I had a good experience buying… much attention… in reflection… pressure. be careful because there is a 10 day return policy. Yes…10LONG days(Haha). My dress was bought 3 months prior to the event. I was sick and unable to wear it. I brought it in about 11months after purchase to see if I might get instore credit to return… not ever expecting any cash return. I had a shawl in the box. She would not take back my shawl either or a necklace. She said she wbould give me 30whole days of her displaying dress for sale. That was fine but her attitude was extremely rude and she said several times that I made her day start out badly due to coming in. But seriously, it was her whole nasty attitude of why I will shop at other places in the future. Nasty and demeaning attitudes wont bring return customers katia. Boutiques I shopped while living in bay area were always gracious to their customers. Katia has an air of superiority. Maybe she has her regulars. She probably looses a few new ones with that attitude. I hope you will be gracious to all future customers.

I’m always on the hunt for cool boutique shops that I feel help support the local economy and get me out of the mall. Unfortunately, this one did not meet my criteria. I like to point out the good points first: the store is clean, well lit, and the clothes are well displayed which is what drew me in, in the first place. Great location for a store in East Sac. What I didn’t like was the price tag. Items were unabsorbently expensive, I didn’t feel comfortable staying long. I’m willing to pay reasonable prices for nice items, but this felt over my limit. And I could only spot one item that I wanted to try on. The sales person helping me at the time was more than willing to find items for me(store owner perhaps? I don’t know she had a thick accent). I always feel awkward in places like this because there’s too much pressure to stay and buy something. I asked about earrings to go with a party dress, but I didn’t find anything I liked or within my price range. So I politely said no thank you and left. But it’s hard not to feel like a stick in the mud for not fitting into this place. There are some wealthy people in East Sac area, but for the most part it seems out of place having a store like this in Sacramento. It would fit more in with a tourist area location.

Some nice unique women’s clothing but rather pricey(made in USA). Not a lot of large sizes. The owner, Katia, seemed to be busy with another customer. I was approached by another sales clerk. She seemed disappointed that I was not looking for anything special and ignored me after that. I was expecting a little more friendliness from a sales person, possibly asking me if I had been in that store before or telling me what the latest arrivals were. I used to work in retail, so I have a pretty good idea of what female shoppers like. I was surprised to be basically ignored in this small boutique. Katia did pay a lot of attention to one«lucky» customer. Maybe she was a regular customer, I don’t know. She should consider training her sales person to do the same thing with new customers. I doubt I will go back.

I love Katia’s for its great clothing selection and Katia, the owner’s, wonderful customer service. It’s the go-to store for my wardrobe needs, from finding the perfect outfit for a special occasion to travel and work clothes. Katia is an artist – she knows how clothes fit, what will be the most flattering styles and colors and what will coordinate with my existing wardrobe. She has dramatically improved my wardrobe and fashion style. It’s great to know that whatever the occasion, with Katia’s expert guidance, I am dressed appropriately and look great. Thanks Katia!

Sadly another bad review I’m afraid! I went into this store right before I shopped in Finders Keepers, which is FAB!(And I always get a ton of compliments on my new bag!) Anyway back to the review. So I wander in, and the owner is talking to her friends, which I thought was kind of odd, as there was no acknowledgment of me, but as it happens I do like to be left to browse on my own. So my first observation was that this is a store for older(much older) women, most of the clothes were very dated, a little like J Jill meets Coldwater Creek with outrageous prices to go with it($ 110 for a Tee). Well her cronies finally leave and she directs her attention to me, asking me over and over what I am looking for, what size do I need, do I want to try on a pair of these new pants etc… to which I reply each time, «oh thanks but I’m just having a look around»(get my drift?) I decide this is not the place for me and make my escape, on the way out I catch sight of a cute(yes cute!) dress, so I stop to look. She then comes over and in her thick accent say’s «well that is much to small for you» oh wow; did she just call me fat? So I say, well I do wear this size(M) and it’s cute she then says, no it’s going to be to small, I can see it won’t fit!(What a hag) so I get irritated and make my way out of her store. As I am leaving she says under her breath, HOWRUDE! So I turn around and ask her what she said, to which she then launches into me, telling me how rude I was and never come into her store again and what’s wrong with the youth of today! I couldn’t believe it she yelled at ME! For being rude! Then she carries on for another minute or so; in fact I left the store with her still yelling at me! I have to be honest it really shook me up and upset me! This was a TERRIBLE shopping experience. I am telling all my friends not to come her unless they like to be harassed and cussed at! To bad, even despite how bad the economy is, you should never treat people this way! So not only are the clothes over-priced nylon, un-stylish old hag clothes, but I would say the same about the store-owner! Save yourself some trauma and shop at the mall!
