hair, since even plain water hitting it was painful. After 3 days, a large scab formed which was incredibly embarrassing since it was right on my face.
I promptly request a refund, to which i was met with some resistance from the waxer/​owner. It’s been two weeks and I have yet to receive it.
I am now looking into filing a complaint with the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology, and have been advised by my dermatologist to seek legal counseling.
AVOID THIS SPA AT ALL COSTS!
