Steak ‘n Shake

horrible. every. single. time. if there are two cars in line, it takes 20 – 30 minutes to get the ONE shake you ordered. this last visit, the nutella shake had hardly any nutella. it was too thick to go through the straw, they gave me whipped cream when i asked for no whipped cream, and there were ice chunks.

At least we didn’t wait 10 min this time through the drive-​thru. I felt the burgers were smashed worse then I’ve ever had at McDs, and twice as expensive for half filled fry cups. Wouldn’t go there again

Went at 10pm through the drivethru. Sat at the speaker box for 6 minutes. Ordered 3 shooters. A shake and a lemonade. Daf in the line for another 12. Sat at the window for about 8 minutes without any recognition. Had to knock on the window to add a shake. Had no acknowledgement if they did or not. Was asked to pull up where we waited for another 10 minutes. Finally got out of the car and went inside. We had been waiting for about 26 minutes. Asked to talk to the manager who ha no interest in helping. Would have been easier to go inside or better yet. Not gone at all. To top it off the shakes were wrong and the sliders were cold.

I’ve been waiting to sit down for 10 minutes. Waited for menus for 15 minutes. Didn’t receive drinks for 10 minutes after we got our food. No one has even checked on us while we were waiting for our bill. Worst service. Great food. For now on I’m only going to Boyton’s steak and shake. This isn’t the first time. It’s the 5^th sadly.

The food here is always good but you can’t call it fast food because this place is anything but fast. We used to eat here a lot but there must have been a management change or something in the past 6 – 12 months because the service at this location is soooooo slow. Sitting here now and it’s maybe a quarter full and took almost 10 minutes for a waitress to take out drink order. I’m about to give up on this location.

A small improvement than the last time I visited this location of Steak and Shake.
Cons:
The food wasn’t cold, but it was not hot.
The baby high chair was missing straps, so that’s very unsafe!
Pros:
Much better service; the waitress was attentive.
The food was tasty.
Okay Steak and Shake, I gave you two more stars than last time. Let’s see if next time we can get to five!

Service (both the service to order food and get food to your table) is really slow… something is causing this restaurant location to be slow. Staff is good (but sometimes they forget things), and food/​prices are decent if you are looking for a somewhat cheap lunch.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place has been horrible every single time I’ve been without fail. Being one of the few places open 24 hours in Wellington you’d expect it to actually be good at least. I waited for 30 minutes for a simple chocolate fudge brownie milkshake. After asking if it was going to be coming out soon, very politely, the man rolled his eyes and walked away. They brought me a small cup with a frozen chunk of vanilla icecream and a dollop of chocolate syrup. I asked if this was the right milkshake because there were no brownies and no fudge and he ignored me again. I wanted a refund so badly but couldn’t bare to put up with the horrible attitude and classless service any longer. Everyone working appeared to be miserable with their lives which I could understand not enjoying the night shift but no worker should have that type of workplace demeanor. This place is a failure. They need a new staff, better training and manners. Steak ‘n Shake management if you’re reading this please mail me my $ 3.07.

Service is always horrible but today was the final straw. They sat us, then left us sitting in a booth for 15m, with no one bothering to even greet us despite my flagging down two employees. The restaurant was half empty too!
It’s unfortunate… the food is usually pretty good and the kids love to eat there, but we won’t be back until the place is under new management.

The guy at the drive thru (12÷5÷15 @1030am) has the best customer service I have ever received. 5-​star for this place because of him! That type of employee is someone whom you would hire right on the spot and would offer more $$ to work for you because you know the place will run very good and successful. Employees like him makes your business very good! Thanks for making my day!

I am writing this as I sit waiting for my food so I am obviously hangry. It’s been 45 minutes since I ordered and I still don’t have my food. Unacceptable. I should be done and on my way home by now. Avoid this location unless you have all night to wait.

I finally just received my milkshakes after waiting for 45 minutes. I placed an online order over 3 hours ago then called 20 minutes before to tell them I would be a little early. The girl said no problem. I’ve never waited this long for two milkshakes. There was like 20 employees working but clearly customer service isn’t a priority. I would of just rather have had a refund but no one was even in the front. So ridiculous. That store needs to get their act together.

Food, shakes are great. Waiter Daniel is really nice but manager on shift on 10÷24÷15 at 9:15pm is very rude to staff in front of customers.

Worst service i have received here. Twenty minutes for food, been 25 minutes and still don’t have shakes. Shift leader on duty needs to get it together.

Service has been awful the last few times we have gone here. You walk in and regardless of how few customers there re every table is dirty and not cleaned off. After being seated we have waited up to twenty minutes to get out order taken and easily that again before it came out. Management needs to be redone.

Food & Shakes are Great, Service is good, but the whole time my family and I were eating, we continuously heard the managers complaint about the staff and the missing guacamole.

I don’t understand what happened to this place. It used to be so good. I don’t ever come here anymore but I did today and was just as disposing as I was the last few times I’ve been here. Service was awful, managers didn’t know how to do their job. I asked for a banana milkshake with Reese’s and caramel and I got a banana milkshake with less than half a scoop of Reese’s and chocolate syrup. Mind you the resteraunt was pretty much empty and there was no cars in the drive thru. I wouldn’t have posted this on Unilocal except that they have such bad attitudes and this happens literally everytime I go there.

An ok place for good fast food burgers, fries and ice cream shakes! A fast food place with Dine in service! Their new jalapeño burger is good. They always have coupons! Saw a few and that gave an option to go! It is ok! Please tip the young servers if they help you. ours looked like a high school kid! :)

Slowest service EVER!!! And as I see… I’m not the first to complain about it. Really should work on that.

We are craving for steak and shake. We will see today if they are still Mistake n Shake… rah time we come through the drive through they always make a mistake with our order
