Food looks so good and so is the blonde cashier ;)

The teriyaki sauce is thick and like molasses. It makes the chicken oh so tasty. I typically get the teriyaki chicken plate which comes with chicken on a bed of rice with steamed veggies on the side and the aforementioned sauce separately. This is the perfect price for a quick and tasty meal. Don’t expect high end cuisine here but the staff will always treat you with a smile. Best bang for the buck in Rosemont. If you are in the neighborhood it is worth a trip through their drive-thru.

One of the best Teriyaki restaurants around! I highly recommend to anybody who enjoys a nice, reasonable priced meal! Jose is also awesome and very friendly :)

I’m not normally from around this area but I was hungry and I happened to be working down the street at a special event. This restaurant pulled up on my App and I was surprised that this place had some pretty extravagant reviews for a simple teriyaki place. I decided to give it a shot since I did like that they had a drive-thru. Customer service: POOR The cashier girl could use some customer service skills. She wasn’t rude or anything but she didn’t seem happy to see me either. I probably waited a little less than 5 mins, which wasn’t so bad. I give it 2 stars. Food: Chicken was actually pretty good, not dry and it wasn’t too thin cut like some other places, which I really liked. Rice was hot and boy, did they put a lot. For as much rice they put, maybe could’ve added a bit more chicken to the portion. I still had a lot of rice leftover when I was finished with the chicken. The vegetables were dull. I was not impressed and kind of wished that it was more of a salad with a simple dressing. I’d give the food a mere 4 stars considering it is simply a teriyaki place. I would probably come back if I so happened to be in the area and craving asian food on the go. I doubt I’d ever rave to any of my peers to try this place out.

I have not had a problem any where else putting eggs etc«on the side» none… any where else. Also I have been here many times and this time did not receive any more rice than usual. I get my eggs on the side at taco bell and mcdonalds every time i go. Lets tell the truth.

Have you ever gone to a sit down restaurant that has a drive through? Well, this one has it!!! It was totally unusual but it worked though we walked in!!! LOL! I stumbled upon this hidden gem bc of a Unilocal search basically very homey but OMG look at the foodie pics!!! I picked up food to go though they do have seating in the restaurant. Plus it was nice they had a decent bathroom. What was important too there was plenty of parking as well. Once the food was ordered it was prepared so quickly that there was hardly a wait which makes it understandable that a drive through does work!!! Once we brought the food home it was delicious! I ordered the Korean ribs with just cooked veggies and no rice. The ribs were yummy & veggies were cooked perfectly, crisp and decent flava. Husband ordered double chicken which also included the veggies & rice. OMGOSH! There was a ton of food in that styrofoam container!!! You know what? I’m already planning to come back very soon!!! I liked my food THATMUCH!!! See you soon Teriyaki Chicken Express! I just hope I didn’t let the cat out of the bag! LOL

This is one of our favorite places. The food is always great, fresh and consistent. The teriyaki sauce is perfect, the chicken is always cooked just right, rice is tasty and not chewy or too sticky and the veggies are steamed to perfection. The guy that is regularly working the drive-thru is super friendly as well and he gets your order to you quick.

Outstanding! This is probably the best place I know of to get teriyaki chicken. The chicken is superbly grilled thigh meat with a delicious teriyaki sauce and comes with freshly cooked vegetables including carrots, cabbage, and broccoli and white rice .I am also a huge fan of the garlic chicken here which is battered and fried chunks of chicken, bell peppers, onions, and white rice with mild or hot garlic sauce. So yummy! Once you try this place, you will find yourself driving miles out of your way just to get your fix.

I love this place and the fact that they have a drive thru. I actually drive out of my way to get food sometimes. I usually order the double chicken plate or a side of chicken; both are enough for two servings. The side of chicken is perfect for lazy meal prep weeks. The chicken chow mein has really good flavor, but I just wish that they use less oil. Egg rolls are good, but again… a bit greasy. I pass on the shrimp tempura because like the other reviewer indicated, the shrimp is not properly cleaned. Prices are reasonable and the employees are always super friendly.

One of the best Teriyaki places around. The meat is never dry or over cooked. The veggies are spot on. And the rice is rice. I’ve eaten here 5 times in the last 2 months. Great place to get your gains(if you know what I mean). Just ask for the low carb/low rice option. I’m trying to get bigger than the bro that runs the place. Now I know his secret.

Outstanding ! I love finding a place with great food and low prices that actually brings it! Got the teriyaki Beef and chicken vegetable combo. Great flavor marinated chicken melted in your mouth. Teriyaki beef went fantastic with vegetables and rice and a little Siricha. Really healthy portions. This place is a little hole in the wall but I’m like the way they serve all of their entrées in China bowls. A very nice touch to pick things up a notch. I saw a lot of different options at different tables that looked fantastic. I can only say I wish this place was closer to my house, but then I’d be a lot fatter.

