They refused to wrap my soggy ass burrito, everything was below MOR and completely hard to eat/enjoy, I’m glad they closed, good riddance!

I eat at Zumba all the time. The food is just so good. My husband likes it too. Subscribe to the email newsletter and get 20% off sometimes(which is good because they’re a little pricey). The salsa bar is well-stocked, and the salsa is the best I can find around here. I must mention that the portions can be on the small side. There is a certain member of the Zumba staff who is super-stingy, especially with rice. She’ll give you like one tablespoon of rice in the burrito bowl. And gets a pissed-off look if you ask for more. She’s not friendly. The other people are nice, though. Zumba is way better than Taco Bus, so if you like Taco Bus, you will LOVE Zumba.

I love Zumba’s. The Mexican checkin is amazing! The bowl is my favorite and it is definitely a step or two up from Chipotle or Qdoba.

I rarely go here because I love going down to Mexican town and hitting taco trucks or El Ray or Pollo Chapin but recently I stopped in because I has 30 minutes for lunch and live down the road. I ordered a Tacon(taco shell shaped like a waffle cone). I don’t know why this thing is so good, it isn’t any different than a taco salad but there is something special about it, enough for me to come back again tonight. Although this place is a bit expensive, I believe it is better that Qdoba or chains similar, maybe it isn’t but there is only one. The Tacon is just under 9 bucks, but they did add a generous helping guacamole. The braised pork is all that I’ve had from here and it is really good, not dried out and had a nice spice, not hot but spicy. The toppings: black olives, lettuce, beans(black and pinto), lettuce, and onions are all fresh. It’s a good place to go, but you will pay a few bucks more than competitors.

The toppings at Zumba are like Froot Loops. You think they would taste different because, you know, they’re different colors(and of different variety). But as I was chewing, I couldn’t quite distinguish between each vegetable/bean/rice grain. And you just know how good a restaurant’s food is by the quality of their olives… These olives aren’t that great.

My go to for quick lunch, if I’m being honest I go about once a week. The service is usually ‘okay’ fairly quick but with very little friendliness, no matter who is behind the counter. I would just think after coming back to the same place every week for at least the last six months I would get a little better treatment, but what can you do. The food I’ve found is good, a step up from qdoba or chipotle, I usually get a grilled chicken burrito and have really never been disappointed as far as taste and flavor go. My one main complaint would be the price, on average a burrito and a drink are around $ 10 – 12, little high in my opinion. Overall this is a good place for a quick lunch but watch the add ons(guac, veggies) otherwise it can get really pricey

Nice contrast to Chipotle who cut down the size of their burritos. It was so big it really couldn’t be rolled up. Mexican chicken tasted really good. Location isn’t the best as it’s hard to find from the street and you only see it if you go to park for the movie theater.

Stopped in on Sunday– that is key because I hate to pay for parking for take out. It is a great place for my vegetarian daughter and I to get some tasty food.

I have eaten here several time. The food is good, consistent. The ingredients are all very fresh. The salsa bar is a great one! This is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants around, besides Mexican town!

Overall, this is average Mexican food with a Subway theme. The 20 something food preps behind the ordering window are«scoop artists,» with the culinary expertise of a hair-net wearing con working the chow line for good behavior. Anyone spending their hard earned money should be AWARE of the upcharges, because the children serving this slop do not tell; they just politely ask. The«extras» add up and you will quickly realize the servings in relation to the prices are disproportionate.

After opting out and just hitting up the usual qdoba or chipotle, i decided to give Zumba a try. I was pretty pleased. Not only did they offer fish tacos, but also a salsa bar with a variety of condiments. I suggest the whipped jalapeño. The staff was super friendly and the place was clean. I’ll definitely keep this in my mex-rotation. Olé!

Best Mexican in town! I don’t know where some of these other reviewers are coming from. Chipotle and Qudoba do not even compare! Zumba is local, fresher and tastes healthier and more delicious. Despite their new location, they have been in Royal Oak for ages and have tons and tons of followers. You MUST try the stewed Mexican chicken!!! If you go here and do not try it, I don’t trust your review at all. It’s amazing and no other place offers anything like it. Amazing spices and perfectly cooked. The guacamole is also fresher and better than chipotle or Qudoba.

