Very vibrant atmosphere and staff is nice. My only issue is consistency. Out of the last 4 visits, twice our order has come out wrong. Each time I let them know ‘no sour cream, I have an allergy’, they seem to think it means to add extra! I always confirm it with the order taker, so I’m thinking it’s a kitchen issue. Other than that, the food comes out hot, fast and presentable.

Never have had a bad visit to any Dos locations. This particular one is a nice change up for the eclectic R Street corridor. Not a suburban chain, but a safe know what you’re getting for a $ 10 plate. The bottled beer selection here is wonderful for how small it is.

This is a mediocre place to grab a quick lunch but when pressed for time it will have to do. The place is casual, full of people on lunch break, people are in fast and out fast. The setting is casual and they do have alcohol. Food is kind of bland over all and salsa is not very spicy. But when pressed on time and in Sacramento downtown/midtown it will do. Jusy about everything is under $ 10 and the staff is very nice.

All the staff are so friendly and helpful here. The adobe salad is huge and can easily be rolled into a burrito halfway through it! Two delicious meals for the price of one.

My coworkers and I went in and ordered to dine in. There were 6 of us and they came out with everyone’s order but mine. They made a mistake and forgot about my order. The(possibly the manager) gentleman serving everyone came and apologize. He offered me free lunch the next time I came in. I ordered the Yucatan salad… The portion was huge and it was delicious!!! I’m craving it already!

The taco I had wasn’t that great. The bathrooms also smelled bad. But the burrito my friend had was really good, and so were the margaritas. Pretty strong. Adam was also super friendly, and showed great customer service. Overall, it was a really good experience. :) If I’m ever in Sacramento again, definitely would go back to this place for drinks and burritos.

I’ve been here a few times and the service was very good. The last time there, it was so crowded there were no tables available. The manager was great. He took the initiative to hold our food till a table opened and had the table cleared for us immediately. The food is great and I appreciate that they have gluten free options. My only complaint is that the salsas are not as tasty as the other location I have been to in Folsom. Maybe they tone down the spices in the midtown location? And, why aren’t they labeled. One in particular is very sweet, which I don’t like, and needs to be labeled so I know which ones to avoid. I have to make my own mix using half the green salsa and half the watery spicy red salsa to come up with one I can eat. Overall I am very happy to eat there but the salsa thing is annoying.

I ordered a chicken quesidilla and drink. Wasn’t impressed. The food was really bland. The young girl at the counter was polite, but when I asked for chips for the salsa she said it was only if you purchased a taco or burrito! Really? So, I’ve spend almost $ 11 bucks and I can’t get a few chips? I think she saw that I was dissatisfied so she offered them to me. But they were cold and bland.

The bean burrito is excellent. The restaurant is at a prime location near midtown. It’s a chill place to be and the service is decent. I like it

Fresh food! And I just have to say they do not skimp on the amount of meat they give you. I’ve phoned in my order at least 5 times and they are always so friendly on the phone and my food is ready so quick!

This is from my own experience… This place is really nice and the food is good. I love there salsa bar. Me and my bf used go to the one in Davis but, now there is one close to home, its even better. I always order from there special menu since I know I probably won’t ever see it again, or taste it. So far the few times we went in to order it didn’t disappoint. There enchiladas are pretty good and I always order chicken. The burritos are big and tastey, they come with chips. The plates menu are nice and filling with side of rice and beans. (The fountain drink is a awesome)

I made an order for pick up today and the lady working the ToGo was very rude. I will not be returning. What ever happened to customer support. After posting this the manager reached out and was very nice. I really appreciate that customer service and now will be coming back. The burritos we did order were delicious.

I had a southwest chicken burrito for $ 6.50. If you’re dining in, it’s probably better to get some sauce on top because it seemed plain and dry. The guacamole didn’t impress me. The fresh chips did, though! I felt like a lost tourist at the salsa bar. The service definitely needs some improvement. Our waiter brought us multiple plates and wasn’t sure which was which.

I’m a midtown local and was really hoping for a good burrito spot but this left me disappointed. I asked for extra spicy, they said they could make it spicier but not very and recommended I try some of the salsas to add more heat. Maybe I missed it, but none of the salsas I tried packed any kind of heat. I ordered a burrito with pulled pork off the menu. The cashier said they didn’t have pulled pork, just regular pork which was a weird customer service moment when I just read«pulled pork» on the printed menu. The burrito was bland, it was pretty much just half bland pork and bland pico de gallo, no beans or rice or cheese I saw. I thought maybe it was an off day because they just opened. I went back and tried a different burrito and it was equally unsatisfying and bland. On a less important note, I was expecting a larger burrito. If I actually finished either burrito I’m sure I would’ve have been full. I’m just used to paying that price for a burrito and having leftovers, like at Chipotle or La Fiesta. Food: 1⁄5 Customer service: 3⁄5 Another reviewer said that the inside was tacky and dated. I actually thought it kind of cool. Really that’s my only positive point about this location. If you’re expecting the same flavor as the Arden Location, you’re going to be disappointed. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