Have been a fan of this Teriyaki Chicken Express since 1997 when we first moved to the Sacramento area! Used to get just the teriyaki chicken bowls but now always go with the Double Chicken(#5, not the combo) and share. The chicken is always grilled great, tender and juicy, never dry. The teriyaki sauce is what really makes it special — love drowning the chicken and sticky rice in that sweet stuff. The veggies that come with are also steamed well, not mushy, still has a crunch/firm bite to them too. Parking is a challenge but I prefer walking in my order than drive-thru. Great deal. Closed Sundays.

Glad I finally decided to try this place! PROS: FOOD: I tried the beef and chicken combo, which cost $ 6.99 and well worth the price! The chicken was well marinated, moist, and perfectly grilled. The beef was thinly sliced and also cooked well. The to-go tray is a little deceiving; it doesn’t have any food spacers, which is good because it allows rice to line the whole bottom of the tray while not wasting space. The whole thing is a very hearty serving! CUSTOMERSERVICE: The employee who helped me was incredibly friendly and even complimented me on my car. When I asked for a little more time he was pleasant and didn’t sound annoyed like other places I’ve been to. DRIVETHRU: I mean come on this teriyaki place has a drive thru! Not many smaller mom and pop shops have a drive thru so this is a huge plus when you’re feeling too lazy to get out of your pjs. CONS: HOURS: I wish I could go to this place 24⁄7 lol. They close at 7pm on Saturday and close on Sundays. Oh well, I understand, it’s probably a family owned business that might actually enjoy spending time with their family. CONSENSUS: I am stoked I found this place! The price is super good, the food is high quality and tasty, and the customer service is good! I will definitely spend more of my money here!

Crying. Because of how good the food is here. The best part? You wouldn’t know from the outside that this spot will show your stomach mad love. Not hidden, but not flashy. This family ran restaurant is my go-to-spot for a quick and delicious meal. I think what gets me is that they serve the food fast enough for me to not have to wait that long, but not too fast where I feel like it’s fast food. You can tell they cook the food(probably with love), when you take your first bite. It’s warm, luscious, zesty, and filling all in one. The chicken teriyaki is the go-to order here for me, and I think for everyone else as well. Look at the pictures that were uploaded! That’s exactly what you’ll get! A mini mountain of food with some fresh veggies to balance it out, all on top of a filling portion of white rice. What’s chicken without rice. *sighs from happiness* Lowkey though, the sweet and sour chicken is da real MVP.

AHHH-MAYY-ZING! Not only do i love their rice bowls, udons, chicken chow mein, etc., I really love the service! The workers are hard working and totally give off that home-cooked lovin’ vibe.:) I notice they have a handful of «usuals» and the workers always remember the returning customers! Great price for the portion they give! Be prepared to leave super full! But i also love coming here for take out as well. They prepare the food super quickly so you never have to worry about waiting in long lines.

When you have a business named«Teriyaki Chicken Express», you feel somewhat skeptical of how good the food might actually be. And if it weren’t for the respectable amount of 4 – 5 star reviews that I read on this place, I would not even think twice of going here. Considering they are one of many Chinese fast food places, I didn’t even know what to expect. Located in the heart of the Rosemont neighborhood of Sacramento directly on Kiefer Blvd., «Teriyaki Chicken Express» was fairly easy to find. I came here with my lovely lady, Claudia H. on a Tuesday evening(around 6:30pm) after a long days work. One thing we both noticed when pulling into the parking lot was the flavorful aromatic smells of the chicken grilling from the restaurant. This was already a good sign! Another neat feature is that they actually offer a drive-thru window in case you don’t feel like getting out of your car. However, we both decided to dine-in as our house is at least a 20-minute drive away. Once entering, we noticed there was only one other customer dining in. However, the drive-thru line snaked around the building as I sense the majority of customers use this to their advantage. Once walking up to the counter, a very nice gentleman greeted us, asked if we have dined there before, and recommended some of their specialty combo meals. We were both treated very well as their customer service was definitely two thumbs up in my book. After narrowing down a few different selections, I finally settled with the #21 combo, none other than their popular«Chicken Teriyaki» meal(for $ 6.79). This combo includes a side of veggies, steamed rice, & an egg roll. My lady ordered their«Chicken Udon Bowl»(for $ 6.49). The bowl itself includes the traditional thick udon noodles, chicken, and various vegetables. Total price after our meals and drinks came to around $ 15.00, not bad for a dinner for two. One thing that definitely was a wow factor is the speediness of the food. In fact, both of our meals came out in around three minutes! No wonder why they offer a drive-thru! After using several sauces(Teriyaki sauce and Sriracha) to sweeten and spice up my meal, I finally indulge in my first bite. The seasonings of the chicken are very flavorful and decent. Each bite got the job done as I was satisfied, at least the chicken part of it. The vegetables were forgettable and served no purpose. However, I did like the egg roll that was presented with the meal. I also tried some of my lady’s udon bowl. This was decent but I’d only have to give it 3-stars in my book as there just wasn’t enough chicken to justify it being a great bowl. For the price what you pay for, you definitely get your moneys worth. I’ve had much better Teriyaki chicken in my time that offers much more in terms of flavor and quantity. But if you’re looking a place that has excellent service while receiving your food in a quick and timely manner that won’t burn a hole in your wallet, then«Teriyaki Chicken Express» just might be for you!
