Food is never greasy or too salty — the typical sins of Chinese restaurants. Healthy portions and friendly staff. Vegetables are not overcooked. Prices are fair. We get carryout regularly. I wish they were open Sunday. I like the old school name.

Peking Village is our Chinese restaurant. We’ve been ordering the Sesame Chicken, Potstickers, Won Ton soup for 20 years! Just love it!

We are eating takeout from PV right now and it gets three Fs: fresh, fabulous and fast. Love this food. The fried rice isn’t greasy, and the chow mien tastes like it’s sautéed in butter. We are going back soon.

I enjoy the food here but the water tastes like it comes out of the fish tank. Second time here and water is still gross.

I tried this place several years ago. I ordered the broccoli beef and it was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The beef was almost unrecognizable and very chewy. I am pretty easy to please but I have my limits. I have never gone back since.

«Salty Stir-Fry for Twice the Price($$)!» Service excellent! However, Peking Village may want to venture out into the neighborhood to see what their competition is cooking-up in terms of quality and value. Let’s start with the $ 7.75 Chicken with Black Bean Sauce(CBBS). Too salty(MSG?) and the black beans were not incorporated into the entrée very well. Black beans were sprinkled on top of the entrée like a garnish(?). Ordered this many times from other Chinese restaurants, never came this way. Portion of entrée is small(half-as much) in comparison to other Chinese restaurants in the area, expense rating mis-leading. Finished the plate of CBBS with a bowl(small) of $ 1.95 steamed rice and was still hungry. Could do better elsewhere spending $ 10.50(not incl tip) for lunch and not having leftovers(see below). I also ordered the $ 7.75 Broccoli Chicken and the flavor was not much different than the CBBS. Decided to take home without eating any, transferred contents and a 2nd $ 1.95 bowl of steamed rice to their styrofoam to-go container(see photo). Portion size is small(half) compared to other Asian restaurants in the area. Who really believes this is the best place for Chinese Food in Rosemont? I suggest you try the following $ restaurants for quality and value, and check out local photos(click): $ Teriyaki Chicken Express(Kiefer Blvd, across the street), $ 6-$ 7, fresh food tastes great, huge portions(enough to serve 2 or leftovers)! $ Hong Kong House(Folsom Blvd/Manlove Rd intersection), $ 7.95 Broccoli Chicken, $ 1.95 bowl(medium) steamed rice, fresh food tastes great, huge portions(enough to serve 2 or leftovers)! $ Tea Cup Café(21st St, Sacramento) food is fresh and tastes great, complimentary hot tea, restaurant generally full with many asian customers, reasonable portions. Lunch specials and $ 6 special menu!

Sorry, but to be honest this place is subpar… I got a small Hot and Sour Soup, Garlic Chicken and Chicken Chow Fun for $ 22, which for me is a bit pricey for chinese takeout. The Hot and Sour was acceptable, but the Garlic Chicken and Chicken Chow Fun were excessively oily and well overcooked. Garlic chicken was also on the bland side for me. In the end I feel disappointed in my local hole-in-the-wall chinese restaurant, and as I am not a high income earner, I worked too hard for low quality food. Sorry Peking Village you need to step up the game or step down for someone else. If you have a decent palette PASS on this place, if you have the munchies it may suit your«need.»

Best place for Chinese in and around 95826! Very accommodating restaurant with great choices and take-out is easy. Can’t go wrong with their general chicken or sesame chicken! YUM!

I came here today for my first time because I was determined to find an alternative to the overpriced Chinese Restaurant by my office. I was greeted with a kind welcome and helped right away. I came in for lunch and I was very happy that they had a Lunch Menu, it was about the same size as a two-entrée plate at a common commercialized chinese fast-food chain. I will definately come back to Peking Village again, their Sesame Chicken and Chow Mein lunch plate was amazing!

During my first visit at Peking Village I decided to take-out during lunch time. I wanted to see if they had a descent chow mein I was not looking for something out this world. Temperature was great Food taste was not bad, just blah(couple bites and pretty bland) Chow Mein was soaked in a vegetable water or something. In my time eating Chinese food the Chow Mein has been dry and descent portion of noodles are normally served. Would I order the same plate again, No. Would I visit them again, maybe but might have to try other restaurants for simple Chow Mein, SMH!!!

Came here on a tuesday afternoon not one other person was in there. Food was not that good and don’t get that much compared to other chinese restaurants. The service was horrible, one other customer came in and after about five minutes of being unattended had to ask us if anyone even worked there. I had to go in the back just to find someone to give the check to. The hot and sour soup was the highlight of the meal and that was just okay at best.

Great food – though it’s more like 3.5 stars than 4. The hot & sour soup was good, the pork fried rice was decent, and the«foil-wrapped chicken» was nice and tender – but the real star was the shrimp chow mien. Noodles were an excellent texture and just moist enough, and the shrimp was great. The portions were generous and price was reasonable, too. Though the service was nothing special – the guy was usually in the kitchen and I had to speak loudly to ask him to turn off the TV. Still, definitely recommended.

The best place for Chinese food in Rosemont. Tucked in the corner of the Save Mart plaza, Peking Village is often overlooked. But it has a wide variety of delicious food options for the adventurous patron :] The ambience is typical of any family-owened Chinese restaurant: it provides a very homey, warm feeling. There’s plenty of tables and booths to sit in. They let you pick where you want to be seated. Food is always served steaming hot and fresh. Beef and broccoli is my staple item here. Portions are large enough to last me a few meals and it’s very reasonably priced. The crab and cheese wontons are creamy, delicious wonders. There’s a reason I still have their number saved on my phone for years! Good for dining in and taking out. I usually opted for the take-out option because of my schedule, but my dine in experiences have always been wonderful.

Not bad! Not bad at all! I ordered the chicken salad and BBQ pork fried rice, and both were yummy. The salad was especially delicious, the dressing was great and the nice sized chunks of chicken were tender. The chicken salad is way better than the one Applebee’s serves, and that was my favorite until now. Will definitely go back to order the salad and fried rice again.

I’d give them 3 stars but Love and I really LOVE their hot and sour soup. One star for that soup alone. Some of their dishes aren’t that great… stay away from anything that has beef in it. They put too much tenderizer on their beef and it comes out flavorless and mushy. I like their chow mein… they use the skinny noodles so that it doesn’t have much room to mush up like other chinese restaurants do. Their lunch combos are okay– you just have to know what to order. They have this lemon chicken salad that is very tasty(not good for you as the chicken is deep fried). Anything that is deep fried is fairly crispy and all of their sauces are very good. When Love and I have lunch he usually gets Kungpao Chicken with chow mein… I have them make me mixed veggies with tofu. We usually spend about $ 20 on lunch and $ 30 on dinner but we always get more than enough food to last us until the next day! Service can be seen as rude– but if they recognize you they tend to get a little nicer.