I’m completely obsessed with their quacamole. The right amount of everything, awesome consistency. The burritos are pretty all right as well but i mostly user them for a delivery vehical for the quacamole. They also sell tubs of it to go which thrills me. You won’t be sorry.

I’ve been eating here on a regular for the past 10 years. It’s fast and it’s tasty. I usually stop in for a quick/light lunch. 2 fish tacos with a side of chips and Gaucamole. The staff is friendly. Sometimes parking can be a pain, they only have about 4 designated spots in front of their resturant. I do miss the old location across the street and the feel of that building, but the taste and quality of the food is the same so I’m happy. Can’t beat the salsa bar. Try them all! From time to time they have specials, I’ve had their al pastor and it was delicious! I wish they would make this a regular menu item.

I love this place, it’s sort of a hidden gem. Always fresh meats, veggies, salsas. The staff is very nice even when extremely busy. They will personalize your order however you like. The salsa bar is my favorite, I definitely mix-and-match nearly every single one LOL. I have had everything from the burrito in a bowl to the fish tacos, meat dishes to vegetarian. Always happy. And not too salty, like many Mexican style restaurants can be.

The thing I remember most about my burrito bowl was that it was just a soggy mess. The sour cream and guacamole both had a weirdly liquid consistency, it tasted ok, but maybe they add water to make it easier to pour on top? The salsa bar is a great idea, but the salsa was runny too. The«hot» salsa seemed pretty mild to me. People are calling this«authentic», but I don’t see it. A burrito and a burrito bowl set us back $ 25.50. Cost more than Chipotle and Quadoba(clearly a knock off), but an inferior copy. It seemed to me the ingredients were not fresh. They were out of steak so I had the chicken and they were pretty stingy with it. Had to pay $ 2.00 for parking in their lot. It would have been $ 1.50 but the machine didn’t give change and my card wouldn’t work. I see that earlier reviews were awesome, but more recent ones are not so much. Maybe it’s going downhill. Locals must know this because town is crazy busy but it was very slow here… They need to stop cutting corners or they won’t survive. Most people know when they’re getting taken and won’t continue to pay more for an inferior product. Make some changes and maybe we’ll try once more.

It pains me to write this review since Zumba is my go to place for a quick burrito/taco fix in the area, however since moving to this new location, I just have not been as impressed. On recent visits, I feel no matter what meat I order, it completely lacks flavor and is mushy. The past few times I had them add the grilled peppers/onions to my order and they are sad, limp and dried out. There is also a sauce they add to your burrito when you get it fajita style and I couldn’t even taste it. Honestly the only thing I really could taste is the beans and the cilantro that are on my orders. The salsas completely lack flavor. The medium house salsa just tastes like plain canned tomatoes, the verde is just spice, no actual flavor, and the smokey is just smoke. It all just has one note, no layers of flavor that I especially look for in mexican food. I was so dissappointed in a recent visit that the next day I made tacos the next night so I could satisfy my mexican craving! I will probably visit again since it’s convenient and because I don’t want to give up hope just yet, so hopefully I can update this review back to a 4 star!

Sure, it’s a Qudoba knockoff, but they do it better, with fresher ingredients… I love it. Great guac, tons of salasa choices that you get to make yourself at the salsa bar, and you can take as much as you’d like. There’s no «$ 0.50 extra» for another cup. The pork tacos and the fish tacos are excellent. The stewed chicken is just ok, and the grilled skirt steak is good, but it is a little dry… It has great flavor, but it is pre-cooked and it does dry out. That’s the breaks when you use real steak and not some processed crap. =) You get an A+ for quality fast food in my book.

I enjoy a BowlRito from time to time. The ingredients are fresh, the guacamole is good and I like the salsa options at the salsa bar. I’ve also tried the tacos and the quesadillas. Everything I have had here is good. Way better IMO than the chain restaurant competition. That being said, I really liked the old location across the street so much better. The new location feels less authentic and too big. And you have to pay to park now. The staff are hit or miss, some nice and others uninterested. For fast Mexican, it’s a good choice.

As always, muy bueno! You can’t go wrong with the fish tacos.