If Dos Coyotes wants to make it on the R Street corridor, they seriously need to up their flavor game! DC is one of my go-to spots for casual/cheap dining. I love their menu, their salsa bar, and their fancy shmancy Coke machine. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with this most recently opened location(my go-to is the Market Square-Arden one which is consistently good). My takeout order was simple enough: grilled corn(seasonal item), a side of rice, and a Southwest steak burrito(meat, guac, cheese, hold the salsa for my guy). His burrito seemed a lot smaller than it normally comes, as if they skimped on the meat. The chips(free with the burrito) were so stale that if it weren’t for the tasty salsa, would have been totally inedible. My corn was grilled ok, but they didn’t give me a side of the chipotle butter and philosopher cheese, like how it came last time I ordered it to-go from the Arden location. Instead, the butter and just a sprinkle of cheese were put on it. It definitely needed more of both! The rice was mushy and bland. Nothing about the food was satisfying. The staff and service were great though. Two stars is just for the food. I’ve experienced better!

If you are an employee of Chipotle and you are reading about the competition that just came to R Street, don’t even trip because the food is just as «authentic» as yours. I went there the other day to grab a quick bite and drink around dinner time with some friends and I ordered the chips with guacamole, bacon, and blue cheese(remember I said quick). The guacamole was actually decent even though I wasn’t really able to taste the bacon as much. However, you can not have good or decent guacamole unless you have slices of tortillas that meet the qualifications of what is known as a chip, tortilla chip for that matter. The chips that they gave me that day were bendable and not breakable. The chips were very stale and not crispy at all. It was very hit or miss to find a decent chip that was worthy of being called good. I didn’t come here for authenticity, but for quality. 2 stars for the drinks and customer service.

Tried the Sacramento location for lunch. I ordered the quesadilla with pasilla pepper, but it came with what looked like canned green chilies. So bland. Décor is Santa Fe circa 1985 — with the howling coyotes. They could use a fresher look. I’m a regular at Dos in Davis, but the quality isn’t as good as it used to be.

Big bad breakfast burritto! I mean«bad» in a good way. That thing was seriously good. It was packed full of chorizo, eggs and cheese. One of the bigger breakfast burritos I’ve had. That guy at the grill really knows what he’s doing. Dos Coyotes never seems to fail. The salads, burritos, and salsas are all good. I really enjoy their salsa bar, although this location doesn’t have one. Too bad… I do like their avocado salsa. I’ve eaten at most of their locations and haven’t had a bad experience yet. If I could buy stock in this chain, I would!

I went here the other day and really enjoyed it! My fellow Sacto natives told me it’s a chain, but this is my first time trying any location. Please note, this is a restaurant where you go up and order and take a seat. Then, they bring the food to you. I ordered the crispy beef tacos and the quesadilla. The beef tacos were amazing. They had the right amount of crisp and the actual beef was really good. When I went, they had their salsa bar out. I tried all of the salsas, but amazingly my favorite was the strawberry salsa. It reminds me of a traditional salsa, but sweeter. It was very tasty and I recommend it. The service was also very good and the place is very, very clean. Oh, and they have one of those neat coke machines with a million flavors. A+!

Stopped by here on my lunch break and asked the guy at the register how long they had been open. Turns out, only a week! I started a new job near here a month ago and was frustrated at the lack of quality Mexican food, so I was excited to give this place a try. I am a restaurant snob from the Bay Area, so I critique everything(lol). A friendly person greeted me outside and let me have a to go menu, which will come handy when I am sitting at my desk and contemplating what I want to eat for lunch. The interior is very trendy and festive/fun. Good job on that! The staff is extremely friendly, and the place was packed, which is a good sign. The drinks: great selection of soft drinks. The salsa bar: clean, fresh, and big! The food: I ordered the chicken Southwest burrito. Here is where I am taking off two stars — the burrito was a bit small for the price! Before I received my food, I saw a different burrito being carried out and thought to myself, «That must be the kid size burrito.» I was surprised to find that it was actually the size of the burrito. It wasn’t until after the fact that I realized a better value would have been to get the Specialty plate, which comes with rice and beans. Everyone around me seemed to have bigger plates because they ordered the sides on the combo plate. But I must say, the burrito itself was DELICIOUS and wonderfully flavored, but way too small. So, with that said, I am heading back to work and hoping that I am not going to be hungry for the rest of the day. Next time I’ll try a combo plate and report back to Unilocal
